Harmony Patterson was married to the man that every female wanted, Julius “King” Patterson. She lived the lifestyle that most women dreamed about. King provided her with everything in the world, but their marriage was lacking two things, love and affection. Tired of sleeping alone, and feeling unwanted she seeks comfort in the arms of another man, Malachi.
Is the grass greener on the other side? Will a night full of lust cost Harmony her marriage forever? Find out in this steamy novel full of love, lies and deceit!
I liked the book and the book was actually well written. The characters themselves however weren't very likeable people. I understood that Harmony was unhappy but I didn't see where she was attempting to take the steps to find happiness for herself. She wanted King to fill a void that I personally felt she needed to do for herself first and then take the necessary steps to try and fix the relationship she had with King. Her entire being and life revolved around both her daughter and her husband and there is nothing wrong with that but she needed to have something that was completely hers to allow everyone to see her worth. She instead chose to step outside of her vows to pursue a facade of happiness that ultimately resulted in causing more heartache and grief. King was typical of a lot of men. He didn't know how to communicate, he equated love and affection with material things and providing for his family. He did not understand that he needed to also take care of the emotional well-being of his family in order for them to be completely happy. I loved Kudo's character. He was wise beyond his years and tried his best to get King to see the error of his ways. Messiah came across as shady from the very beginning to me and Harmony was too caught up in her own emotional turmoil to have a clear vision of the type of person she was dealing with. Overall this was a good read and I plan to read part 2 to see how this saga will continue to unfold.
Okay I will admit it took me forever to get into this book. I wanted to give up but something told me to keep going. That Messiah is one sneaky devil ! I didn't even see that coming. I feel bad for Harmony but at the same time she should've stuck it out with her faithful husband. Idk how she'll make it out of this situation but poor King has to be hurt. I'm ready to see what part 2 will bring.
Let me start by saying that I gave this book 3 stars because I'm a little confused. This is a bomb read no doubt, however the description said Harmony found herself falling for Malachi, not Messiah. Maybe it's a misprint, but I hope Messiah is a nightmare that Harmony has had and that Malachi will be in book 2.
Loved the Characters and the flow was liquid can't believed that Messiah was Hiv positive I think that thot was lieing Damn Harmony how you got busted I can't believe that sugar Now King need to be on point cause his behavior is what caused this reaction... Mommy sleeping with the enemy omg drama. Drama Drama great read
This book was something else. I truly enjoyed this book. This is my first read by this Author but it will not be my last. She did an amazing job with book. I nave recommend it to all my family and friends
When Harmony and Kings marriage hit a rough spot she took matters into her own hands and had an affair. Like the saying goes what is done in the dark will come to in the light. Now to wait on part 2 to find out what happens now that King knows
