Book 3 in the thrilling urban fantasy series from internationally bestselling author S.T. Bende! Fans of fierce heroines, fairytale romance, Norse mythology and dragons rave about this bestselling saga about the gods . . . and the mortals they fight to protect. Become what you believe. Elsa Fredriksen knows there’s a thin line between love and fear. As High Healer, she rights the wrongs committed by those who choose the darkness. But even Asgard’s secret weapon can’t undo every injury—especially when her fate is completely entwined with the god she’s trying to save. Elsa’s in love with the Norse God of Justice. But Forse’s heart is ruled by fear—fear that the past will repeat itself; fear that opening his heart will compromise his ability to do his job; fear that he’ll hurt the one girl he desperately wants to protect. Again. When Elsa faces off against the very monster she once swore to protect, her survival depends on a power she isn’t sure she can control. And when Forse’s worst nightmare unfolds in front of him, Elsa has to decide whether it’s more important to hold the realms in perfekt balance . . . or hold onto the guy she can’t imagine existing without.
Before finding domestic bliss in suburbia, S.T. Bende lived in Manhattan Beach (where she became overly fond of Peet’s Coffee) and studied Shakespeare in Europe… where she became overly fond of McVitie's cookies.
Her Scandinavian heritage and a very patient Norwegian teacher inspired her YA Norse fantasy series' (Viking Academy, Ære Saga, Elsker Saga, and Alfheim Academy). And her deep love of a galaxy far, far away led to her writing children's books for the Star Wars franchise. As an experienced IP writer, she's written multiple books published by Disney-Lucasfilm Press and its licensees, and looks to expand into additional beloved IP projects.
When she's not creating stories, S.T. dreams of skiing on Jotunheim and Hoth.
I have decided that S.T. stands for Super Terrific and that the author is secretly the scribe for Norse goddess of love Freya, because she makes me fall in love with her strong and quirky characters, her visualization of various realms, her can't-put-the-book-down action, and her precise-and-eloquently-composed writing style. Most of all I love how she depicts love! In this book, I mean this in the sense that the romance between god of Justice, Forse, and High Healer, Elsa, is too cute. The dance between hesitation and moments of intense interest made me want to lock them both in a tower til they just accepted their Happily Ever After already! Because boy do they deserve it after the physical and mental turmoil they go through in the fast-paced adventure in this book with dark realms, poison, kidnapping, fighting, and facing those who'd betrayed them. I also mean love in the sense that the characters themselves have so much love and compassion for others, I am both humbled and inspired. Reading through Elsa's eyes gives an in depth view into how the use of energy and spirits to heal, support, and empower her friends and family. She even sees the good in her enemies. It is clear ST Bende did a lot of research to accurately depict Elsa's holistic and spiritual world, because I learned a lot and felt like I grew as a person; I highlighted several quotes as reminders and motivators to be a more positive, peaceful, content, and generous person. Forse is also a force to be reckoned with when he's protecting those he loves, but his is through action and swoon-worthy heroic defense that Perfektly Balances with Elsa. And let me just say that if that optimism, triumph and romance doesn't get you smiling like a goober, the quirk and humor of various characters in this Norse crew will. Another outstanding YA adventure through Norse mythology in the Aere saga. I cannot wait to see if the next one can trump this one.
I'm starting to sense a theme for the Aere series, at least when I comes to the relationship of the main couple. The women are always openly, completely enamored of the male love interest, while the male is stubbornly trying to keep the female he's secretly infatuated with safe by keeping her at a distance and denying his feelings for her. Did I about sum it up? I think I did. Did it make me love this book any less than its predecessors? Absolutely NOT.
Elsa is by far the sunniest, most kind-hearted being I've met yet in all of Bende's books. She is a truly awe-inspiring soul. She sheds light where there seems only darkness. She brings love where others find only hate. She is a vision. I think I have a serious woman-crush going on for this lovely woman.
What was supposed to be a simple hostage exchange turned into a fight to survive. It's all Elsa can do to stay true to her lightness, while also trying to protect those she loves and attempting to save the girl who would see her and her family dead.
On top of that, Ragnarok seems imminent. The signs are presenting themselves, and everyone is feeling the foreboding of their Days' End. But it's not supposed to come for centuries more. Isn't it?
For more on the Norse Crew and their path to Ragnarok, pick up this book and sink your teeth into another amazing journey, told from the POV of our darling High Healer. You won't regret the read!
Omg what can I say but I loved this book. I thiught that when an author does another book in the same sequence they generally go downhill but not this book. The author concentrates on the relationship between the two characters and shows a sensitive and strong side in both. Else and forse are great characters and so suited for each other. Elsa shows that even in difficult situations where people can see only darkness in people there is always a light, forse shows why he has tried to hide his feelings, however realises hat elsa is for him and Ensures that he protects her at all times. There is a twist at the end which i have to say I suspected, but can't wait to read the next book. This author is amazing and her books are easy to read and she gets you to link with the characters and you root for them against all odds.
I received a copy of this story for an honest review, A real page turner ,Couldn't put it down , As Perfekt as the title. ,S t Bende has a way of writing that makes you feel the pain physical, and emotional. You root for the victory. You wince with the hurt that come with battle , and heart ach .She combines epic battle stories , with the even more epic love stories. You'll love to read. I enjoyed this book, and have followed her series thus far, what a winner this book is. I recommend it and her complete Perfekt series ..... It shows the spirit of a group, that are destine to show you true , loyalty, love, and friendship ,and family , can be pushed beyond heartbreak and still hold fast. Never give up .
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loved this book! I love Elsa and her caring heart. She is underestimated by many because she is so kind and caring, but when push comes to shove she is no lightweight! She has her own gifts and uses them.
I also really enjoyed the interaction with the characters from the prior books in the series. I love Tyr, Mia, Brynn and Henrik and how they all truly care about each other and protect each other.
This series is phenomenal and I highly recommend this read! I read the entire book in one sitting. :-) I recommend starting with book one, Perfekt Order, if you are just beginning this series. Happy reading!
Perfekt Balance is awesome. S.t. Bende is a fabulous author who makes us fall in love with all her characters. In this one the group consisting of Elsa, Forse, Tyr and Brynn go to the dark Realm of Svartalfheim the home of the Dark Elves to retrieve Forse's ex Runa who is wanted for high treason. Even though Runa is the enemy you cant help but feel sorry for her because of her past. we finally get to see one of our favorite couples get together in this one Elsa and Forse, and Elsa also shows that she wont be pushed around. There is action and romance and adventure in this one like the others, and a shocking revelation. That ending had me crying it was so sweet. I really cant wait for the next book.
Absolutely amazing. The words flowed smoothly. I was totally intrigued to know what was going to happen next. I honestly couldn't believe I had read so much so quickly. I love Elsa and everything she represents! She is truly a beautiful character!! She comes into both of her roles beautifully! The fact that she still cared and have hope after everything she went through showed you how strong she truly was. Her and Forse are perfekt for each other! I'm so grateful to have been able to read another amazing book by such a wonderful author and I look forward to seeing what adventures our heroes have yet to come
Perfekt Balance by S.T. Bende is the third book in the AERE Saga. This book follows Forse (Norse god of Justice) and Elsa (Tyr's sister and a healer). These two have issues due to some past relationships but are very sweet together and their love for each other comes thru. Characters from the prior books show up in here including Tyr, Brynne, Henrik, and Mia. The action scenes that the author writes in this book are vivid and make you feel like you are the character and going thru his or her issues.
This book has Violence and Language along with a little sexuality
Another great story in the Aere Saga by S.T. Bende. This is the third book in this series and is about Elsa and Forse. In this story we get to see that Elsa is not only sweet and loving but can also be fierce when she has to fight for the people she loves. There is a lot of action in this book and some moments where I held my breath waiting to see what was coming next. S.T. Bende outdid herself on this book. I can't wait for the next one to come out.
Perfekt Balance is the 3rd book in the Aere Saga by St Bende. And like the previous 2 books it was a very good story where we follow Elsa and Forse's journey. I couldn't wait to read about them since the beginning of the story and I am so happy to finally find out why it took them so long to get together. I couldn't put the book down. So much adventure, mysteries, friendship and love!
Elsa wow this is the girl I wanna grow up to be She's smart courageous level headed and madly in love The story grips you , it will have you almost screaming at the book There was several twist I didn't see coming And a few bits I was glad happened The ending is just pure amazing loved it . The writing in seamless it flowed like a powers source Well done s.t.bende Great book
Following Elsa and Forse thru the realms on a stop-your-heart adventure, with the God of War and a certain Valkaryie in tow. S.T. Bende puts it out of the park again. A great read with lots of action and oodles of romance. The bad guys are really bad and the good guys are really good. A tough book to put down and well worth the time spent reading it.
This is such a fun series, full of Norse mythology, friendship, adventure, danger, and sweet romance. 'Perfekt Balance' is the third book in the Aere Saga, finally featuring Tyr's sister, Elsa, and the hot god of Justice, Forse. It was so great to finally dive into their story.
Elsa is such a sweetie, you can't help but love her. Her heart is so good, there's a reason she's a high healer. In fact, she's so great that I was quite frustrated with Forse for being so blind and stubborn by friend-zoning her. It was about time we got to the bottom of whatever was going on inside him so he could get his head out of whatever crevice it was hiding in. Though honestly, I wanted Elsa to give him more of a push. Her patience was never-ending. I guess Forse needed it. But I wanted her to goddess up and give him a bit of a kick in the right direction. Thankfully, her patience paid off.
Forse is the god of Justice for a reason. He's a genuinely good guy, plus he's super hot, and treats Elsa with the utmost care. Once he gets past his issues, he's a force to be reckoned with. But Forse was such a great guy, so I fully understand why Elsa was in love with him forever. Though, on a side note, during the storyline we meet one of Forse's exes. Honestly, I never really got why Forse and Rena were together. I was a bit confused because the match didn't make sense, but this line of thinking seemed to be glossed over as just Forse being a nice guy. It felt like Forse and Elsa should have always been the perfekt match.
One great thing about this story was watching Elsa come into so much more of her powers. She was already well accomplished in healing, but there was so much more she needed to tap into. She really had to figure out who she was practically on her own, and that was refreshing to see how strong her character was. She went against the violent grain and was able to use her strengths in a peaceful yet forceful fashion. I really liked that about her.
The action of the story was certainly intense. Honestly, it was nearly non-stop. There was hardly time to catch my breath. While there always seem to be forces of evil fighting against our heroes, this storyline had a bit of a twist on the usual good/bad power struggle. I thought this was a nice change, especially taking Elsa's character into account. Plus, there were a few really great twists in there, amping up my curiosity for future books.
I loved seeing the other characters we've gotten to know and love. I did, however, want more of everyone else. We spend a lot of time with Elsa, and I found myself missing evryone else when the gaps got too long. But it was definitely great seeing Tyr and Elsa's relationship, their insights into each other, and the great bond they shared. There were some really funny scenes between Tyr, Forse, and Elsa. I would catch myself grinning like a fool.
The ending was super, duper sweet. But I wanted more in the end betweeen Forse and Elsa. More time, that is. More pages and chapters of just them happy together. Don't get me wrong. What did happen between them was perfekt. I just wanted some more time with them before it ended. So much other friend-zoning and action happened during the story that I wanted the sweetness in the end to last a bit longer.
This is a fantastic series. I can't wait for the next story. I have my heart set on what I want to happen. Let's see if I'm right, or if I'm even in the ballpark...
If you've read the Ære Saga thus far, you have become acquainted with Asgard's version of the Scooby gang and you've caught on to the theme of each book focusing on one couple. Perfekt Balance is Elsa's story, and center's on her love for Forse, her role as Asgard's High Healer, and her struggle as Unifier—a role which she was thrust into unexpectedly. When an old enemy returns, she is recruited for a mission involving her brother Tyr, his bodyguard Brynn, and the god of Justice, Forse, who just happens to be the love of Elsa's life. The mission of course goes haywire and the entirety of the story is Elsa trying to rescue herself from her captor while ensuring the safety of those she loves, from a very far distance.
Elsa is another wonderful Bende heroine; she is smart, kind, plucky, and determined. Her powers as a healer give her unique talents that allow her to help her friends . . . and result in some really funny scenes.
Elsa sees only the goodness in others, despite whatever horrors they might have wrought. She is patient, as I imagine she must be since the god of War is her brother and the god of Justice holds her heart. And she firmly believes that "a kind heart can brighten even the darkest realm," a line that brought me to tears when I was reading the book.
And let's not forget Justice, the god that Elsa loves. What is it with these Asgardian gods and their stubbornness/complete blindness to what is right in front of them? Forse is quiet and contemplative, perfect qualities for a god of War who has to consider all sides of a story before making a ruling. But man, is he a doofus when it comes to Elsa! There were some wonderful scenes with the two of them, from her waking up with him on the couch after accidentally falling asleep, to the two of them mooning for one another while Elsa was inside Tyr's head (hysterical!), to that final chapter . . . which I won't spoil. Let's just say, it brought tears to my eyes.
I know for a fact that S.T. Bende did an extensive amount of research for this book and I was, as usual, impressed by her commitment to honor that which she writes about. Her writing is just so smart. She is obviously a naturally talented writer.
Perfekt Balance is another triumph for S.T. Bende, filled with breathtaking, ethereal imagery; a ton of action (including some well-written fight scenes); and, most of all, love. It's obvious that S.T. Bende's life overflows with love, which she in turn pours into everything she writes. These characters have become near and dear to me, and I can't wait for Perfekt Match (book four)!
*****The author provided a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.*****
Five stars. After reading the first two Aere books, I was a little skeptical going into Perfekt Balance for a couple of reasons: 1) Perfekt Order and Perfekt Control were so fun to read that I worried Bende might not be able to improve on a good thing, and 2) Elsa and Forse seemed nice enough, but for the most part, they were just kind of … nondescript. Turns out my skepticism was completely unwarranted. Perfekt Balance featured the same non-stop action as the first two books and really allowed Elsa and Forse to shine.
Plot: Tyr, Brynn and Forse are tasked with making a trade for Runa, who is not only Forse’s ex-girlfriend, but also played a role in the death of Tyr’s and Elsa’s parents. Elsa goes with them in hopes that her Unifier skills will help the situation to play out peacefully.
Characters: Both Elsa and Forse did a 180 in Perfekt Balance. Elsa, who seemed meek and mild before, showed just how smart, strong and determined she could be. She refused to be a victim and did everything she could to keep her friends and Asgard safe. Forse was also a force to be reckoned with. In addition to being an amazing warrior, he was supportive, protective and passionate. Bende is definitely making it harder and harder to choose a favorite couple.
Mia, Tyr, Brynn and Henrik were also back. It was fun to see how both of those relationships were progressing. It was also great to kind of get in Tyr’s head and see what made him so powerful in battle.
The primary villain in the book is Runa, who – like Fenrir – is a great villain. On one hand, she poses such a huge threat, but on the other, she manages to gain the reader’s empathy because her past was so devastating. On a side note, that past leads to some incredible revelations!
Writing: Perfekt Balance was very easy to read. The story is compelling, the action is non-stop, and the book is very well edited. Bende did such an incredible job of combining mythology and imagery that readers can actually visualize the world she created and feel like they are part of it. There is some cursing (a lot of it in Swedish), a ton of violence, and a smidge of sexual tension, so if the book were a movie, I’d probably rate it PG-13.
Bottom Line: Perfekt Balance was amazing. It’s got something for everyone … action, drama, camaraderie, humor, romance…. The list goes on and on. And because of its surprise ending, It may even be a tiny bit sweeter than the previous books. This is a phenomenal series, and I can’t wait for the next book, Perfekt Match. Sadly, it’s not due out until 2017.
Perfekt Balance is the third book in S.t. Bende's Aere saga series. This story follows Elsa as the main character, who is Tyr's sister and whom we first met in Perfekt Order. As Elsa is the current Unifier for Asgard, a job she hardly knows anything about, she is taken along on a mission with Tyr, Brynn and Forse to the dark elf realm of Svartalfheim. Forse is not happy about Elsa being bought along as, if you've read the rest of the series, we all know that there are some deep hidden feelings between the pair of them. I really loved this book and like all of S.t. Bende's books it's incredibly well written. I'm not quite sure how S.t. does it, but just when you think she can't top her last book, she does. The depths of characters and the world building she creates is just something else, she draws me so deeply into her worlds that I feel like I'm there and forget that really I'm just back in grey, rainy London on Midgard. I love how we still get to see all the characters from the other books and the relationships she has between them all. I have to admit that there were certain parts with the interaction between Tyr, Elsa & Forse that had me laughing out loud. This book actually had me on the edge of my seat a bit more than the previous two, there were also some parts that touched my heart more than the other two did. I don't have a favourite book from S.t. Bende's library cos I really do think all of her books are as awesome as the other, however this one may be a very close top read of her books. I loved it.
**********I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review**********
What can I say?? THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!!!!
I connected to this book on a personal level because of Elsa. She has a kind heart, a healer, someone you think is the most caring person alove, but man when push comes to shove, she can be deadly. Elsa is the sister of Tyr and Forse is the God of Justice (I loved him), they both have their ups and downs but in the end I couldn’t get enough of them. Their story has become one of my top favorites out of the series. Forse has become my top favorite in the series but as my other reviews has said, Ull has my heart, but S.T. Bende is really testing me on who I love the most.
S.T. Bendes books are always rated a 5 star with me because you can tell she does research for every book but this one in particular hit a home run! You connected with Elsa on another level and Forse, sexy god that he is, is powerful, scary and don’t mess with his woman. The battles are always epic and the romance is always leaving you wanting more. (Classis S.T. Bende) I was smiling and laughing through the whole book. You will fall in love with her books all over again and be demanding for more. I don’t want to put too much in my review or I’m afraid I’ll be talking about spoilers.
I read this book in one sitting and now I want to go re-read all the books again! Happy Reading!
ST Bende has created an amazing world of Asgardian gods and goddesses where all you want to do is curl up on the couch with a really good glass of wine and loose yourself in their wonderful adventures. Perfekt Balance is just that, it is the perfect balance between adventure, finding love, a spiritual journey, and family. I think to date this is by far my favorite book in the series because Elsa and Forse, as well as other characters in the book, are forced to look inward on a spiritual journey of discovery. But what I love most about this book and the series as a whole is that ST Bende is building an amazing family that are there to support one another in times of need. This family is funny, witty, loving, and above all loyal to a fault.
Elsa and Forse are and amazing couple that complement each other perfectly and I simply could not get enough of them. For me the ending felt a tad rushed and for that simple reason I give this book 4 and 1/2 stars, this is most likely, my just wanting more of such a good story. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Another Perfekt story! I loved reading more of Elsa and Forse; the whole team. Ragnarok is on it's way to the realms and they must all prepare for it. Evil is making plans to bring it about in their favor and removing Elsa and Tyr would tip the battle in their favor. Forse continues to hide his true feelings for Elsa, no matter how she tries to get him to open up.

Perfekt Balance is a breathtakingly beautiful and emotionally powerful work of art as stunning and unique as a snowflake this story filled my heart with such joy! I was up all night with this amazing book couldn't put it down and never wanted it to end! Wickedly funny full of sweet romance mystery suspense epic battles and thrilling adventure.. S.T. Bende's writing makes U feel like UR living the story with her characters!
Elsa & Forse are simply to die for they complete each other and have a soul deep all consuming love Team Forsa ForEvah!!!
Elsa is a delicate beauty with a fierce and loving heart who believes everyone has some light inside of them! She fights for the God she's crazy about and shows him that love is stronger than fear and the most powerful force in all the realms!
Forse will make U want to be brought to Justice. hehe ;) He's a Tall dark N brooding yet gentle warrior with a devilish sense of humor. He's very protective of Elsa the Healer of his heart!!!
Totally loved every scene with Tyr Mia Brynn & Henrik. I Need more of this Crazy Awesome Norse Crew they are so much fun! The ending was Perfect and leaves U wanting MORE!
Can't wait to fall in love with all of S.T. Bende's magical stories to come!!!
OMG - this is my favorite of the Aere Saga thus far! I absolutely loved getting to know Elsa and, without posting a spoiler, getting to know characters both "within" and outside of everyone. I found myself wishing that we all could have her powers of unification. What a much clearer world it would be.
It was fascinating the way that S.T. Bende was able set up multiple types of communication so that, even when the main character, Elsa, was separated from all our other favorite characters, we still got a fabulous third person perspective on all the action. Bravo for a fresh take on a viewpoint! So many wonderful twists and turns in this book.
My only negative would be that my vision in my head of what Elsa looks like does not match the photo on the cover at all. She's a force (Forse LOL) of nature, strong, smart, resourceful, empathetic, friendly. I don't see that in the photo. But maybe one can't portray all that in a single image. No stars docked - just a comment.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for a fair review. My review - if you have read the prior two books to set the scene, absolutely snatch up this book and hopefully you find that Elsa is now your favorite female character.
S.T. Bende gave us another outstanding story in the book, Perfekt Balance, Aere Saga Book 3. In this story we learn more about the high-healer of Asgard, Elsa and her long time crush the God of Justice – Forse. As their story unfolds we experience, dangerous adventure, nail-biting fights, heartbreaking torture, healings, and much more. I was on my seat the whole book. Elsa is full of light and love and is so kind hearted. In her story she grows so much and as a reader you feel yourself growing alongside of her. Forse is everything you would picture the God of Justice to be but has some surprising struggles he needs to work though. My heart was breaking at the guilt he was feeling on something he really wasn’t involved in. I enjoyed the growth of Elsa and Forse relationship and how much they had to go through to become stronger as individuals and together. I was touch with the feelings of family and how much it means to these characters and what their definition of a family is . Family and its love is such a strong bond not only in stories but in our lives. It’s something to treasure always. I highly recommend Perfekt Balance by S.T. Bende.
ST Bende has out done herself yet again with another book in this amazing series. The way she writes these characters is simply brilliant. Her love for Norse Mythology and her description of the different realms along with the chemistry between the strong, feisty, sexy characters means you simply cannot put this book down.
This part of the series features Forse the God of Justice and Elsa a High Healer and God of War's sister. It's been obvious throughout the other 3 books there is something between these 2 but as usual the men despite being Gods are clueless when it comes to romance and waste years watching from a distance instead of embracing what's in front of them.
Each book gets better and better and the end is great where it is starting to lean into the Elsker Series featuring Ull as these books are set before them.
Can't wait for the next one to read more about Freya the Goddess of Love
Oh, wow... This really is the best book of S.T. Bende I’ve ever read. Excellent, I’m really impressed. Elsa and Forse were great characters, have loving hearts and strong minds. I especially adore Elsa. She’s the kind of heroine I love in a book. She’s such a good person with deep thought. Her best trait (for me) was her capacity to see a good side in everything and everyone. It reminds me of how often we judge people without knowing the reasons behind their action. Four thumbs up for S.T. Bende for creating such a great character as Elsa. Her interaction and relationship with Forse was also cute. I love it when I feel invested in the characters, and this book surely is. Perfekt Balance was a very easy read that has depth in it. I would strongly recommend this book to any book lovers because it really is worth your time. I received a free book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated nor required to give good review.
I have loved everything S.t. has written. She never ceases to amaze me and always leaves me in awe of her imagination. She melts my heart everytime for those of us who still believe in good old fashioned romance, Norse style too! I absolutely loved Elsa and Forse! Elsa is the High Healer and until she trains Mia, she's also Interim Unifier. Except Elsa doesn't know how she's going to train Mia when she doesn't have the hang of it herself. Forse, God of Justice, has a sweet spot for Elsa, as she does for him, but something is always causing him to put on the brakes. Could it have something to do with his dangerous ex girlfriend, Runa, who is on the loose? Its up to Tyr, Brynn, Elsa and Force to capture her and bring her in. This is a very tricky and dangerous mission for everyone, especially when Elsa is taken hostage.
I absolutely adore S.T Bende !! I have read all of her books most recently..... This little Gem. This Perfekt Balance is amazing. from the First word to the last this book takes you into a world, one that you can not put down and one that you dont want to leave. Elsa is one strong women who is not to be taken for weak.. She jumps in with her whole heart and learns what she needs along the way. Forse, is amazing and strong. I loved the fact that my favorite Characters are in this story as well .. Jeg Elsker Deg Hjartat.. S.T Bende does it once again. .. This is Definitely going to be a re read for me over and over again... and did I tell you I read this book in one sitting definitely, a page turner action packed... Must read ..... Love love loved it
Another excellent read from one of my favorite authors. New characters and, of course, a new romance as well. In book 3 of the AEre Saga, Perfekt Balance, we find Tyr's sister Elsa, the High Healer, and the Norse God of Justice, Forse, in a relationship that runs right on the edge of a romance while not admitting their feelings for each other. It's not until Elsa's life is jeopardize that our favorite God of Justice realizes how much time he has wasted by not confessing to her just how he feels for her.
Lots of action, hidden romance and characters the reader will love and/or hate. Plus, a twist that gives no hint of until later in the story. ST Bende has created another great read based on her Norse God series. A must read!
Engaging, emotional, powerful. The series just keeps getting better. I love that each book is through a different character perspective. I wanted to get to know Elsa after hearing a little of her story in the first books. I loved how her character is sweet and a little unsure of herself confidence at the beginning but things change for the better. I can certainly relate to that. The battles of body, mind, and spirit were engaging and emotional and I hated to put the book down. And who doesn't love a good plot twist and surprises :). OMG I was practically jumping up and down in my chair while I was reading saying to myself I know what the secret is and then I find out I really didn't. lol. Great read and I can't wait for more.
*screams like a little girl* why it's it so good ugh this book was Perfekt. Forse finally stopped being a wuss and claimed Elsa though I didn't expect that ending sequence but good job nonetheless. psychotic ex much? but welp stuff happens and the relationship between Runa and Tyr Mmhhhmm tone it down lady hahaha. Elsa kicked some ass though she was more like guilt tripping her? Off to our dear daddy issues poster guy Hymir I just gotta say one thing........ WHY WONT YOU DIE ALREADY JEEZ. He's only appeared once physically and damn I just hate him not even Elfie in Elsker got so much hate from me only Sebastian from The Mortal Instruments got so much hate. So yeah I'm out and I need more *cries*
