Golden Age Horror & SuspenseAce Comics was the banner under which pulp magazine publisher Aaron A. Wyn and his wife Rose Wyn produced comic books between 1940 and the end of 1956. The Wyns had been publishing pulp fiction under the Periodical House and Magazine Publishers names since 1928. Like many comic book publishers of the day, Ace Comics earlier series included costumed superheroes, although as trends in the comic book market changed by the 1950s the focus shifted more to other genres, such as crime, horror, romance, and later, Westerns. The Beyond started out as Challenge of the Unknown #6 which was to be Ace Comics first horror comic, and it would be fair to treat this like a The Beyond #0. Challenge of the Unknown #7 was renamed to The Beyond #1."Weird, Spooky, Supernatural Stories"...So warned by every cover page of The Beyond...One of the horror comics that gained notoriety in the Golden Age of comics. The comic reprints from are reproduced from actual classic comics, and sometimes reflect the imperfection of books that are decades old

I'm not a big horror fan but I like the classics. This comic, which you can read at comicbooksplus.com, has it all; vampires, Frankenstein, vengeful ghosts from Scotland and New Orleans. AND, who wouldn't want to read at tale titled "High Priestess of the Snake People!?"
