Rate this book
We’re living in very exciting times, when many Bible prophecies are being (or are about to be) fulfilled. Are we approaching the end of the world? And if we are, how can we prepare for it? Fortunately, we don’t need to know all of the intricate details, but one thing is of paramount importance as we enter the prophesied day of the Our hearts must be clean and pure. As we eagerly await the return of our Lord, we can trust in his promise that the pure in heart shall see God, and we know that every passing day brings us closer to this wonderful reality. Preparing for the End of the World takes a close look at what it means to have a clean heart, and also digs deep into biblical prophecy in order to help us understand what is soon going to be our new reality. This picture is not dark or bleak, but bright – for those who understand what it means to genuinely live for the Lord.

The authors interception of the end

Whereby I may not agree with his view of denying a rapture of the Church. I found his writings and thoughts hard to follow, having little or no Grace in them but rather fear, judgements, and self-works.

"The End" is a commentary on 1st and 2nd Thessalonians with some eschatology included. Mr. Stendal apparently buys into John Hagee's "blood moons" scenario.

"I feel in my spirit that these dates and numbers, along with all of the unusual signs in the heavens (blood moons, eclipses, and constellations), are very significant; I believe that they signal that we are at or near the end of this age (the seventieth Jubilee comes at the end of approximately fifteen hundred years of law and two thousand years of grace)."

Stendal, Russell M.. Preparing for the End of the World: Writings from the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians Regarding the End Times (p. 42). Aneko Press. Kindle Edition.

However, Mr. Stendal does not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture! Instead he thinks the wicked will be taken in judgement.
