A short introduction!

This was a short prequel for a new series which will be released later. Spencer is the owner of "Purgatory", a popular BDSM club and is feeling bored, restless and disinterested in most of the woman he has been meeting at the club. Bayleigh is a student close to graduating from college and is dragged to the club by her persistent flat mate eager for a night of fun and games at the club. She was an innocent among the wicked and Spencer knew he had to know more about this angel. This story ended too soon, the characters did not have time to develop fully and the reader is left with the question will they form a relationship or not.

I can't lie, the cover drew me in. I loved the cover art and was curious on what the book was about. Previously published in the Mouth: A Steamy Anthology, it was sure to be a hot read.

It was. I have to say, it left me wanting more from Bayleigh and Spencer. I can't wait to read more about these strangers turned lovers. They had chemistry to set the whole place afire. Looking forward to continuing the story.

Angel: An Almost Heaven Novella by M.C. Cerny. Just finished this prequel and I can hardly wait to get my hands on the rest of this story. These characters are fantastic, can’t wait to see how things progress with them. This is definitely the start of something really good. Quick and dirty short read but a really good one.

Bayleigh’s roommate Jodie kept nagging her to go out she didn’t want to but Jodie wouldn’t stop until Bayleigh agreed to go out with her so they took off and went to Purgatory. Spencer was standing on the upper balcony of his club Purgatory his club is a dance and BDSM club, Spencer spots two women walking in a red head that doesn’t do anything for him but the other one looks like an angel so he gets his second in command to keep an eye out on them. Bayleigh dances with a guy but he’s getting too handsy so she makes an excuse and walks off to the ladies room, Spencer has lost sight of the blonde so he gets his second to look for her but he can’t find her and Spencer’s not happy about that at all. That’s all I’m going to give you guys after all this is a short story and I don’t want to give too much away. It’s a fantastic novella and I highly recommend this book.

Prequel to a new series and/or off-shoot of the Revenge & Legacy series???
My review is for the book ANGEL by M.C. Cerny but Goodreads keeps taking me to this book. Is it the same one?
After having read QUEEN, part of the Revenge & Legacy series also written by Ms. Cerny, I just had to read this story. They alluded to Bayleigh being kidnapped in Mexico which is where Elizabeth had sent her to get away from Spencer. I believe this is a prequel to a future series involving a sweet, over-worked student and an older, very successful BDSM Club owner. Their attraction is off-the-charts. This is a short story or novella length book which kind of leaves you wondering what would happen next. I can’t wait…

This is an interesting short story that doesn’t exactly end on a cliffhanger but more like a pause and I am looking forward to reading the next book. It only takes about an hour to read this so not much time invested by the reader. The plot is interesting, and the characters are slowly being described as more and more about them comes to light. The author does use lovely descriptive writing that allowed me to easily visualize the events. A really nice short read. While I loved Bayleigh and Spencer as well as the build up, part of me struggled with it being unbelievable. I don't want to put spoilers in here but even though Bayleigh is rescued, I just have a problem believing someone would be willing to just roll over and "ok" to what someone else wants in those circumstances. Other than that, it was definitely a hotter read towards the end and I enjoyed it.

This is the 3rd book I've read written by M.C. Cerny; she has done an great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Just a quick little read without much build up to the sex and then the cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more. Bayleigh is a sweet little innocent woman who is totally focused on getting her degree. Her roommate convinces her to go out to a new hot nightclub. Spencer is the owner and is smitten with Bayleigh at first sight. Can't say more without giving too much away. Read it for yourself. Won't take long! I enjoyed it.

It is now a short story on its own and that is how I encountered it. This story is about Bayleigh and Spencer. Bayleigh is a college student in her last semester just wanting to graduate. Spencer owns a club called Purgatory, which is an exclusive BDSM club. But Bayleigh gives in to her roommate and decides to go have some fun for one night before getting back to the grind of studying. Spencer sees Bayleigh and her roommate who are vastly different and as such make a striking pair. He is immediately interested in Bayleigh but decides to watch from his office above the club and wait for a bit. When Bayleigh vanishes, Spencer figures out she has went out the back door, which locks and leaves her in a bad situation. Spencer comes to her rescue and saves her from the two guys who are attacking her. Spencer takes her back to his apartment to make sure she is okay and to help recover from the attack. That is when things get really hot. I will leave it to you to read the rest.



This book is good. It has a good story and fast character development for a short story. Of course there is the warning that this book is for mature readers, 18+ due to the sexual situations in the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good steamy story. I tend to want more time to get attached to my characters so I hope to see more so I can see if I like these characters as much as my initial impression gave me. If you only have a short time to read this would be a great story!

MC Cerny delivers again in this strangers to lovers story. Bayleigh is a completely focused college student, mind set on her goals until her roommate convinces her to go out to a club one night.
Spencer is the hot owner of Purgatory. He is all business until he sees her.
MC Cerny has a wonderful way of drawing you into this story. She makes you WANT to be in Purgatory. The heat between these two is scorching. I can't wait to see how the rest of their story unfolds. It's a new side of MC Cerny that is completely awesome!

There's just enough in this short novella to tease you to want more. I'm certainly looking forward to the rest of Spencer March and Bayleigh's story. The possibilities are eluded to but yet uncertain as to what path their future may travel. This novella gives you a glimpse at Spencer's sexual tastes and the innocence of Bayleigh.

What I thought was going to be a bit of a story ended up being more like a prologue of bigger things to come. There was just enough of a build-up of the plot as well as the character development to draw me in and make me want more. I don’t like that it ended so quickly and abruptly, however, I am excited that there will likely be more to follow in this series! I loved it!
