Ella Fonyakova

After graduating from Leningrad University, she worked in Siberia as a journalist for many years. The first book - the story of the Leningrad blockade "The Bread of That Winter", largely autobiographical - was first published in Novosibirsk, then repeatedly reprinted, translated into several languages (English, German, Bulgarian, Estonian, Farsi).
The story "Contiguity" (about the life of an international - Russian-Latvian - Leningrad family) was awarded the Gogol Prize at the St. Petersburg Literary Festival (2005).
Plays were staged on theater stages and on radio.
In recent years, she wrote and published poetry (mostly free - vers libre).
Four poetry collections have been published.

Совсем неплохая детская книга со специфической оптикой про то, что Ленинград - город-герой, но повторить не хочется.
