Have you ever loved someone so much, so strongly, that the mere thought of losing them sucks the air from your lungs, leaving you gasping in desperation for an ounce of that love that once bathed you from within to return? That's Ice and Angel's love. The kind of love that consumes their whole beings. The kind of love that strengthens their heart, soul, and mind, only to weaken when they're apart. The strength of their love only grows with immense power when they're together that when they're separated, a tether holds them to each other, and no matter where they are, no matter the dangers they face, that tether always reconnects them until they're whole once again. Ice holds Angel's heart as Angel cradles Ice's, both wielding the power to crush and shatter one another.

Reading this entire series had me feeling like I was on the precipice of a foreboding, yet anticipated truth. I fell in love with Ice & Angel's love story, but I was constantly preparing myself for a devastating blow to come out of nowhere even if I knew it was already coming. Living in Ice's world, you had no choice but to prepare for the unknown and possibly the fatal. I hated it! And I loved it! So much angst, but not from the story itself, but from the characters. Or, I should say, character. Ice was the opposite of anything drama, she preferred solitude, peace, quiet, but her past lifestyle and life in the Bog prevented her from having that peace she sought out. Ice also thrived on the fast and furious lifestyle, she was made for it, as Angel pointed out. Personally, I wouldn't survive loving a woman like Ice because I'd die of a broken heart if something were to happen to her or if she upped and left like she threatened many times over to Angel. It took strength deep inside for Angel to love a woman like Ice, in my opinion. Ice, though, made it easy to love her without having to try. And that's why it was so dangerous to fall for Ice.

Tumultuous, insanely passionate love story aside, this was a kickass, wicked ride! Beck had an immense talent for stringing words together. I sensed poetry throughout, and I don't like poetry, but she drew me in and wrapped me up in a cashmere surrounded by a raw edginess where I found myself breathless in her prose. She had me on the edge of my seat so many times in this book and all throughout the entire series. To be able to enthrall me in an action scene then turn my loins to mush as my heart pitter-pattered rhythmically to the beat of the passion on the pages is quite a feat, and she succeeded. This series will be one I will visit time and time again.

An awe, spellbinding, hard story wrapped with warmth, passion, and that all consuming love I hold near and dear to my heart.

I can't rave enough about this series, and it's sad to have finally finished it with the absolute certainty that there won't be more coming since the author has passed on. Ice, Angel, Corrine, Donita and the rest of the Amazons will stay up in my list of favorite characters. I've spent the last few weeks with them and since the characters are so fleshed out, I feel like I got to be friends and family with them too. I'll remember them with nostalgia for sure and I'm just glad Ice and Angel got the happy ending they trully deserve.

I have to confess that this series is probably the best uber Xena novel i have ever come across.
Of course like every of such books comes the over described nature of super strength and wit as well as beauty but when I reconsider the thought...such description isn't anymore different from the heterosexual Mills & Boon or Harlequin novels I grew up reading.
This writer did a great job, i mean if you are a lover of lesfic themed superheroine, romance and thrills then you certainly will enjoy this series.

The conclusion to this epic love story was as powerful as the previous installments. I was completely immersed and invested in Angel and Ice's story. Their relationship is so beautifully described and portrayed.

Ice is offered a deal by the prosecution to find and bring in her former boss and betrayer alive in exchange for her freedom. She is not given a choice because Angel's freedom is part and parcel of the deal.

I feel like I've been dragged through bush backwards and I would make this a longer review if I could stop my eyes leaking.

5 Stars! wow I never thought a book in this series would surpass my love for the first book, but I think this book did just that. There was so much action, romance, and moments where I was literally holding my breath because I was so stressed for Ice and Angel.

This series might just be my favorite I have ever read and this book is definitely a book I will be rereading. This was an amazing conclusion to an incredible love story and I just had to sit and digest it after I finished because the book hangover was real.

Really this book is a roller coaster of emotions: from despair, hopelessness and depression to love, triumph, awe and everything in-between. Ice and Angel's last book was definitely an experience. It was also really nice to see some of the characters from the first book, which is still my favourite but only by a very small margin. And I have to say that the ending was truly beautiful and most certainly earned.

A series that I'll never forget.

I’m not going to rate this book. First, it doesn’t work well as a standalone book. Second, its market seems to be juvenile female, which I’m not.
