I'm a big fan of Jeff Adams (and Will Knauss's podcast)- Jeff and Will's Big Gay Fiction podcast so decided I really should read some of Jeff's work and I really glad I did.
I'm not a sports fan and being from the UK know nothing about ice hockey but I've read a few sporty MM romances now. Hey what's not to love - men in uniforms and all that extra angst of coming out to team mates etc.
As I really enjoying seeing a couple's entire journey I dived right in and brought the whole Hat Trick boxset. In the HT series we follow teamates Simon and Alex from high school, colleage and beyond as they become a couple and go on to deal with a number of huge events that take place in their lives. They make a great couple and you can really feel the love they have for each other. The traumatic events (won't include any spoliers) are handled really well. And I really like how Jeff brings out the intimacy and affection between Simon and Alex without having to resort to a sex scene every second paragraph as is the way with some romance novels. The assemble cast of friends and team mates is great. I loved Jackson (oh Jackson sob!), Leo and Matt (have already added their book Make the Right Choice to my kindle) and how sweet were Jacob & Milo and TJ & Bryan (would love to see them get their own stories).

I can definately recomend the Hat Trick series!

One of the single best YA LGBTQ fiction series I have ever read. The writing is beautiful and you fall in love with the characters. I have reread this series at least four times, with many more to come I'm sure!
