Soldier, teacher, author, hobbyist; my past experiences find their way into my books.
I have an imagination with few boundaries. I use that imagination extensively, particularly in my New Frontiers Series.
By contrast, imagination figures in my Darwin's World series but there's also tons of personal experience. When I describe chipping flint, I've done it. I've set traps, made and used ropes, raised horses, spent a lot of time in the deep woods. But the series is really not about survival; that's how it begins, but by the time you reach The Return, it's begun to change to hard SF. I'm currently writing Defending Eden, which is not only hard SF, it has elements of space opera.
The Wizards Series is about wish fulfillment. Who wouldn't want to find buried treasure, move huge objects, fly, and do in bad guys? With side journeys into saving lives and fighting wildfires?
As for my novella, Hands, expect everything from grins to belly laughs. And then there's the stand-alone short story, Ants, which offers a different view of where the New Frontiers Series might have gone.
One work-in-progress, two more in the pipeline, and a new home page: http//jacklknapp.com/home
In other words, I'm nowhere near ready to retire!

Now that the immediate threat of T’s old teachers trying to kill him is done, Knapp spends a novel figuring out how a couple of people with psychic powers can earning a living without the world finding out about their abilities. Over all, it’s a good novel. My favorite “job” was treasure hunting and I’d like to know if the legends that lead them to treasures are actual legends. The challenges of turning finds of gold coins into cash people can spend without drawing the attention of the government fascinated me. (This was necessary in a large part because of T’s obsession with not paying taxes as a sort of payback for the way the government has treated him.) Add in the troubles with earthquakes and this was a good addition to the series. I’ll be interested to see what Knapp does next.

Our psychic duo is studying earthquakes and volcanos this time around. “T” and Ray are making the most of their PSI abilities. They’ve started a small business and continue to help people while earning a unique living. “T” has feelings for Anna Maria and wants a relationship but isn’t sure if Anna Maria feels the same. Join the club, my man, figuring out what’s on a woman’s mind is a lifelong quest. On another psychic note, the precognition talent leads to treasure hunting! Being able to look at a map or walk the grounds and get “a feeling” that something is there might uncover The Lost Treasure of Emperor Maximilian. The plot thickens and the duo is getting a little nervous. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A JLK. SYFY. Novel of Paranormal- ESP Thriller (TWSB. -2)

JLK. has. penned the second novel in the Wizards at Work series, which finds our intrepid heroes up to their same old tricks. Saving people and making money on the side. They are constantly on the move and their ladies are not far behind. This second novel is a continuation of the first and is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

An interesting, if different, second book in the Wizards Series. This one is more about the characters, their development, and the spread and growth of the PSI powers they've gained. Not as much an action adventure as book 1 but a fun read.

Good story!!

This story is a good one, worth the time to read, I enjoyed it. It's a heck of a thing to have all that money and no way to keep it legal. Isn't government help and regulation wonderful? Like anything else, when it's used to help and not hurt citizens.
