Mya James has always been a respectable girl. Believing that her boyfriend will soon propose, she follows him to Colorado and supports him as he finishes graduate school. She is desperate to keep their relationship strong, but finds that her long hours working as an event coordinator are testing their relationship.
When Mya meets her new muscle-bound client, Jude Abbott, she finds it difficult to remain professional. The instant attraction between them creates a tantalizing temptation she has never before experienced. As she begins to questions her relationship with her boyfriend, the reformed bad boy knows exactly what he wants and will stop at nothing to get her.
Now that Mya’s desires have been ignited, will she find that her life is enough to satisfy her?
The book was well written but unfortunately there were a few things which prevented me from enjoying it thoroughly. Firstly, we never got a physical description of Mya. We just know that she has brown eyes, black ringlets and is shorter than Jude. This lack of description made it impossible to visualize her and truly connect. Also the book is about her love story with Jude but it doesn’t really start until 98% of the book, so it feels ridiculously rushed. I know it’s a novella but everything really happens within 2 days and then we jump to a year later. As for Mya herself she was so naive with her head buried in the sand re her boyfriend behavior that is made her look weak. Really a missed opportunity with this book. Ps: the boyfriend got off lightly. It kept everything including the ring and his fiancée wasn’t confronted
The beginning of the book draggggeeedddd on and on but the last few chapters felt RUSHED. The relationship with her trash boyfriend took waaayy to long to end. She basically was in the dark the entire book.
