I received this for my honest review. Another great story that you will love, they have history from their childhood that no one knows how deep it went but when they are thrown together in extreme circumstances how will they react. She is a brilliant defence attorney and he is a wealthy business man accused of rape and insider trading, so will they be able to keep their emotions in check to get the job done or will it be so powerful that it overwhelms them............ can't wait for next part.

This one was a quick read. But the anticipation of Courtroom drama was thrilling. I loved Alisa. Such a strong lady. She completely justifies why she's one of the top defence attorneys. As for Zek, I'm still not sure how much I like him. But poor guy just gets entangled in a situation which he never would have expected could be on the verge of destroying his career and everything that's he's built. The secrets, though.. YESSS. Can't wait to find out what happens next.

This was not a bad 5 part series, but not something I would have bought if it was not offered for free. I realize that I am not the target audience of these books. If it would have been a little less on the romance, and more on the legal and criminal aspects the story might have made a decent crime detective story.

Zek has been accused of rape by an intern and her father was his lawyer and one of the best in the city. He is also under investigation by the SEC for insider trading. The press already immediately pronounced him guilty. He needs the best attorney, someone he can trust. Alisa is ready for the right trial to make her name big as a defense attorney. Zek’s case lands at her new firm just in time for her to accept it. She does not know if she can handle being around Zek after crushing on him in high school.

This book is a definite page turner. Zek and Alisa are avoiding their passion for each other while focusing on the lawyer client relationship. Zek is feeling bleak because his whole life seems to have turned to the worse all at the same time. Ready for the next four parts!

WOW. Talk about hot. From the beginning of this book, I was captivated. That did not change for a second during the entire book. Absolutely loved the Zek and Alisa. He just could not help getting himself into a tad of trouble. Alisa is the one to get him out of trouble, he believes. The fact that they knew each other as kids made Alisa hesitate to help Zek, but she struggled to keep things professional. Their journey will be one not to miss. Seriously loved this book and am intrigued to see where they go from here. Does Zek pay the ultimate price for the decisions he has made? Cannot wait for the next part. It will be sizzling.
