Those who follow me know I love paranormal books but they might not know that I don't like were stories that much. But let me tell you that has changed with this book. Morgan Jane is a favorite of mine but every time I read a book of hers I think OMG this is my fave and this time is no different. I really love the whole set up she has going on here. The story was fantastic. I don't want to give anything away so it hard to write this review. But Fia will find herself in a position and you won't know who she should believe or what path she should take. The ending left me speechless and that is all I will say about it for now! But trust me when I say you have not read a story like this one and you need to read it!! I could see this being a CSI TV series of weres - seriously I am so stoked to see where this could lead

I was given an ARC of 'Twice Bitten' from Morgan Jane Mitchel, in exchange for an honest reveiw.

'Twice Bitten' is my first book that I've read by Morgan, so I went in blind. Unsure with what I was about to read, what type of story I was about to indulge myself in. But there was something about the cover & the blurb that had drawn me in, so in I jumped. 'Twice Bitten' is book 1 in Morgan's new series "Broad Gate Pack", I will say it does end in a small cliffhanger, I hope the next book isn't too far away?? If your a paranormal lover, love the whole shifter/werewolf genre?? then this book is for you. Drawn to the moon & a certain arrogant detective, medical examiner Fia starts her night like she normally would, especially after being called in at the last minute.... But her life takes a dramatic chance that night, but is it for the better??

I'm going to leave it at that, I hate leaving spoilers. I can honestly say, that I want to know what happens next for Fia, her life just seems to get to waid through... who is lying, who is telling the truth. After the ending, slight cliffhanger, it makes you wonder if all that Fia is told was ever the truth.... hence why I NEED to read book 2 of the series.

This book was an amazing read that once you start will have a difficult time putting down. It moves along at a pace which is not too fast nor too slow but the perfect speed for the story. The characters are so well written that you feel as though you know them and you cannot help but love them. The story keeps you interested and turning pages until the end and then you want more, actually you need more. This book is a must read.

This paranormal read grabs your attention right from the beginning. There's lots of secrets that'll be unraveled in this. It'll have you hooked. Fia definitely has some decisions to make and has to find out who she can believe. You'll have to read to find out what happens. This story doesn't disappoint. It's a fantastic read that is a must read.

Dunkan & Fia

Holy smokes I really need book 2. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm kinda tired and at Dunkan considering what he said to Fia at the end. All I gotta say is he better get his head out of his butt and properly claim his women.

I was excited to begin this Paranormal series. One, I have read other books by this author so I knew I was in for a treat. Two, I have been preoccupied with reading MC genre for so long and I was excited for a change.

This first book in this series grabbed me and pulled me in. I forgot how much I love to read about werewolves and now I am sucked back in to this genre. There are two men that are hot for Fia and she gets to choose between Dunkan and Leon. Now add some werewolves and secrets to this mix and we find Fia's world spinning out of control.

Many secrets are revealed but the book leaves us with more questions that will be answered in the follow up, She Wolf. I can't wait to see how Fia progresses with the life changes coming her way. Hopefully it will be with a certain man (wolf) that I have a soft spot for.

Come on book #2. I am ready to see how this plays out!!

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Morgan Jane Mitchell. This is book 1 of Broad Gate Pack by the author.

For assistant medical examiner Fia Ruiz working in the morgue was nice and quiet until a John Doe laying on her slab gets up and bites her. Sexy detective Dunkan Walsh is assigned to the case but he has problems trying to control his beast when the dead John Doe stakes a claim on the sexy Fia. When push comes to shove Dunkan and Leon aka John Doe fight for Fia but it ends up being more then just a fight to the death.

I loved this story and can't wait for the next book.

Hmmmmm.

I don't know what to say about this book. It was odd and confusing at times, yet a mix of intrigue and mundane at others.
Fia is a 23yr old medical examiner and empath. When a gun shot victim incredulously jumps off her morgue table, presumably dead, and bites her...and the following night she gets bitten again...nothing makes sense. Including detective Dunkan who's hot and cold for her.
Written in Fia's pov throughout, it wouldn't have hurt to have another view point though. The storyline was both good and bad. In all honesty it was oddly different. There's a few weird 'were' sex scenes, and relationship declarations but no hea. A full book but to be continued.

Well Bite Me Twice

I never really been into werewolf books, I have mainly read vampire books, but this was definitely an exceptional book about werewolves. If you are into this type of genre then I would suggest that you do not pass this book up because it was fantastic. It was definitely a different type of read for me, but what I really enjoyed about this book was the love that the two main characters in the book had for one another. Pick it up and read it you won't be sorry you did!
