The Handsome Rich CEO
And His New Secretary
Let The Fun Begin!

STORY LINE:

Sebastian Reed has been appointed CEO of Reed Publishing by his father. He is handsome, rich, well-known, has an active social life with many women in his life. However he has a problem; his father's long time secretary, Marie, is retiring. Sebastian must find and hire a new secretary to facilitate his running of the family business. After numerous applicants, Sebastian can not find a replacement that suits him. Enter, Ellie Jennings from stage right. Her moxie during her interview impressed Marie; she hired Ellie without consulting Sebastian.

Come along as Sebastian and Ellie journey through work and attraction.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:

Author Sofia Madrigal, created a very sexual character in Sebastian who grows in this story. I really did not care for Sebastian in the beginning of book, however by the end I was impressed. Sebastian is attracted to Ellie and fighting to keep their relationship on a professional level.

Ellie has her own issues; one is her attraction to her boss.

There are a several plots in this book. I will not reveal these as they would be spoilers.

The pacing and development of the book was on target for the length of story. Ms. Madrigal's story was a short easy book to read introducing Ellie and Sebastian for a new series.

The novella thorough short is well written. Ms. Madirgal sex scene in the first chapter was hot and steamy; however this story did not depend upon explicit to sale the story-line. Actually the only sex scene is in the beginning of the book. The balance of the book is a story of attraction and dancing around the elephant in the room. This book does have an interesting cliff-hanger at the end. I am sure book two will take off at the end of this book as the story continues.

RECOMMENDATION:

If you do not care for explicit sex and sexual language this novella may not be for you. Personally, if it is too explicit for me, I just skip over those parts. I recommend this book for adults due to sexual content. It is an easy to read short book with a good story-line of interoffice attraction.

I received this book from the author in return for an honest book review.

This is a very simple serial story by a new author. It has quite a few editing problems, mostly with punctuation, but if you can get past that, the story in itself is okay. There's just not a whole lot of story there. The main characters are Sebastian, the Billionaire boss, fairly young and hot who recently took over the company from his father. He's looking for a secretary, and ends up hiring a young woman named Ellie. She recently graduated with a business degree, but is having a hard time finding a job utilizing her skills and so “settles” for being the secretary for CEO Sebastian. It's a bit unrealistic. I don't know how this guy became a billionaire, when this is obviously an extremely small publishing company with no mention of any other employees. And are secretaries still judged nowadays on their ability to make a good cup of coffee? Really? Sounds like something out of the sixties or maybe seventies. Kind of demeaning.
Anyway, he's hot and a player, so it doesn't take long for Ellie to form a big crush on him. She knows that's not a good idea. Meanwhile, Sebastian also has lustful images of Ellie, but knows that he shouldn't act on them since she's a good secretary. And the story kind of ends with the two of them dancing together, all dressed up at a charity event.
The author does manage to squeeze in one very hot sex scene at the beginning, where Sebastian picks up an unknown woman in a bar and, well, you can figure it out. That part, at least, is well written.
This is, basically, a teaser for part two of what is going to be a sequel. As for how many sequels are planned, I have no idea. But personally, there wasn't enough meat on this story to make me want to continue with it.
I received a free copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is a short novella introducing the reader to Sebastian and Ellie. As the book begins, Sebastian has just taken the reigns as CEO of Reeds Publishing. He is not happy to learn that his father's long time secretary, Marie, is retiring. However, before leaving, Marie has promised to help Sebastian find a suitable replacement. After several unsuccessful interviews. Ellie Jennings shows up. Marie is quite impressed with her and hires her without Sebastian's approval. The reason Sebastian doesn't approve of Marie's decision isn't because Ellie isn't qualified for the position. In fact, she is over qualified. The problem that Sebastian has is that he is very attracted to Ellie, and as the two of them spend more and more time working together, his attraction towards her only intensifies. For the first time is his life, Sebastian doesn't know what to do. Does he resist his attraction and keep Ellie as the valued employee that she has become, or does he throw caution to the wind and take her to his bed?

Overall, this was an okay read for me. Be prepared-it ends with a huge cliffhanger, so you will have to buy the next book in order to find out how Sebastian and Ellie's story plays out.

Very intriguing and will leave you wanting more!
Sebastian Reed has a lot going for himself; he's hot, has money, is the new CEO of Reed Publishing, and has a bevy of women constantly at his beck and call. His Dad's secretary who has known him his whole life is retiring and she ends up hiring her replacement. Sebastian is instantly attracted to her but is determined to not to go there.
Ellie Jennings is a beautiful young woman who has recently graduated with a business degree, but is having no luck in finding a job until someone calls in a favor for her to get an interview at Reed Publishing. She falls into the role of secretary extremely well however she can't stop thinking about her sexy, new boss!
The tension between the two is palpable but they are both determined to keep things professional. However, when Sebastian sees Ellie at the charity gala, he knows he can no longer stay away.
Book One of this series will have you anticipating what happens next with Sebastian and Ellie along with other aspects in the story! An absolute must read!!!

Sofia Madrigal sure knows how to write her characters into her story line so well that you feel like you are right there with them.
Sebastian Reed is taken over the head of the company from his father. Marie was his father's secretary as long as Sebastian could remember and she was retiring to move to Flordia herself . But she agreed to stay on long enough to help him find her replacement. So interviews started and went on and on.

Then there is Ellie. Ellie's mom worked around and got her an interview for the job opening with Sebastian. Now it is up to Ellie to win the job and Sebastian to hire her OR to decide he would rather bed her. OH yes the steam in this book is really hot hot hot. I am so ready for book 2
