Awesome book on how to make super fabulous trims for use on clothing and other stuff. The author takes a courier, aka handmade approach, so expect some hand sewing.

The subtitle of this book is Making Designer Trims: Sewing Secrets from a Chanel Collector. This is a how-to book of adding all sorts of trims to (mainly) jackets. Mostly hand-sewing (as is most couture), mostly fiddly and time-consuming (as with most couture), and even though I didn’t know all the stitches mentioned, this book made me wish I’d spent my working career in an atelier, making beautiful, long-lasting clothing. Chanel designs are known for their trims, as the designs are classic.
