This was a well written standalone that gave good background information especially on Michelle's life journey. Although there was a bit of sadness, the storyline was on point. This book has me reading well into the night and finishing early this morning. The characters were realistic and relatable. Ciera was definitely a sister friend for life. Timmy and Terrence were the greatest-real men. Charles and Trey were handled appropriately. Good story

First I must say that normally when I see titles that elude to known cheating with a married man I typically pass them by. I however couldn't pass this book by because after reading the synopsis and sneak peek, I can actually say that I was more than intrigued. I am so glad that I didn't miss out on this wonderful book. This writer is young, but she has what old people call an old soul. The level of maturity that she possesses to tackle such a sensitive subject and the ability that she has to be able to write about a subject that can be considered distasteful but execute it in a manner that you are pulling for someone that typically should be considered the bad guy, is simply short of amazing. From their initial meeting, Michelle and Timmy's chemistry just seemed to flare from the pages with an intensity that assured you that you would become singed if you stepped too close. THEY WERE HAWT!!!! I felt their heat instantly. I also was able to see the type of people they both were. Morally they both wanted to do the right thing but found themselves in very difficult situations. To see how Timmy stuck by Michelle when she was going through a period in her life that is every mother's worst nightmare endeared his character to me. While I loved Timmy and Michelle's relationship I think my favorite couple was Ciara and Terrance. Ciara epitomized the girl from the hood who was intelligent, about her hustle, a great mother, educated, but still hood. She didn't care what people thought about her she was just going to be herself in spite of what other's thought she should be doing or how she should be acting. Nothing illustrates this better than the way she handled Terrance's mother. You couldn't do anything but respect her for being forthright and outspoken about what she believed. I shed a few tears when Ciara went through her trauma but through it all she dusted off her shoulders and kept pushing forward for her son and for the love of her life Terrance. Terrance was a man's man as was Timmy and I strongly admired that trait. They both were all about their families and were willing to do whatever they needed to do in order to ensure both their safety and happiness. If I had to choose the funniest character in the book it would have to be Silence HANDS DOWN!!! I was literally laughing out loud just about everytime he opened his mouth(SPIN-OFF????) Both Michelle and Timmy had excellent patterns to follow by seeing the relationships that both sets of parents had. Shirley and Luke and Reece and Seeri were the relationship goals that everyone aspires to have and attain. I can't say much more about the story without giving it away but just trust me when I say that you don't want to miss it!! Now this author Ms. Gray there aren't enough adjectives, words, or phrases in the English language to describe the level of talent that this young lady possesses. She is what every parent dreams of their child becoming successful, intelligent, and talented. To be so young and tackle such a complex subject with such maturity is completely mind boggling to me. It is unfathomable to me and almost too much to perceive how she effortlessly is able to allow the words to flow from her imagination to the page. She connects with her readers on a level that completely draws us into the story from the first word written to the last period on the last page. I literally didn't want the book to end. I wanted it to go on, and on, and on, and........I'm sure you guys get the point!!!! The thing is, is that I am just flabbergasted by her talent and can only admonish each and everyone of you to go out and purchase this book. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! THAT IS MY PERSONAL GUARANTEE!!!! Kudos Ms. Gray, KUDOS!!!! I am anxiously awaiting to see what you have in store for us next!!!!

Another Woman's Husband

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was very emotional and entertaining. I was happy for Michelle and Timmy even though their beginning wasn't cool. Once everything became clear, I understood. I was also happy for Ciara and Terrance. He stuck by her during the most difficult time.

this booked played with my emotions so bad. i was happy, sad, mad, and surprised throughout this entire book. Patrice surprised me the most, but i guess i should’ve suspected the unexpected. i felt like i was apart of the family lol. when i first read the title i expected a married man cheating the entire book, but Johnazia proved me wrong. i hope that Ciara and Terrance get a spin-off though. i would love that

Good read!

This was a very entertaining storyline. Michelle and Timmy were not supposed to fall in love but they did. Timmy had fallen out of love with his wife, Patrice prior to Michelle coming around. There was some drama in this one. Like Patrice was crazy AF and couldn’t handle taking her loss. I even shed a tear at one point, lol. But overall, I enjoyed reading this story. It was, “sinfully” good. ❤️

Loved it!

Let me just say that I loved the happy ending! Even though Briana died it still didn't take away from everyone being happy. I also loved the fact that u could either give us more or it can be a standalone. No cliffhangers to make me mad that I have to wait til the next one comes out! Great job! Keep writing and I'll keep reading!

This fast-paced, “all-inclusive” stand alone is not your average tale of an extramarital affair, which I think is one of the things the reader will appreciate most. I reference this as “all-inclusive” because the author does an excellent job providing all necessary and consistent details throughout this story. She does not leave the reader with any questions and they will truly be satisfied once they reach the end. Kudos to the author as from what I know from following her on social media, she is young (early twenties) but was able to pen this mature read that can appeal to readers of AA fiction of several generations.

Michelle has her daughter Briana at a very young age and while her daughter’s father Charles couldn’t seem to get it together, Michelle was determined to accomplish her goals by graduating with 2 degrees. At her graduation party she meets her best friend Ciara’s new boyfriend Terrance. Terrance was accompanied by his firm partner and best friend Timmy and sparks definitely flew between him and Micelle. The only bad part about this is Timmy is married to Patrice. From then we see both relationships grow as the couples deal with heavy events such as divorce, rape, family betrayal, and death.

This book will evoke several emotions from the reader as each character and event grasp you from beginning to end.

Wow

This was most definitely a different story with a lovely twist. I felt bad for Michelle. Poor stink just couldn't catch a break to save her life, not for the lack of trying. I like how the author had you thinking the book was going one way and boom here it's going another way. You will not be disappointed with this book. It gave us enough heart ache, made us laugh it was just a mixture of everything and I really enjoyed this book. Kudos to you Ms. Gray.

Good read!

Awesome read! This was a bit different from what I thought was really happening, in that's most times they have an affair but was hiding it. This wasn't the case in that they were happy and proud lol. Patrice was a hot mess! Just disrespectful and bold faced. Briana, I really thought she was gonna be there with her mom and her happiness. That was sad. All mixed emotions. Good job!

Awwee

Love the bond between Michelle and Ciara. They truly were close and definitely always there for each other. Charles was a worthless piece of crap. There are just no words for how wrong he was. Glad that Ciara and Michelle were able to find happiness with Terrance and Timmy. Silence was hilarious. Shocked with what happened to Brianna after such a hopeful outlook. All in all a nice read.
