The spirit of Gerard Ross still pines for a woman he'd known for only a day before the Battle of Culloden Moor, a woman who's true name he never knew. And in what he believes is a move of unfathomable generosity, the witch allows him to leave Culloden and keep the promise he'd made to his beloved so long ago. But perhaps the witch hasn't been as generous as he supposed...
A tender-hearted lass named Assa discovers that heroes really can step out of your dreams. Or perhaps, it was a nightmare. It's a race to see whose memory clears first--but in the end, only one of them can win.
I love these books. Yes, you need to read "The Gathering" before embarking on the stories. After that, the books are pretty much stand alone reads. However, with this book, you really need to read "Kennedy: A Highlander Romance" before this book in order to fully appreciate and understand all that happened before this story and the relevance and the history behind the two lead characters. Having said that, you won't be sorry. I loved it.
Gerard is book 15 in the series. Each book originates from the ghosts of 79 people who died at Culloden. However, each story is unique, and focuses on the specific ghost. Each ghost must complete a noble deed. Gerard was in love was Assa when he died at Cullodeen. Unbeknownst to him, Assa also died at Cullodeen and went by the name Kennedy. With help, Gerard finds Assa, and they reunite. I liked how this book brought two of the ghosts together. The story is well written and interesting. The characters are well developed. Narration is excellent, I love the Scottish brogue. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This is book 15 in the series. You will want to read the first short story, The Gathering, for the background of the Muir witch before you start the rest of the series. After that, each one can be read as a standalone .
You will also need to read book 13 Kennedy before reading this story. It will all make more sense if you do. I won’t say much so as not to spoil anything, but this series of ghosts 👻 are wonderful. They will really hug at your ❤️.
This is part of the ghost of the "Culloden Moor" series. Definitely read the "Gathering" first because it sets everything up. I would also suggestion reading "Kennedy" in the series before this one. Each story is about one of the seventy nine who died at Culloden and are now ghosts. Each story is each story is unique and a bit different. This is a good story, that develops nicely. It is interesting and intriguing with good narration. This one is about Gerard, Assa and ghosts.
Can love survive over time? Some say yes? For how long? 200 years or more? Maybe? Such are the questions answered in Gerald. Can love transcend time and space? L.L.Muir gives us a glimpse in an extraordinary tale of Scotland's Romeo and Juliet reboot. Such a treat.
...to a story begun elsewhere. Gerard was a faithful hero, whose love endured through the ages, even when he was unsure that it was reciprocated or even what boon he would earn by completing his task, which he did gallantly. Love the elderly and interfering Muir Aunties!
I loved this book. Gerard fell in love with Assa after one day with her on the road to Cullodin Moor. But he would keep the memories of that last day with him for centuries until it was time his number was called. Instead of revenge, he wanted just one thing, to be able to hold her in his arms.
This is book 15 in The Ghosts of Culloden Moor Series, a Scottish Paranormal Romance. I love this series! Gerard and Assa's short story is beautifully written, sweet, and intriguing. Andrew McDermott and Jenn McGuirk did an excellent job bringing this story to life.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
All Gerard wants is to be with his one love a woman named Assa. The Muir witch gives him this chance for one day to be alive again. He is transported to Scotland and on the hunt for Assa. This is a haunting tale of true love, ghosts and hoping for a happy ending.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
L.L. Muir did a great in providing us with endearing characters along with an engaging story line. The narrators did a fantastic job of breathing life into the characters and making this a fun listen.
I received a copy of this audio book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
I have found it impossible to put the books down.......I can't wait to fin and read the next book in the series. I have thoroughly enjoyed the tale of the Laddies..
Just when you thought that it couldn't get any better! It does.I can't believe it,Ok I admit it BEST SERIES EVER .I WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT A TEN OF POSSIBLE.
There were several twists in this book and I enjoyed every Curve that took place. Assa and Gerard are the most lovely couple and I just simply love the happily ever after
Gerard (The Ghosts of Culloden Moor #15), my twelfth read from author L.L. Muir & the fifteenth in the highly enjoyable Ghosts of Culloden Moor series. My wife is a Scottish romance reader & sometimes the books she reads influence me to read them as well. Another well-written short read in the series. I'll read more from this author & in this series, but what really got me going was narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue. Co-narrator Jenn McGuirk added to the enjoyment of the book. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
The Muir sisters enter the story and all logic leaves. Gerard searches for a girl with no last name in a small town in Scotland. When he finds a girl by that name, he must decide if she's the one. Her amnesia throws a twist in the tale. Is he the man of her dreams?
Okay I was a little disappointed with this book. I was waiting to see if he would be reunited with the woman he fell in love with. Instead he goes through a whole bunch of family members, by members and Soni's crazy kinfolk. I can't really say what happens but it was sort of anticlimactic for me. Oh well, we have felled another ghostie.
I only planned to read a chapter before bed. Instead I stayed up to finish this. Good thing these books are short (about 112 pages)! I love the characters, and am very glad to see things work out for them.
