Edward Irving "Ed" Koch was an American lawyer, politician, and political commentator. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1969 to 1977 and three terms as mayor of New York City from 1978 to 1989. He also became known as a "judge" on the television judge show The People's Court from 1997 to 1999.

Oh, Mayor Koch. Your ability to repay the Federal loans on time, with interest, ensures you a place in NYC history. But you were never an intellectual, and you are not a good writer. Some of these anticodots are great, even if you have told them in other settings. But you should have hired a ghostwriter and an editor. The flow just doesn't work.
