Jared Reed, a handsome, divorced architect, has been busier than ever since he started doing business with his in-laws, the Blakes. He won't need a social life if he consumes himself with work. Everyone seems determined to set him up with software executive Autumn Waverly, but who has the time for romance? Besides, his ex-wife has resurfaced with an outlandish request that will change his life forever if he agrees. In dire need of some alone time to clear his head, Jared decides to vacation at the Executive Desires resort...where he runs into none other than Autumn.
As Autumn's twin sister prepares to take a walk down the aisle with her soul mate, Autumn can't help but feel a little separation anxiety about the different paths they are taking. When her sister surprises her with a vacation to the Executive Desires resort, Autumn gets the shock of her life when she arrives to find that Jared Reed is there. They agree they've been tricked, but they don't have to fall for the matchmaking trap thrust upon them. Besides, Jared has baggage, and she isn't ready to give her heart away just for a fling in paradise...
I read about this book on a blog I follow and immediately bought it. I started reading it about five minutes later, and now four hours after my purchase, I have finished it. I couldn't stop reading it. I loved the authors writing style and the story. I loved the characters and family. This is my first Blake Boys book, I will definitely be reading more.
Loved it. True love. Great story about Jared and Autumn. Really love the Blake family. Thanks for the great read Ms Laurel. Can hardly wait for book 14.
And when family plays match maker, the relationship is bound to succeed if the couple is willing. There was resistance from both of them at first. Autumn is trying to adjust to her twin sister getting married and losing easy access to her for advice. She never really had any long term relationships. Jared, on the other hand, threw all of his efforts into his career and business after his divorce from his snotty bourgie wife. Plus, but that ex wife in the mix and that makes an already skiddish Autumn ready to run.
I always enjoy Rhonda's story about the Blake and Reed family. This was and enjoyable easy read romance about two people adjusting to their new relationship and all of the issues and family politics where their relationship is concerned.
Rhonda Laurel has knocked it out of the park again! I've missed the Blake Boys (Legacy)! I know there more stories in there somewhere and I can't wait! I know we have t heard the last of Ms Charisma. I just she keeps turning over a new leaf and not take out her failings on Morgan. We shall see! Again the writing is such that I feel like I'm part of the family. This could definitely be a drama (with a touch of humor on the side) TV show. I have a vivid imagination and I've already visualized each character and how they look! For those of you who haven't read the other 12 books (You have to read them in order for fully enjoy the series) you're truly missing a treat!
2.5 star rating.....Nothing new which shouldn't be a surprise with Ms. Laurel's books but I usually enjoy her books more so than I did this one....Didn't really feel the connection between Jared and Autumn as I did with the other couples in the Blake Boys series......Enjoyed catching up with everyone but this one was just okay for me.....
Stranded in Paradise (The Blame Boys Book 13) is a very good romantic novel that earned a rating of five stars. This book is just as good as the other Blame Boy books. In this book Morgan's brother, Jared finally find love with Autumn Waverly. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading a good book.
This wasn't one of my favorites in the series. It seems like the earlier books really focused on the characters of Blake and Morgan but the spin off characters don't get much depth and have real quick stories. Hopefully Ms. Laurel will go back to writing longer books where the characters are more developed.
As a fan of the Blake Series, I can say that this next installment in the Blake Legacy was great. I enjoy the way the family keeps growing in number and love. Waiting for the next chapter with baited breath, Ms. Laurel.
