Sam McCall #1

Endangered

Rate this book
A savvy campaign manager is always prepared to expect the worst during a heated political race, but Sam McCall never anticipated murder.

He's worked for Utah state senator Maggie Hansen for fifteen years. Now, in her bid for one last term in office, a sensational murder rocks the campaign. Environmentalist Steve Tate is shot in cold blood. The chief suspect is the senator's caustic brother, a powerful rancher who had accused Tate of shooting his cattle.

Sam's primary objective is to get to the truth before his candidate loses the election in the fallout of suspicion and scandal. With the press turning up the heat and the opposition having a field day, he's running out of time. But he knows that in politics the best defense is a good offense. Unfortunately, so does a killer.

Not bad little mystery as campaign manager must keep an eye on a murder investigation that centers around a Senator's brother. Kept my interest throughout, although there isn't a lot of action. Recommended.
