Buttoned-up doctor by day, dangerous tattooed biker by night. Heller’s Gap is in for a ride.
Sarah’s role in the Hell’s Sons motorcycle club is to take care of its members, and in turn they take care of her. But she draws the line where O’Dovey’s concerned. He’s too possessive and starting to scare her. Then he goes past the point of no return, and Sarah is forced to do the unthinkable.
Since joining the Heller’s Gap charter of the club, Dr. Connall West has had his eye on the beautiful girl known as Sweetheart Sarah. She evokes memories of a woman he once knew—and lost. Those hard-learned lessons should be enough for him to steer clear. But when he finds Sarah terror-stricken and drenched in blood, he has no choice but to rescue her. Fortunately, he has the shovel and dim headlights to do the job.
Connall’s sworn to never do harm, and between O’Dovey and the ghosts of his past, guilt has a stranglehold on him. He’s strong enough to bear Sarah’s guilt too—if she’d only let him. Aside from the points of her nails in his back and the occasional glimpse of her heart, she keeps to herself. But their toxic secret binds them together—right?
When the club suspects their biggest rivals are responsible for their missing member O’Dovey, revenge and the blood of war is on their minds. Can Sarah and Connall make everything right and shake off the chains of the past without losing their club ties, the only family they know?
I have to tell you, this is the first book in the series I have read. I won an ARC and this is my honest review.
Sarah is a club girl, born and raised. She knows no other life. Growing up the club was her haven, now she feels like she being caged and no one seems to notice. Under the twisted thumb of a club member, she tries to eek out an existence. It's becoming hard and harder until hope arrives...wearing crocs and a cut. The Doc has had to move many times because his personal life and his profession seems to blur the lines. As a member of an MC, it's unusual to have a day job, especially as a doctor. As a doctor, most don't know about his MC. His demons keep him moving and his MC gives him the only family he can count on.
When his moral compass and the MC clash, he does everything he can to protect the beauty he can't seem to get off his mind. Sarah is both light and poison in his life.
When things get tough, will he get going or stick around? Will she leave her only family for a life outside? Will either be given a choice?
It's a very good read with a whole lot of steam. I imagine the others would be just as much fun.
Soul Ties has the grit of an MC book, plus the strength and courage of two people living in the MC. What makes this stand out is that Connall is not your typical MC member. Sarah knew that the first time she saw him riding. He’s a respected doctor that has a job outside of the club and chooses to make the club his family. Sarah doesn’t know anything but the club. When they come crashing together, they are from different sides of the world but their strength and belief in the club as their family seems to knit solidly into one. Soul Ties is just that, Connall and Sarah joining their souls. As much as Connall didn’t want to get involved and resisted, he couldn’t leave her. He showed Sarah that she was whole and valued for even the tiniest things. Sarah & Connall weren’t innocents when it came to the grit of the club but they did what they could to protect and support the members. Excellent read and a great matching of their souls.
MC life is a tough one to live. Certain lines cannot be crossed when living a part of that life. Sarah's dad is a lifer and she's been brought up in the fold. She's getting unwanted attention from one of the members. The new member Connall gets her motor running and it turns out he's going to be her lifeline. Connall helps he cover up some nasty business and puts his own life on the line. Connall has been dealing with darkness inside him, but when he encounters Sarah she brings a light into his life. He will risk anything to protect even his own life. MC is not my got to, but when my favorite authors write it I read it because I know they will do it justice. I did enjoy this one and it kept me on the edge of my seat because I was waiting for that other shoe to drop. I really liked Connall. Great hero material just alone for what he did for Sarah. If you're a fan of this genre I would give this one a read.
Sarah has been a part of the Hell's Sons MC for years, they take care of her, and her job is to take care of the club and make runs for their beer. She wishes she had something more important to do for the club and O'Dovey would keep his hands to himself. Just lately his possessiveness is getting out of hand and he's beginning to scare her. How can she aid her club and safely keep him at bay. Dr Connall West works hard at his profession, he's a bl**dy good Dr. and surgeon, but he needs an outlet and he'd been invited to joined the Hell's Sons MC where a beautiful woman named 'Sweetheart' Sarah works, and he's had his eye on her for ages. When he arrives and finds her in trouble, he has no choice but to too help her out. I loved this book. It had a great story, the the plot line kept me intrigue right until the end. I highly recommend it! 5/5
First off, I had not read the first three books in the series when I read this, and it was just fine. Dr. West, a surgeon, is also a member of the Hell's Sons motorcycle club. This is an unusual combination, but Em Petrova pulls it off, and does it well. Sarah, known has Sweetheart Sarah, has grown up in the club. The attraction between the two of them is instant, but there is a lot going on more than just that. This book really keeps your attention between the action, the suspense, and the steamy love scenes. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and I really enjoyed reading it.
Sarah was raised in the club life. Its the only thing she knows. And she loves it. Until one member begins to get really possessive of her. It freaks her out and she begins to fear him. Doc transfers from another club, he is a Doctor by profession, but the club is family to him. He draws a fine line between the two. When Sarah is at her lowest he steps in and takes care of her. He helps her and it could get them both killed. Can be read as a standalone. I receive this book as gift for an honest review.
Best in the series! Also can be read independently.
"You know that if this ends in fire, I won't let you burn, Sweetheart..." Connall, the successful doctor and dedicated member to the Hell's Sons MC, is determined to protect Sarah from herself, the Club and even him. His past haunts his future that only shines with thoughts of Sarah. Their relationship ignites fast and furious with a shared secret they swear to keep.
This story hooked me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. Fast paced and packed with emotions.
This was my first time reading a book in the Club Ties series. It works very well as a stand alone and I didn't feel as if I was missing something by not reading the first three. Steamy and fast paced, this is a well written story with a few surprises and some suspense. I loved the biker-doctor hero. It was a fresh twist to the MC storyline. An enjoyable read.
ARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is Connall and Sarah’s story. He’s a respected doctor but makes the MC his family. She doesn’t know any other life but the club and is considered Sweetheart Sarah. There’s instant attraction between the two. She learns she can count on him when he helps cover up some nasty business thus bringing their connection closer. It’s action packed, suspenseful and steamy hot. Overall an enjoyable read. Received an ARC copy from author for a honest review.
"Soul Ties" (Club Ties Book 4) by Em Petrova is a great read. I enjoyed getting to know Sarah and Connall. This is the first book in this series that I've had the chance to read so far and I'm looking forward to reading the rest. This is another great story from Em Petrova! Highly recommend to all fans of MC romance.
