This series is awesome. Just when you think it's over, something else happens. So, now I start the 7th book of the series that I never got to read. The Cartel 7 Illuminati: Roundtable of Bosses.

Wow, wow all I can say is wow. I am very shocked at what Zyir did. But it's understandable glad he's not dead. I do wonder in book seven will it mention him. Hope so and poor Monroe. Smh I feel sorry for him. And I had a gut feeling about that Sam woman, and I was right. Smh. Glad she got "got" by Aries. Not sure if I feel sorry for Miamor, but hey she took the fall for Carter. Not sure if she deserves it. He doesn't either. I feel sorry for Monroe, son. He saw his father and mother get killed in front of him. Like, Jesus. What is he like 10 or something. And Miamor deaded Fly Boogie lmao oh well he deserves it. I wanted to like him, but he was FULL of dog poop.

This book was excellent!! If you've been following this series for years you will not be disappointed.
I had to deducted a star because I am so tired of the cliffhangers and waiting years for the next book to come out. If your going to leave us hanging the next book should come sooner than later.

This book was great. Once I found time to actually sit down and read it I couldn't put it down. This book is full of emotions that could be felt as if you were going through them yourself. Its a true must read and a good read.

Well here I am struggling with an accurate rating.. It's more like a 3.8.
I have followed this series from jump, so I have spent a lot of time reading these books. I used to look up reviews and scoff at reviewers who criticized A&J. There are a lot of readers who don't read street/urban whatever you prefer to call it because apparently there is some debate over that as well.
A&J were one of the first authors of the genre that I gave a chance. I even read their individual works. They are great at what they do and this series defines who they are as artists. They actually won me over because I liked book one but was side eyeing the "Godfather" ish theme they started with because I am a big Godfather and mob movie fanatic. But still, I kept reading and then in walks Carter Jones. Brilliant character development. Then Miamor. Again,brilliant and fresh. Carter and Miamor together- nuff said. Then in the previous installment something changed for me. I didn't ride for Carter as much but Monroe had my full attention. The last installment was extremely good. In book 2 or whichever was the "dream" book, the one everyone was mad about except me lol - that's when I fell in love with Zyir and Breeze and really thought they could stand alone in a book of their own. But by book 5 Miamor became a staple character for me even over Carter. So in 5 when Carter messed up in Saudi, I lost a lot of respect for his character. I know human nature etc.. But it chipped away at what they had built him to be. But Monroe... I liked even more... Also in book 5, I actually liked Fly until they devolved him in the end only to evolve him in 6 and then devolve him. There was real chemistry between he and Miamor and although I know it would be a big deal to pair her with him because of the whole Carter situation, Carter was foul in this installment. He just kept being disloyal to Mia. I mean in one chapter, he's riding with her until the end and the next he's telling her about the bounty on her head... What kinda mess? And in the end, there is really no save for his character as far as loyalty goes for me.
Just on the technical writing side of this story, many critics have said that they use a lot of the same adjectives and they use adjectives with everything. I used to disagree but as I said I go way back with this series and so I've grown some and it's true. It can be annoying but yet it is a trademark of their voice. It definitely distinguishes their work. I read quite a bit and even when they write separately they do the same thing. I think maybe Ashley does it a lot more.
Also as far as the logic of the story-do they reach? Yes. But it is fiction. The only real issue I have is that in this series they have said certain things and then changed them. For instance, I'm still confused on how many sexual partners Mia has had. When she met Carter, it was said that there was only one man before him but when you read other installments you find out she was raped by several men and then I don't remember her having sex with Murder in the flashbacks in this series only that they came close. But in later installments he claims he had her and she doesn't deny it. Also in this installment I was confused on Moe's age. When Fly see's him in a scene it is stated that he is around 16 but then that would've made CJ older than 8. Some of their facts were confusing. When Mia talks to Baraka, he calls a house phone--it seemed but then he says he will text her. There are always those little things in nearly every installment they write.
So I like these guys it's just for me maybe this has come to an end. If it continues my note to the authors are don't leave Mia out there sniffing and waiting on Carter if he is acting some type of way. Give her a better smarter Fly or someone like him because I can't respect Fly anymore but Carter needs to understand that he isn't the only sought after sex symbol of the series.

Another masterpiece from the minds of Ashley & Jaquavis. Part 6 pics up right where part 5 ended and will keep you on the edge of your seat till it ends. This book was not only entertaining but it had a lot of heart to it. I'm eager to see where the Cartel franchise goes next & can't wait for the Illuminati.

Here is my review.....
I keep reading the books, even though the series should've been over after book 3. Insanity, right? The book spans several years, with several plots. Some major characters meet their demise, some change for the worse, some will serve life sentences...will not know the outcome because, you guessed it....there is another book...the beginning to the Illuminati!
Side Note: the end of the book brings back characters from Murderville (Baron and Dahlia), Dirty Money (Anari), and The Dopeman (Millie).
Would I recommend: Yes, especially if you have read the other books in the series.

But as I was reading this book I kept being surprised never thought the things in this book would've happen. Especially the situation with Zyir and Monroe like **** you had to off him? He just back to life lol but he was reckless so. And Zyir it's understandable but that was a hard choice he had to choose. Hopefully they will talk about Zyir in th next book I want to know what happen to him. Is he in a wheelchair or nah. Plus I'm glad Sam got off by Aries I knew she was a rat when Zyir brought her in the hospital room. I'm like something up with this women and I was right. Definitely can't wait for part 7 to come out next year.

This was a satisfying conclusion to The Cartel series, and the ending saved some of our favorite characters for the new Illuminati series. From start to finish I thought this was one of the more thought out plot lines in the series. Each characters' story line came to an end in one way or the other, and there was none of the weird timeline problems that have plagued a few of the books.
My personal favorite part of the book is the way that Aries handled Sam. You have to love the way our girl came through.

So my question is, it this the end of the Cartel's? If so I don't like the ending. I would have love to read of Carter reuniting with CJ and Miamor. Did Breeze get back with Zy? Tell how this new organization got Breeze and Miamor out of jail and there charges. Don't get me wrong I loved the book but to me there is so many things I would have loved to see transformed or unfolded. Sam deserved what she got and as for Zy, snitches should have a second chance... (That doesn't make what he did right). But remember Miamor first goal was to kill Carter. You just can't end the Cartel's like this.

Money dead, Zyir dead, Miamor facing slavery years, Breeze locked up on some tax evasion bullshit, who knows where those babies are gonna end up, Carter and a bunch of niggas from other series by the Coleman's were kidnapped and invited to join the illuminati...shit crazy.
This kept my attention, but I'm still feeling how I was after the last book. I'm just not interested in the Cartel anymore. I'm gonna keep reading. I'm determined to get through their catalog. But I'm actually ready to be done with the Diamonds.

SO, WHAT MADE THIS MY THIRD LEAST FAVORITE OF THE CARTEL SERIES ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS IS: MIAMOR SPENT MOSTLY THE ENTIRE BOOK EITHER CRYING HER EYES OUT & BEGGING CARTER TO TAKE HER BACK INSTEAD OF FINDING REAL HAPPINESS(MUST HAVE BEEN ASHLEY'S DOING!)! AND THAT WE DON'T HEAR FROM MIAMOR UNTIL TOWARDS THE END OF TC7 (MUST HAVE BEEN JAQUAVIS'S DOING!), WHICH IS WHY I DISLIKED BOOK 6 THE DEMISE!

I don’t know why… but I just don’t believe FlyBoogie is completely dead! 🤣 I don’t think that one shot was enough for his ass… and knowing Ashley, he gone pop back up. Book 6 was probably the most stressed I have been in this entire series. I really shed a tear hearing Zyir’s backstory, and just knowing that he tried to unalive himself… because he wanted to protect Breeze. Every character just made me so mad/hurt in this story!!!!! 😩🥹 Miamor deserves so muchhhhhh more… she is so blinded by her love for Carter that she NEVER realizes that she is worthy of a different love! Like why would you do a bid for the entire Cartel operation MIAMOR!!!!!!Carter and Miamor are truly made for each other, but I just think that they really needed to get out of the life.. now it’s too late! Monroe is now gone… like the Diamond Family is literally going to be extinct 😫

The Demise
The Cartel 6: The Demise by A&J is a good read. Those authors did an amazing job. It's never disappointed me. I have to take my time to reading this book.
I remember some of characters from their previous books. I'm not going to say too much about this book. Once again, the characters are wild and crazy at the same time.
I'm looking forward to reading the Cartel 7.

“The Cartel” is one of the best series of books I have ever read. I have so many of my friends reading it now! I’m am actually considering starting a book club. If you are thinking of getting this book, think know longer. It is a must have!

Okay okay I see you Ashley and JaQuavis!! I want really expecting these turn off events. I was heart broken and upset at the same time.I was on the edge of my seat as well. This is a long series, but the best part is...your ingest is kept the untrue time your reading. Unlike most long series who seem to keep going for no particular reason at all!
