Forty-two-year-old Marcelle “MJ” Jeffreys knew it was time to get rid of the excess baggage weighing her down. She had a list: Divorce her cheating husband. Check. Quit her dead-end job. Check. Return to the Big Apple. Check. Only one item remains: Get rid of the junk-in-her-trunk. The last thing she expects is to be attracted to her personal fitness trainer. Not only is Dylan McCoy a man from her past, he's younger, which gives the prospect of pursuing this interracial romance a bit daunting for "MJ".

Dylan owns his own business, has a body made in the gym, and the pick of any woman he wants. Yet none of those women have the qualities he wants in a life partner. When “MJ” walks into his fitness center, her warm smile and sexy curves knock him down like a hundred-pound weight, and he wants nothing more than to start a steamy multicultural romance with this stunning African American. Now all he has to do is prove to her that age is just a number and he's counting down the moments until she’s his.

Forever.

Love ends trouble

This was a hoot from the get go. The other two besties had world wind romances and marriages in quick yet dangerous and funny style. Wynter of course had to have a grand adventure to true and lasting love.
I enjoyed the romance and that they waited a while before having sex. When they did it was fun and passionate. The timing of the proposal was off the wall but ultimately perfect for them. Only in New York could all of this be possible.

When this series began with a bet I thought the first two installments contained some pretty impossible HEA situations. This installment takes the cake. While I truly enjoyed reading this novella, it contains situations that are often impossible to believe. If a couple experienced as much as Wynter and Korbin, they would run in the opposite direction from each other, not toward each other. But this is the joy of reading, an author can weave a story so improbable and make it extremely enjoyable to read. I only gave four stars because I feel there were parts of the story that had gaps. For example, while Wynter's family was discussed, no mention was made about Korbin's except how his parents met. Even with my concerns, Ms. Wilson's work will continue to be on my automatic purchase list.

It all started with a bet and Wynter is the last one to come thru so really she lost the bet but when you read the book you can decide if you consider her a winner or a loser. I think the storyline was well written and there were parts that had me laughing so hard I hurt. I do not like to give way a story at all in my reviews so this review is just it is a good book. I started with book 3 instead of 1....I think I might have liked if I had read 1 and 2 first but I liked this one fine. Now off to read the others then re=read this afterwards. I was gifted this book for a honest review.

This story is much more than just light-hearted it has suspense, and intrigue. It is also funny and very well written, I enjoyed the back and forth between the two main characters Korbin and Wynter. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review. I hardly ever give a rating of 5 but I gave Roxy Wilson a 5 out of 5.
