Meet the Walshes. They're smart, sexy, seriously funny, and all kinds of alpha. Book 1
One hot architect. One naughty schoolteacher. One crazy night that changes everything.
If I had known I'd have a hot architect balls deep inside of me before the end of the weekend, I'd have made time for a pedicure. Also, a little chat about not losing my shit at all the wrong moments. Hindsight was a bitch, and karma…well, I didn't know her story yet.
Book 2
A brilliant, alpha architect. A smart, sultry apprentice. What could possibly go wrong?

I absolutely love both books in this set. The drive and determination shown by both heroines show that once you put your mind to something you can succeed. A must read.
I absolutely loved reading The Walsh Collection, to my surprise this is the first two books in this amazing series. Book one is all about Matthew Walsh a Architecture who works for the family business specializing in Historic Preservation. Basically it's him and his four brothers who are all architects and his older sister Shannon who is a realtor & a Lawyer who run Walsh Associates. The four older siblings all attended Cornell, Riley attended Rhode Island School of Design. Their are four boys Patrick is the oldest, Matthew, Shannon, Sam, Riley & Erin. Erin is the youngest and she is a geologist and she studies volcanoes all over the world. Book one is all about Matthew and Lauren Halsted, she's a third grade teacher by trade but is also a Fellowship, which means she's trying to open her own specialized school for grade school children. She meets Matthew at the site of her, cross your fingers, new school. However the place is an old church and its crumbling around them when he does the walk through. He's not sure why she wants this site when he knows of much better places for a school, is some of the inventory his firm has. Well they hit it off and basically spend the next four days glued to each other's side. On Tuesday after the long weekend, he brings up all this fascinating stuff about the school and the new girl he's met. He gets Shannon working on permits and purchasing the building, and he has Lauren working with her to make sure the deal comes off with out a stitch. In the end Shannon gets the button factory for a fantastic price, and Lauren is ecstatic, and Matthew gets the plans approved by his brothers and a school starts to take shape. The author wrote an incredible story about an amazing family, and the characters bring said story to life! Lauren has two brothers who are in the military and a dad who she calls Commander. He raised her like she was a boy and treated her no differently then he did his boys. She can definitely take care of her self, and if theirs a problem dad will come to her rescue. Book two is all about Patrick Walsh and a apprentice named Andy Asani, she also went to Cornell Architecture program and she is one of the top students in her class. She has read Patrick's dissertation for the last several years, and she wants to work for the best and learn from the best. At first he resists wanting an apprentice, but she's growing on him and since she is so through, he gives her lots of responsibility. They have a lot in common, she's a stickler for the rules, and very precise, and won't leave a problem until she has solved it! Patrick loves that about her, plus he's got the hots for her, and she for him. Read this series it won't disappoint, it's hot and steamy and will make you wet will reading it! It's a great story and you won't want to put it down. I can't wait to read book three.
First 2 Walsh Brother's love stories - must read series
This is the 1st two books from the Walsh series Matthew & Lauren's Story -Hot architect & sexy school teacher romance - super hot fated love romance Lauren and Matthew meet when she sweet talks her way into getting an appointment to see if Walsh Associates will be able to restore an old church and turn it into a school. Matthew is surprised that he is instantly attracted to Lauren since he usually goes for marathon & spartan running beast-like woman that know the deal. Lauren has a life plan and it doesn't include romance...not yet. Sometimes the universe has other plans. This book takes you through their world-wind romance that shakes everything Lauren had planned. This book is a little slow in the beginning, but is so worth sticking with it until the end. I fell in love with not only Matthew & Lauren, but also the whole Walsh family. I am always a sucker a romance that includes a large family with issues and quirks. That just means that there will be lots more from Matthew & Lauren and the rest of the bunch.
Patrick & Andy's Story - Impossible to please architect meets his match with his exotic and scary-brilliant apprentice This is the 2nd book in the Walsh Series and is also a stand-alone with character appearances from the first book. So, it's totally up to you, but my recommendation is read these books in order. This book is Patrick's story he is the oldest Walsh brother and head of Walsh associates. Patrick's sister, Shannon, talks him into hiring an apprentice to help him with extremely large load of projects. This is almost painful, but amusing to read about since he is nearly impossible to please and has ran off every office assistant with them in tears...so you can imagine how well interviewing for an apprentice is going. After so many failed interviews he finds the perfect candidate, Andy Asani. The only issue is that he is totally attracted to her and he has no idea if the felling is mutual. I loved reading this story because you get to see two people who have obvious social issues fall in love and decided to blur the lines between boss & apprentice. You also get to know more about the rest of the Walsh family and meet Lauren's family at Matthew & Lauren's wedding. As I continue to read this series, I am loving it more and more.
I read both of the books in this collection, and both of them left me feeling flat. The stories seemed to drag, and then just could not get my head around the heroines in either book. In the first, she's made up her mind that she doesn't have time for her career and a relationship, even though that's basically what she's been doing for months, once he wants to define things, suddenly she doesn't have the time. In the second one, she acts as though she's the only one risking anything to have a relationship with her boss, which makes no sense given that he's opened himself up to the possibility of a sexual harassment lawsuit if things don't work out. Then she gets upset when she thinks she may not be on the fast track to partnership, when she just graduated and has yet to even complete her internship. He shoulders all of the blame for their issues and begs her to forgive him, work things out, etc, and she gives the cold shoulder to this man that she supposedly loves. I just don't get why both of these women hold the men at arms length and are willing to give up on them, even while admitting to themselves that they're in love. The guys would do better to hold out for women who gives as well as take.
The first 2 books of the Walsh series in one collection? YES, PLEASE!!! Underneath It All and The Space Between are just the start in this amazing series. Hot architects, beautiful women, sizzling sexy times, hilariously fun banter....combine those with the amazing Kate Canterbary's writing and you have 2 of the best books out there! The characters are lovable and funny and developed so well that the reader will feel like they know the characters and are right there in the story with them. Canterbary truly has a way with words. This is a 5 star must read for all!
I get wrapped up easily but this family has me dreaming about what's going to happen next. I love how in depth we get into this families lives and figuring out each individual siblings personal life is just so much fun and I can't imagine never meeting this family, love love love!!!
I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I almost put it down Lauren was a little much in the beginning. With her doing everything by myself and being awesome. but the Walsh family is what kept me going. This is my first book by this author and I'm looking forward to reading the next 2 books in this series. I finally found a good book on kindle unlimited.
I love a good family series, and the Walshes do not disappoint. Great characters, good writing, and the perfect balance of funny and angsty. I can't wait to dive into the next book!
