NEW YORK TIMES/USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR

Even though she graduated with a degree in science, Tara knew she’d never be happy doing anything other than writing. Specifically, writing love stories.

She started with a racy BDSM story and found she was not quite prepared for the unforeseen impact it would have. Nonetheless, she continued and The Submissive Series novels would go on to be both New York Times and USA Today Bestsellers. One of those, THE MASTER, was a 2017 RITA finalist for Best Erotic Romance.

Now she is focusing on new contemporary romances that allow her the freedom to write and publish on her own schedule.

I SUPER love this series, if you don’t believe me then read all of my reviews. There’s something about the writing, stories and the author that gets me fangirling every time I realize there’s another book out. I never want this series to end.

This is Meagan and Luke’s story.

To me, The Exposure is a little different from the other books. I found it lighter with less steam and more angst. I kind of enjoyed the change.

Meagan and Luke were once lovers. It was short lived. Years later Megan and Luke are talking to each other again. Luke is a photographer and is working on an artsy BDSM book. Meagan was his model previously and he wants to use her again.

Meagan is a little jaded and she doesn’t want to work with Luke, but when someone threatens her and puts her in a sticky situation. Someone called the Taskmaster is making Meagan do things she doesn’t want to do.

I love a once lover kind of romance kind of read. Because the characters already established a relationship and so there’s so much tension that it makes a juicy storyline. I’ll be honest and stay I’m not a fan of Meagan being threaten by this Taskmaster because it ties me up in knots, but at the same time it makes me glued to the pages wondering when the shoe will drop.

I also like that Luke is into photography and they have these steamy photo sessions. This is a submissive series so you need some steam and Tara Sue Me never disappoints. Meagan is a switch meaning she can be both dominate and submissive, but Luke doesn’t allow Meagan to be dominate and I liked that.

Overall, if you are a fan of the series, you will not be disappointed.

The Exposure by Tara Sue Me is the ninth installment of The Submissive Series and can most definitely be read as a standalone since this book focuses on a new couple. Tara Sue Me delicately exposes the underlying deep emotional and physical connection that reunites two former lovers. While this book is high in the erotic undertones, Tara Sue Me does something that she hasn’t done before in the previous books of this series as she interlaces a bit of suspense into the mix.

#Exposure

Meagan Bishop is a former model who gave up that lucrative career when her disastrous relationship with a photographer left her heartbroken. So when Luke appears back in Meagan’s life asking her to be his muse for an erotic photo book, Meagan is reluctant since this is the man who broke her heart sixteen years ago. But when a threatening email blackmails Meagan into getting dirt on Luke, she is then forced to take on Luke’s offer. Wanting to keep her past and the secrets buried, Meagan is thrown into a whirlwind as she tries to comply with the blackmailer and at the same time keep her emotion in check when it comes to Luke.

#Exposure2

Several years have past when Luke knew that he shattered Meagan’s heart. After so many years have passed, Meagan was someone that he could not forget. Her taste. Her kiss. Her memory. Her touch. Her image. These were forever ingrained in Luke and so it was inevitable for these to finally cross that line. The BDSM lifestyle is something that both Meagan and Luke enjoy and soon these two will discover that mixing sex, pleasure, and feelings was going to expose the truth. The truth that this thing between them is something that cannot be denied. But what happens when Luke learns of Meagan’s secrets? Will Meagan continue to be the puppet of her blackmailer? Or will she be willing to let the truth be exposed?

#Exposure1

As much as I loved this series, I have to say that Meagan and Luke are my least favorite couple of this series. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed The Exposure but I found it to be a tad slow for my taste as compared to the previous book. But other than that, I still enjoyed this book as Tara Sue Me does what she does best. She eloquently and sophisticatedly weaves erotic romance with raw emotions. So if you are looking for a story that is an erotic romantic suspense then this book might be for you.

Fans of this brilliant Submissive Series have been anxiously waiting for Meagan’s story. She’s been a bit of an enigma—Abby’s boss and a switch. And they won’t be disappointed, one bit, in reading The Exposure.

Meagan’s at a bit of a crossroads. She loves her job—for the most part—but lately has been wondering if she’s really made the best decisions for herself in the long run. Given the opportunity to be photographed again by Luke DeVaan—coerced in part by an anonymous blackmailer, in part by their past unresolved history—Meagan soon learns that her body didn’t forget all the luscious things Luke made it feel so many years ago.

Luke is trying to keep things professional. He knew exactly who he wanted in front of his lens as soon as he accepted the job. But he thought it would be much more difficult to convince Meagan to do it—not that he’d be having such a time keeping his hands to himself.

But as the project rolls out, Luke and Meagan cannot deny that there is still a very strong attraction—both in between the sheets and out of them, but can they overcome the truth about Meagan’s willing participation once the more dangerous aspects of the extortionist are revealed?

Oh. My. Goodness. I loved this addition to the series. It was a bit darker, filled with more intrigue and angst, but plenty of very sensual and very sexy times. I love a good second-chance-romance, and this was excellent. Meagan and Luke are so very good together. Luke helps Meagan drop that hard façade and Meagan feeds into Luke’s dominant side, that protector that needs to command both in and out of the bedroom. I really enjoyed how the story unfolded—and thought I had it all figured out—boy, was I so far wrong it wasn’t funny. ~ Missy, 4.5 stars

“Meagan Bishop should have taken the paper cut as a sign.”

She really should have as that was the catalyst that set her on the road to the worst, and the best, situations to come…

Meagan seemed to be stuck in a job that was good but not what her heart really wanted. So many turning points brought her to this moment and there were more to come. With Luke, a love and a painful blast from her past, comes back into her life… At the same time a mysterious blackmailer threatens everything she has worked so hard for…

The chemistry between Meagan and Luke totally worked as they slowly began to rebuild their relationship. Missteps on both sides though have their renewed, but shaky, love at risk. Again…

This was a “whodunit” as well as a sexy romp, with emotions and drama feeding the story all the way through. If you’ve read this series than the great writing is no surprise. This story had a different tone than others in the series. It was emotional. It was sexy. It had so many good things that kept me entertained all the way through. I don’t want to compare it to other stories in the series but it was hard not to as I waited for the deep emotional pull and heartbeat that never quite hit. While these characters may not be my favorite in the series the story was solid and I will never say no to more! ~ Diane, 4 stars

Luke and Meagan’s story.

Former lovers reunite because of the mysterious Taskmaster.

But what captured me in this story is the character of Meagan as a submissive. She got sass. And Luke is a bit of a playful Dom.

Overall, a little different story in this BDSM-packed series.

I couldn't decide between three or four stars but I went with four because of how much I like this series so far. I didn't particularly care for Meagan being a victim and some of the issues were off putting but the intimacy scenes were hot but I still have conflicts about how I feel about the story over all.

There is a lot going on but everything felt a little numb and a little emotionally vacant despite the intensity of what's going on which I can't really say a lot about because it would spoil the thrill. Also not quite sure how I feel about the ending but I liked the book over all.

It is so nice when you find a series that continually delivers a good read. I have yet to be disappointed by a book in this series and we are nine books in at this point. I really enjoyed Megan and Luke’s story and I especially loved the bit of suspense thrown in.

Megan has never been my favorite character, so I was a bit hesitant for her to have a story. And while she still isn’t my favorite and I wanted to shake her for handling things how she did I really came to appreciate her. I especially appreciate the different kind of heroine she brings to the series. She is a switch and is definitely different from the other heroines we have seen in this series and I really liked that change. I also really liked how sarcastic she was and I also liked how successful she was at her job. I am all for smashing stereotypes.

Luke is actually one of my favorite guys from this series to date, which I wasn’t expecting going in. I don’t know what it was, but I just really liked him. As with any of the guys, there were moments where I wanted to scream at him and there was one scene in particular that made me ridiculously mad, but in the grand scheme of things I really kinda loved him. I always say with this series that I could never put up with some of the crap these guys pull but I love watching how it works so well for the couple and I like the different dynamic.

The chemistry between Luke and Megan was insane. I love a good second chance romance and this was exactly that. Tara Sue Me always delivers the steam and The Exposure was no exception. I also liked the suspense aspect thrown in. It added a nice additional plot line to the story.

All in all, The Exposure was a really enjoyable read. I really liked Luke and Megan and I hope to see more of them in the future.

I've read a few books in this series and have enjoyed them. For me this one was slow and a bit boring at times. I was interested in the couple but I just didn't really feel that connection or chemistry maybe. I don't know, something was missing.

Meagan has a bit drama from her past that she doesn't want made public. As she and Luke are getting to know each other again, she's being threaten. This story line kept me reading but honestly this book fell short for me.

I do recommend the books that I did read in this series, especially The Master (book 8). You don't have to read all the other books to read this book or any books in this series. I'm sure if I had started with book 1 I might have known a few of the minor characters better but overall it's not really needed.

REVIEW: THE EXPOSURE is the ninth full-length installment in Tara Sue Me’s contemporary, adult THE SUBMISSIVE erotic, BDSM romance series. This is Master/ artist photographer/ nightclub owner Luke DeVaan, and media corporation executive / switch submissive Meagan Bishop’s story line. THE EXPOSURE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Some of the previous story line characters play secondary and supporting roles including our original series couple Abby and Nathaniel West.

Told from dual third person points of view (Luke and Meagan) with an introductory and closing chapter through first person point of view (Abby West) THE EXPOSURE focuses on the rekindling relationship between photographer Master Luke DeVaan, and his former model Meagan Bishop. Fifteen years earlier our heroine posed for a series of nude photos for Luke DeVaan, and following one week of sexual pleasure where Luke introduced Meagan to the BDSM lifestyle, Luke walked out of Meagan’s life without a backwards glance. Fast forward to present day and Luke has been commissioned to photograph a series of BDSM images and wants Meagan to be his feature model. But threats of another nature place Meagan in a precarious position that forces our heroine to betray the man with whom she was once in love.

The relationship between Meagan and Luke is one of second chances but for Meagan there is the fear of another broken heart. Luke is a Master who wants his former lover and model to submit to his demands until he discovers that Meagan is hiding a secret that could destroy their relationship. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense. Luke likes to discipline with floggers and spanking.

The secondary and supporting characters include most of the previous story line couples as we await the birth of Dena and Jeff’s child (The Collar #6). We are introduced to Meagan’s brother Jake-a man with a dark and dangerous past that has come back to haunt our story line heroine.

THE EXPOSURE is a story of second chances; a rebuilding of a relationship destroyed fifteen years earlier that is once again threatened by sins of the past. The premise is imaginative; the characters are moving and sensual; the romance is passionate and intense. If you are a fan of the BDSM genre, the content is mild and limited to some bondage, submission and mild discipline. There are no hard –core lifestyle situations.

The newest addition to Tara Sue Me's Submissive series is a suspenseful second chance romance. Meagan may have thought she moved on, but she is still not over Luke and the way he left her life and heart in shambles years earlier. When he approaches her to take part in a BDSM photo shoot she says no as quickly and as firmly as possible. She wants nothing to do with Luke. That quickly changes when she is blackmailed by someone unknown person who threatens to expose pictures he took of her years ago. Now she has no choice but to agree to be his model. She figures she can also use this opportunity to get back at him for what he did fifteen years ago and get some revenge.

Luke, messed up years ago. He has never stopped thinking of Meagan. She is the perfect muse for his newest book project and he is determined to prove to her that he is changed and to make up for past wrongs. He agrees to just take her pictures and keep his hands off. They're both adults and after all this time, how hard can it be to keep things professional? Soon, all the old feelings and passion between Luke and Meagan come bubbling back up to the surface. Her plans to get revenge quickly fade and she is left with secrets she is not sure she'll be forgiven for keeping. Can they see their way through past mistakes and new secrets?

I really loved Tara Sue Me's Submissive series. In this newest volume we revisit our favorite characters and get to spend time with Meagan and Luke. I was rooting for them. I'm always a softy for second chance romances and these two definitely were deserving of a steamy happily ever after. As with all the books in this series the BDSM scenes are hot and well written. While not one of my favorites in the series, it was still very enjoyable and as always left me wanting more by the end. This can certainly be read as a standalone, but I'm pretty sure you'll have the urge to read the rest of the series when you finish so you can learn more about all of these great, engaging characters.

This was another amazing novel by Tara Sue Me. I couldn't put it down. I'm not sure I will ever get tired of reading about these characters. Each new novel she brings us with new characters, I fall in love with them almost instantly.

Meagan tried modeling for a very short time when she was fresh out of high school. She instantly fell for the photographer. He was handsome and opened her eyes to a new world involving her sexuality. But days after their affair began, he crushed her heart by telling her their relationship was a mistake. She didn't let on to Luke, but this devastated her. And it formed he path that her life would eventually take.

Luke thought he was doing the right thing by letting Meagan go all those years ago. He didn't think it would look good for a photographer so new to the business to immediately begin sleeping with his muse. So Ben thing he didn't want to, he let her go. They still saw each other from time to time, with both of them being involved in the BDSM lifestyle.

Now 15 years later, Luke has an offer for Meagan. One she doesn't want to refuse. To once again become his muse for a BDSM photo book. But Meagan is also being blackmailed for information regarding past models of Luke's. Meagan is torn because she needs to protect herself but she doesn't want to betray Luke's trust either. Will Meagan and Luke be able to find a way to make a true relationship work or with deceptions tear them apart for good? Don't miss out on another wonderful story in the Submissive Series.

Although the steamy parts were very steamy that's mostly all this book was. Unlike the rest of the Submissive series this book didn't really have a story line and for that reason was quite disappointed.

*3.5. So..it was actually really nice to see Meagan’s pov. Before this book, we knew her as Abby’s boss and friend. We got to see her in a new light and I really enjoyed that. I was also happy to read Luke’s pov. It’s not my favorite in the series, but it was pretty good.

Overview

She’s ready for her close-up. . . .

Meagan Bishop gave up modeling after an ill-fated tryst with a sexy photographer left her career and heart in shambles. When that same sexy shutterbug makes a titillating offer to do a BDSM spread for his new photography book, she’s determined to refuse—until an anonymous blackmailer entices her to accept. Now her body is again at the whim of the man who broke her heart, and she’s finding his strong direction undeniably intriguing. . . .

Meagan is the muse Luke needs to make his shoot something special, even if it means keeping his hands off her. But each new erotic scene they capture makes it harder to ignore his need to command her in the bedroom as well as in the studio.

As their sexual tension explodes, Meagan’s arrangement with her extortionist becomes more perilous, putting in danger her darkest secrets and the fragile passion between Luke and her. . .

My Thoughts

I do so love being in the world of Abby and Nathaniel and all their friends, and from what little we knew of Meagan before, it's nice to get more of her story now. That and the story of Luke. We knew that there was a past history between them, and it was certain that our author would take us to the edges of understanding exactly what that was.

When we start off this story, it's Abby who brings Luke back into the picture, literally after finding magazine covers that Meagan had done when she was a model, and the photographer had been Luke. We learned that she had a steamy weekend romance with him when she did that shoot and it all ended quite abruptly and there was no closure. So years later when she's faced with those pictures and the fact that Luke is involved in their circle of people, well you know that there's going to be something more that comes of it, good or bad.

Luke has been commissioned to help shoot a coffee table book that features erotica models since the man who wants to do the book saw some of his shots and was impressed. So meagan is drafted to be the model since Luke can't imagine anyone else doing it, and because of circumstances, Meagan is convinced to do it.

Those circumstances being that she's being blackmailed and part of the demands are to get information from Luke. So you can guess by this point that not only are we going to see tensions and chemistry explode once these two are forced back together, but knowing that there's a bit of dishonesty as to why she's doing it, and the anxiety that she has for what she's got to lose if she's not able to do what the blackmailer wants....It's going to be hot and intense.

The journey that we go on with these two is seeing whether it was stupid for them to have ended things years ago (well, stupid of Luke since he did it) and if there's still something there. We know that there's amazing chemistry as Luke has some insane abilities with ropes and just the ability to make Meagan do all the naughty things that he wants. It's hot and it's steamy and you can see why they have gravitated back to each other years later.

The question becomes what's going to happen when the secret comes out since you know that Meagan will put her foot down and stop filling the demands of the blackmailer and what will Luke's reaction be. there's also the question of WHO the blackmailer is and what's at stake. I think that we almost guess who it is at one point only to realize that we were wrong because Meagan is put in danger. Will Luke come to save her at this point?

the nice thing about this series is that there are so many women in the group that Meagan is never alone and will have a squad of girls to support her. Same goes for Luke as there are all the men who come along with the ladies. Seeing how they rally around each other is really sweet, especially knowing what they've all been through in each of their own stories. I feel like there's still so much more to learn about them all, especially with the teaser of Kate (cole's ex slave) coming back into the mix - so i can't wait to see what's next.

I just want to say what a great series this is and each book can standalone but it also incorporates characters from prior books. In this story Luke needs a model and he really wants Meagan but he broke her heart years ago when she modeled for him and just when they got close he told her it was a bad idea. Meagan was going to tell Luke no because she didn't think she could work with him and not break what's left of her heart but then she gets the threatening email from the Taskmaster. The Taskmaster wants her to get dirt on Luke and she is really having a hard time but he swears he will expose what her brother did all those years ago please he has nude pictures of her that he will broadcast. Meagan and Luke are into the BDSM life and he is a Dom and she is a switch but for Luke she loves being a submissive. Everyday she and Luke are growing closer and closer but with the Taskmaster asking for more and more she doesn't know how much she can take or if Luke catches her the relationship will be over. I really enjoyed how strong Meagan was and how she could just give herself up to be a submissive for Luke. Luke learned a lot over the years and he seems to have a handle on Meagan but does he really?

Tara Sue Me has written an amazing series with her Submission Series. This ninth book in the series, 'The Exposure', is just as great as the other books, focusing on a new couple within her BDSM community. I have read the first four books so I was familiar with many of the characters and it was nice to see all of them incorporated into this new book!

Meagan Bishop is a news executive that works with Abby from the original Submission books. Technically Meagan is Abby’s boss, but also a friend from the BDSM community. She is what they call a "switch" which in their lingo means she is a submissive as well as a dominant. It all depends on what she is feeling for the day. Meagan used to be a model, specifically a nude model for none other than Luke DeVann, a popular photographer. When she first posed for Luke, their little one week romance turned upside down when Luke ditched her, but now he is back and wanting her to model 17 years later for a new BDSM advertisement book.

Luke DeVann, the well known photographer and BDSM club owner, was brought into this series in Abby and Nathaniel’s books. He owns several clubs and Nathaniel actually went into business with him and they are currently working on a new club build. Luke needs a model for an advertisement magazine and the only person he can think that he wants is Meagan, because even after 17 years he still cannot get her off of his mind. Yes they see each other every once in a while since Meagan attends one of his clubs and with some past incidents, but never did these two imagine working together. Little does Luke know, Meagan has a blackmailer that basically pushed her to work with Luke for some information.

Meagan and Luke Burned up the sheets in this book. Even though they are only working together, neither of them can forget that amazing week they spent together 17 years ago that actually taught Meagan about BDSM. If she hadn’t had those moments with Luke, she wouldn't be into the scene at all. Her blackmailer wants information on Luke, but she just wants to be dominated by the man who stole her heart all those years ago.

Tara definitely knows how to write a steamy book and make you feel as though you are right there with the characters. I love how all of her past characters in each of the books played a part in Meagan and Luke’s story and everything still flowed together, even though it went to different characters!

Solid 4 stars!!

This book I didn't enjoy as much. I feel like maybe the author tried to do something new to make it more interesting? Which didn't work for me but lets starts with the things that I liked. I enjoyed Luke's laid back personality and how Meagan was dealing with things that we worry about like sweating, having a clean bathroom, expired food(funny scene) and a few other things that I don't remember. Not sure if it's a spoiler but Jeff's and Dena's baby. So happy for them. :D Oh also how Meagan was a switch.
Now for the bad. Well I feel like the Taskmaster was only there to cause a problem between Meagan and Luke. I can see why the guy did what he did but at the same time without him there wouldn't have been a problem between them other than that they wouldn't have gotten back together. Also I know they had feelings for each other but it seemed like they quickly gave in especially Meagan. I mean she was the one who did get her feelings hurt. Then there is the the thing with her brother. Ok SPOILERS till the end since I have forgotten how to hide a part of my review. I felt like he was there for one reason and one reason only. To give Meagan problems and add to why she couldn't just tell Luke. Then at the end he just decides to finally go to rehab. Like really? No conversation?I don't believe that. I felt like it was done just to tie it all nicely since we were towards the end. Also the way Luke decided to go with getting Meagan to tell the truth felt unnecessary. It was kind of random. And the last thing was how he knew what she was always thinking. I guess it bother me because it came up quite often and I don't think you can you know your partner's thoughts 100 percent. But then again you can tell when your partner is lying or their turn ons since you known them.
So yeah it made me stop caring for their relationship sadly as I continued reading.

The Exposure is book nine in the Submissive series by Tara Sue Me. It is the first of the series I have read and the other books were not required reading for you to enjoy this book!

This is Luke and Meagan's story.

Luke and Meagan have a history. Luke photographed Meagan for work years ago, and then they were lovers. It was a very short fling and it was a hard break-up for both. Years pass and Luke and Meagan are finally talking again. Luke is working on a coffee table photo book on BDSM and knows Meagan would be the best person for the modeling job. He asks her about it.

Meagan is hesitant to do the job for Luke. She still has unresolved feelings for Luke and really doesn't want to go down that road again. But then someone called the Taskmaster, blackmails her to do his bidding, and accept the modeling job.

I love the second chance at love story and this one ticked all the right boxes! Mystery, drama, sexy time-what more do you want?? The characters had a history and once they were reunited, their chemistry leapt from the pages! I loved them together and don't understand how they could've stayed away from each other for fifteen years! They couldn't stay away from each other even for a few days! I also enjoyed reading about their photo sessions for the book! Talk about steamy!! Meagan is a switch which means she can play a dominate and also play a submissive depending on her mood. Luke is a dominate and he doesn't seem interested in ever being a submissive. I enjoyed their dynamic! This is a very light BDSM book that would be perfect for a first read in the genre.

4 stars/4 flames

This book was gifted to me by the Jeep Diva for the express purpose of an honest review.

*****3.5 STARS*****
The Exposure, book nine in the Submissive Series, is a impassioned interlude to a seductively scorching series. Ms. Sue Me has built an intricate world with many contrasting elements. Each detail a necessary fragment of the ensemble. Each story and every personality required to deliver the desired work of art. Although this was not my favorite book of the series, I enjoyed it nonetheless and its a must read in the progression. Personally, I can't wait for the next installment of this camaraderie I've fallen head over heels in love with.

Megan Bishop and Luke DeVaan have been intriguing auxiliary characters since the early chapters of the Submissive Saga and I loved getting inside their heads. Having been presented as double-entendres up until this point, I was excited at the prospect of peeling back their layers. I was drawn to them as characters and love the smattering of suspense sprinkled into this plot. The entire cast was there and its always a pleasure to be reunited with characters that feel like family at this point. Tara writes intensely steamy sex scenes and this book was no different. Once again illustrating that BDSM encompasses as many different facets as it does people, the lifestyle isn't always what it appears to be from the outside looking in. It's easy to look through the lens and assume, but sometimes the illusion isn't even close to the truth...

In life as is photography, we need the negatives to develop, and its The Exposure that predisposes the proof.

I enjoyed this book so much...it was exactly what I love to read!!

Meagan was a model sixteen years ago and after a short affair with her photographer, Luke she doesn't model anymore. She thought they had something special but he ended it so abruptly, apparently it wasn't everything she thought it was. Although she still has feelings for him, she puts on a good front when she sees him. Now Luke is back and wants her to model for his BDSM book that he's doing. Meagan agrees to try one session and see how that goes. She's over him, right? Maybe not!

Luke is a photographer and had a short affair with Meagan years ago. He was advised that he shouldn't be having any sort of affair with her because of his career (you can't sleep with everyone you photograph, right?), so he listened and ended it. However, he still craves her and contacts her to do a spread for him in his new book. He didn't realize how hard it would be to keep his hands off her. He introduced her to the BDSM world way back then and she was an amazing submissive. Will he be able to keep it professional with her, or will he give in to his cravings/feelings?

Not only was this a hot book, I loved the characters and the story had way more than just sex! There was a good amount of mystery and some deception thrown in there. Great story and I look forward to reading more by Tara Sue Me!

I just can't get enough of this series. I love the characters, the relationships and respect as friends they have for one another.

Meagan hadn't gotten over the breakup she had with Luke fifteen years ago. They met when he was starting out as a professional photographer and he was her model. He cares for her a great deal, but was afraid that being involved with a model would look bad for his career.

When Luke came back into her life fifteen years later and asked her to work on his new book she thought it would be a great way to get back at him. She set out to get under his skin and walk away like he'd done to her and finally get her revenge.

As they spent time together she realized her plan wouldn't work. Then secrets from her families past started to resurface and she was afraid to confide in Luke. Luke prides himself on honesty and Meagan knew that she let too much time go on and there was no way she could tell Luke her secrets. However secrets have a way of surfacing....

A bit thrilling, a lot sensual, The Exposure is a great addition to the Submissive series!

Meagan and Luke knew each other years ago when photographer Luke took then-model Meagan's pictures, and the two had a heated interlude that led to Meagan getting hurt. When he comes back asking for her to model for his new book, she's reluctant until she starts getting blackmailed.
Their modeling sessions soon turn steamy. Even though Meagan is known as a switch, she's all submissive for Luke. This is an emotional read, I loved getting to know their backstory, and seeing them grow as both people and as a couple. One thing I didn't like was the ending seemed a bit rushed to me. Otherwise, a fantastic book, and I can't wait to see what couple is up next in this scintillating series!
A huge thank you to the author and publisher for a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a wonderful addition to the Submissive Series. The Author did an amazing job of picking up the strings of small stories from her previous books and weaving them into a new tale that moved the story forward but still provided enough information so a new reader did not feel lost.

Master DeVaan and Meagan have history - that much is obvious to anyone who sees them but what exactly did they do to each other? This is their story and their second chance. The story has plenty of suspense and wild twists and turns combined with the hot scene we have come to expect from Ms Sue Me.

Meagan is a model and Luke is a photographer shooting her for a photo spread. Things get heated between them but Luke doesn't think it looks good to be in a relationship with her because she's his model and he's her photographer. Set out for revenge Meagan is back in the picture but a blackmailer is set out to destroy her and Meagan has to turn to Luke for help. Will this spark another flame? This is part of a series but can be read as s standalone

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far, however I could not get into this book, no matter how hard I tried. I was so disappointed that this story was not for me. I felt that it was extremely slow paced and failed to excite me in the way the previous books had. I was also completely turned off by Luke. I just didn't like him at all. I was so sorry that I could not continue with the series that I have enjoyed this much.

Luke & Meagan's story is a second chance romance with suspense that kept me wanting more.
I always enjoy getting to see all of the Partners In Play couples and where they are in their relations, too.

The Exposure is book nine in Tara Sue Me’s erotic romance series, Submissive. By now in most series I’ve lost interest in the premise yet with this series I keep coming back for more. Maybe this is because the story line manages to stay the same yet vary widely from book to book. The author keeps reinventing the books with new characters, each bringing a steamy story to the mix while still delivering the core love story.

Meagan is many things in life, a successful businesswoman, a friend, a boss, an ex model, a submissive and a dominant depending on her mood. Yet she feels unfulfilled and has no idea what is missing. She seemingly has it all already. When Luke, a photographer from her past, bursts back into her life with an idea to revisit her modeling career she’s quick to shut him down. He’s the one who got away, the one who showed her the beauty in submission, the heart who broke her heart. His persistence seems intent on a lot more than simply securing her to model for his erotic photography book, he seems to want to secure her heart as well.

Years ago Luke made a very bad decision. He walked away from Meagan. Now she’s back in his life and he’s determined to convince her to stay with him. His success in the photography world and as a business owner has led to the realization that he’s missing something the rest of his friends have already found, a partner. The sweet gift of submission from the one who got away is something he’ll have to fight for because he’s not the only one who has Meagan in their line cross-hairs.

I really enjoyed the storyline The Exposure presented me with. Meagan was a complex character, both submissive and dominant who sparkled on the page as a woman who craved life yet had a hard time achieving her true desires. Be that in the BDSM world or in her personal life. Her true contentment may have come in submission but the only man to get her there was Luke, With Luke she could breathe easier and get out of her own way in other aspects of her life too. She felt free and able to think clearly on what her goals should ultimately be and how she wasn’t content in other areas of her life either.

Luke was your typical dominant man, short on patience, demanding and unbending. Yet when this should have annoyed me, I craved it. Loved it like Meagan most certainly did. He knew upfront the mistake he’d made letting her go the first time around and made amends accordingly this time. He didn’t make mistake after mistake until he finally got it. He knew his grievance, he set out to amend it. His talent as a photographer took a backseat to his need to make sure Meagan was taken care of.

The usage of photography is always a page scorcher for me. I love the idea of seeing life differently through a lens and felt the heat between the two flare brighter each time Luke picked up his camera. The subtle nuances that a camera can capture truly depict the person it’s trained on. The beauty in a snapshot can forever be admired and the feeling it evokes forever be felt each time someone sees it.

The only thing about this book I had an issue with was the build up throughout to who seemed to be stalking Meagan and making heinous threats against her. They built as the book progressed but I was a bit let down as to how it all ended. I wanted it to be more than it was… For that reason I dropped the rating a star. Otherwise The Exposure had everything I craved in an erotic romance.

I give The Exposure by Tara Sue Me 3.50 stars!

I'm not totally sure where to start with this one, so bear with me.

Something about the pairing between Meagan and Luke has always felt off to me, and maybe it's because there have been so many books so far in this series about their animosity. It's not like early Jeff and Dena, which felt more sad. Meagan and Luke were guns-blazing mad toward each other and so to suddenly have that resolved in a romance just...it feels weird. Even if I understand the history between them.

Not that the story didn't pull it off fairly well. Meagan is sassy and spunky, which makes her reliance on Luke all the more satisfying. Luke, strong and incredibly observant, always knows how far to push Meagan and in what ways. I liked seeing his more artistic side, as that gives him a different characteristic than the other men in the series.

Still, I didn't feel like I got to know Meagan and Luke as well as I got to know some of the other couples in their own standalone books. Like Cole and Sasha, who we had also met earlier in the series before they got their own book.

Maybe it's because the plot to this one was external from their relationship, whereas Cole and Sasha's wasn't. Meagan is dealing with a blackmailer who wants her to dig up some dirt on Luke. She reluctantly agrees before she discovers that she's in way over her head. I did really like the plot, even if it left Meagan too much in her own head at times.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely liked the book. Just probably not one of the better ones in this series. Then again, it's really hard to win me over after Sasha and Cole.
