Louis wakes up in the middle of the night to find that both his wife and daughter are missing. Outside is complete chaos - the streets are being overrun with the undead. Louis attempts to find his family, but for some reason, the lobby has been closed off and he can't get out. And something else seems off...
I was expecting a quick, fun zombie story. It is that, but it is also much more. A great, quick read!
Breakout is a zombie novella but it has an interesting take on it. I won't say exactly what that twist is though because guessing what is going on is part of the fun. I liked how there were different strangers of different ages but all with something in common and all shared their story of how they ended up together. I could have used maybe a little more background on the bad guys but then again all we need to know is they are bad right? It does move very fast but has to since it is only 73 pages long.
Louis wakes up in the middle of the night to find that his wife and daughter are missing and a zombie outbreak has occurred. He bands up with others and they realize this is not their building. It is some sort of laboratory. louis finds out his wife is the scientist in charge of the zombie outbreak and kills her, he escapes and rushes home to find his daughter.
Interesting zombie apocalypse story. Found most of the characters very likable but the villain was a bit cliche. Sort of Resident Evil-ish. enjoyable quick read though.
