'The Billionaire's Love Story' consists of 9 installments which vary in length from 25K-45K words. All 9 have now been published.
A Christmas Day surprise ensures that Savannah and Jacob enjoy a wonderful Christmas. But working during the holidays doesn't turn out to be as easy as she expected.
Seeking to keep himself occupied during this difficult time, Tobias returns to the office but surprise visits and too many questions test his resolve.
What happens when the billionaire with too much money, meets the single mom with too much heart?
Lily Zante is the author of over sixty contemporary romance and women's fiction novels. After spending two decades working in IT, she decided to give writing another try. Given her love of The Walking Dead, she started off writing zombie fiction but quickly dove into writing romance instead. She's glad she switched.
The more I read of Lily's work the more I am loving it. Her writing just gets better and better. This is the second book in the series and I am completely taken by Savannah and Tobias. Lily has done such a lovely job with these characters that you can't help but fall for them and want to continue reading about them. Tobias has closed himself off since the loss of his wife and can't figure out why he is so interested in Savannah. Savannah is just trying to keep to herself and keep her job, but she also can't help but find herself thinking of Tobias. You find out a little bit more about how he lost his wife and it starts to make more sense why he's so closed off. With Savannah still working at Stone Ind things are getting confusing for both him and her as he is still trying to keep that hard exterior but he still can't help but be drawn to her. Neither of them seem to be able to say the right thing. I love how she is writing the beginnings of their relationship, how Savannah doesn't bow down to him just because he his the owner of the company. She sticks her ground and stays true to herself. Tobias doesn't seem to know what to make of her and why seeing her in different situations make him feel the way it does. I so loved how this one ended. I'm so loving this series, even though they are written like novellas it is still keeping me interested. I am so excited to see how it all series plays out. Only have to way a couple of weeks for the next one!!
In The Gift, Book 2 Savannah and Jacob receive a Christmas Day surprise gift delivered to their apartment from Tobias. Tobias sends Jacob his choice of toy from the toy store and Savannah gets a giant gift basket of food with fully cooked meals and much more.
Savannah continues to work at Stone Enterprises through the Christmas holiday when most of the other employees are off for Christmas break. Tobias works too and finds Jacob has come to work with her when she has no childcare. He requests for her temporary position to be extended, welcomes Jacob at work and makes sure she gets her pay before Christmas although he tries to keep it from her.
They continue with the attraction for each other growing along with her reluctance to get close to him. I love the emotions that each feels but hides and how close they are to each other's feelings. The story continues in The Gift, Part 3.
Never thought I would like reading on the installment plan.
Never not even ever would I purposefully purchase a book like this ....until now. I sit waiting with bated breath anxiously awaiting the next installment. Lily Z. has grabbed me by the eye balls and seduced me with this storyline. The character development is alluring and captivating. I feel like I know the characters personally and really care about them. The way each segment ends is unique to my experience. There isn't an obvious build up to a cliff hanger where you're just left hanging but a mesmerising glide where you don't feel the end coming until all of a sudden you're there and your only thought is how quickly can I download the next installment?
I received this book for an honest review. This is Part 2 of 3, you must read these in order for them to make sense to you. I must say Lily has done it again! This is about Savannah and Tobias, she works as a temp in his company and it starts to get complicated. I like to think in book 3, they will work it out satisfactorily, but only Lily knows for sure. I personally love her writing, I find it refreshing, although in some of her stories we have some love scenes, I don't find them offensive, sometimes steamy is better. They can get HOT, but not trashy. This is, or will be another hit for Lily Zante.
I received this Arc of The Gift 2, with only the promise of a honest review in exchange. Lily's books are wonderful, and the Gift series is a must read. Love the instant chaos and banter of Tobias and Savannah. Can't wait to see them get their acts together and become the couple I vision them to be.
This is Part 2 of 3, you need read these in order so you will understand what has happened and why. This is a quick, fast paced, fun read. This story just gets better and better. I am really enjoying following the relationship between Savannah and Tobias, one step forward but then two steps back. I can't wait to see what Ms Zante has planned in the next book. I recommend this book and series.
Savannah got the Christmas and Jacob had it even better. Now she is getting her temp contract extended and that is helping. She accidentally glad Tobias friend his wife and her got upset, but they are working it out.
This second installment mostly focuses on the various uncomfortable results of Tobias and Savannah interacting with each other. Unresolved tension met with some practical addresses and there is still an uneasiness to deal with.
Love is blossoming between Tobias and Savannah in the second edition of the Gift. Tobias finds himself drawn to Savannah and her son. It is a heartfelt read that kept me glued to the pages.
I love Matthias holy crap! He is funny personable and gives off golden retriever vibes!
This book was not what I was expecting for this one. Had no idea that Tobias had a wife but it definitely makes me understand his misdemeanor and general outlook on life...interested to see how this story wraps up
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I read this, as part of the boxed set. Having found a temp job,, with an immediate start, Savannah is thrust into various ackward situations, normally involving Tobias Stone. There's a tension between the two, but nothing physical happens with them.
This book is being released in parts and so far the story is great. Lily Zante is a great storyteller and develops great characters. I just wish the parts were longer or it was released as one whole book so I can finish the story and see how it ends! I can't wait for the next release.
I typically LOVE Ms. Zante's short stories. "The Gift Book #2" is a bit slower than the other short stories I've read by her. I am enjoying Savanah and Tobias's story. It's a bit slow but I like how it is unfolding.
