AREA 51 is missing some highly classified material… Josh Baker and Eddie Debord are the first responders to a sixty-year-old undiscovered airplane crash deep within the West Virginia forests. Exploring the wreckage, they discover a material in the cargo hold that behaves in a way they had never seen before and seems to defy… known physics. After learning that much more of the shipment is missing, the Feds move in and take control—sternly making it clear that the information surrounding this crash is highly classified and a matter of national security. So, why does it smell like a conspiratorial coverup? Continually persecuted by the feds for what they saw and thinking the CIA and these men in dark suits could be their worst nightmare, Josh and Eddie could not have been more wrong. The Russian SVR unit will stop at nothing to claim what they say is theirs, and they are swift to prove it. Only the old man can help them locate the missing element—but who is he? And how does he know so much? ...Be careful wishing for big adventures… one may find you!"...even better than the first one. Extremely interesting and gripping story...""...I read much of this book with eyes wide and not realizing I was holding my breath..."
Josh Baker and his best friend Eddie Debora are out on a camping trip in the West Virginia Mountains. While trekking through the woods they come across and old airplane, a C-47 Skytrain. The plane contains a mysterious cargo from Area 51 ( a secret military area in Nevada, US. Turns out the plane crashed in 1953. They are intrigued by the mystery but may have bitten off more than they can chew this time. They call on the Lt Governor, who knows them from their last adventure, to call the right people in the government to pick up the plane and check the cargo area. They are thinking to just let this one go but a mysterious old man comes to talk to them that is connected to the plane. The National transportation bureau is involved and the CIA as well as some Russian agents. What could be so important on this plane? Well Josh and Eddie feel they have to find out! Crazy adventures. Fun series.
This is the second book in this series by Steve Kittner. Since I retired I have read everything from O’Reillys Killing Series to Steven King and other great authors. Steve is in their league. An author in this day and age that can write with no curse words, major killings and keep you interested is someone on a different level. His books are an easy read and keep you interested throughout the book. Cannot wait to read his next one in the series.
This writer is fast becoming one of my favorites. Following the adventures of these three boys, the twists and turns, suspense and heartwarming characters makes the book hard to put down....and clean the house!!
Steve kittner has a unique form of telling a story. He makes Josh, Eddie, and Brad seem to be life like the kids next door. Their adventures are interesting.
...for Steve Kittner and the bunch of WV folk just doing their thing, enjoying a quiet, small town life. The previous adventure fading into the most of the time, this book takes readers three years from The Southern Jewel. Their town may be small, but it's about to get a lot of visitors, some from as far away as Russia! Enjoy, I sure did.
