Kelly Black is obsessed with her boss, not in a crazy stalker way but in a I love him from afar way. Actually he's her boss's boss & he doesn't know she exists. One night after an office party Kelly leaves & discovers she has a flat tire so she takes off her heels & starts changing it herself. Rick McAllister is a gorgeous, rich successful businessman who never gets involved with employees. Until he sees the beautiful, curvy woman changing her own tire in his business' parking garage. After helping her with the tire he is shocked to hear she has worked for him for a year. How did he not see this gorgeous woman before today if she's been at his company for a year ? Kelly obviously wants Rick but she's concerned about her career, she doesn't want to be known as someone who sleeps their way to the top. They start a relationship & Rick agrees to keep it secret so he can protect her reputation. Things are going great until Kelly gets a text from an unknown number that simply says, "I Know". They've been so careful, so who could possibly know their secret ?

Short, sweet and oh so steamy love story. Triple Check.
Honestly, I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting into when I picked this book up to read it earlier. I only knew it was going to be a short read and it definitely was. It was paced quite quickly, but honestly, it was sweet.
Kelly has been crushing pretty hard on her boss's boss for like ever, though up until the beginning of this story it's been from afar as they've never had the pleasure of meeting. But once they do, once Rick sees his woman, the chemistry, the need and the want, well it's off the charts. He's consumed by her just as much as she is with him, and with the emotional got wrenching reads I've been reading lately, it was a nice switch.
Loved it. All of it. Will definitely be checking out more from this author in the future.

I loved this short quick read by Alana Sapphire. It was hot, and I want more.
Who doesn't love steamy office sex? This is different than the authors other books, but I loved it just as much. I wouldn't mind getting more Rick and Kelly.

I fell in love with Rick right from the beginning. By the way, where can I get one of him for my own? He made himself who he was by sleeping around and not getting attached and not dating anyone from the company. Kelly is a determined young woman who has had a thing for her boss's boss. She also lived by a rule when she works, no dating a co-worker and just to maintain friendships with whoever she encounters. Until one day they cross paths and things change for them both.
Kelly is a strong willed character, I love how Alana makes her females come off as strong and independent, that's what got me hooked on her writing in the first place. Rick is a soft but rather demanding male, yet another quality I love about her work. Her ability to throw in a bit of a twist in this book made me read the whole thing in 1 sitting. I would have loved to have read more about them. I am looking forward to reading more from Alana in the future. Keep up the good work!

ALANA DOES IT AGAIN!! WOW!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ALANA'S BOOKS! This one definitely doesn't disappoint.Rick sound delicious and Kelly sounds so sweet, kind and a little sexually adventurous. Lol. Which is too tempting for Rick to pass up and he realizes he can't nor does he want too pass her up. Their chemistry is so FREAKIN HOT! It may just set your panties on fire. Lol. They make it a point to hide their growing relationship, especially the people from work but when Rick finally realizes he's falling in love he doesn't want to hide his feelings for her anymore. And it just keeps getting better. I highly recommend this book and all of Alana's books to everyone. She never disappoints me.

Im usually not a fan of office romance's but I have to say this one was really good! Rick is Kellys boss and these two are dynamite together, this is a short story with lots of sexiness and just a great story!! It was funny and had its omg moments! I really enjoyed it!!

A quick enjoyable read with a typical formula. Could have done with some filling out to make it longer (especially the mystery part of the story) as two brief mentions wasn’t enough.

More than I expected!
I was expecting this book to be so good. Novellas are a hit and miss in my book. But this one had good character build. I couldn't put it down. It just pulls you in. The sex is WOW! Rex and Kelly are awesome. For a good short read get it it's worth it. I was given an ARC but liked it so much I bought the book.

As soon as I started I knew I was about to fall in love. Like alana style pulls you right in. Absolutely loved Rick. He was the perfect alpha. Such a wonderful love story it's a fast read but so so good. Didn't think I could love another one of alana's book as much as I loved the death dealers series. But I sure did. Another hit from alana.

Cute short read. Kelly has a secret She has a thing for the boss. Rick has no idea who Kelly is. But once he notices the two are pulled together. They struggle with the rules they set for themselves. An outside source is bent on destroying what they have. Nice quick read.

If you're looking for a fast and sexy read, In The Dark will hit that sweet spot! It was completely different from this author's Death Dealers series, but who doesn't love an office romance? This book was completely fun and I wouldn't mind seeing more of Kelly & Rick! Enjoy!

Good book
I really enjoyed this novella. It was different from what I have been reading lately. It was cheerful and light.
Alana Sapphire sure knows how to keep you interested.
