This is a fantastic book for anyone interested in backgammon. While it’s geared toward beginners and doesn’t delve into advanced strategies, its true strength lies in exploring the game itself, along with the vibrant community and culture surrounding it. I really enjoyed the perspective it offers, and it deepened my appreciation for the game. If you’re new to backgammon or just curious about the world around it, this book is a great read that will make you fall in love with the game all over again.

This is the first backgammon book I've read. I learned a lot. I don't have anything to compare it to, except once long ago I tried to read a different backgammon book and did not get beyond the first few pages.

So it held my attention, I got better at backgammon, and am probably going to read it once more.

This book was very informative, yet it was light. A complete beginner can open it and follow the theory without becoming confused with technical jargon. Not because he doesn't use technical speak but because everything is explained so throughly.
