1. Soy, tempeh... Is not an option for women who survive breast cancer because some of the chemicals look kinda like estrogen. So I try to avoid. 2. All the gluten! I found that flour or gluten caused me huge problems with pmt. I stopped eating gluten and all my hormone issues went away. 3. All these carbs especially sugar is nothing but a nightmare for your body. It feeds cancers, it eventually causes Alzheimer's, obesity, diabetes, fatty liver... 4. What the h... Is vegan margarine? Yeh I guess this diet might cause you to lose weight... After it's killed you.
As a cook, I was a bit disappointed at the amount of processed prepackaged ingredients required in some of the dishes. I liked the variety provided and I plan to make a few, but I was most disturbed by the lack of editing with the grammar. It’s one thing to do a spell check, it’s another thing to do a grammar check.
Some of the recipes have hard to find product and leaves no substitution so you're not given alternatives to use. Not all of us have access to exotic items.
Freebie download from Amazon - I was amused by the hyperbolic recipe names. It's fairly basic and a nice entry level collection of recipes for folks just transitioning to veganism.
Some recipes have so many ingredients it's mind boggling. A few require ingredients not readily available unless you live in/near a large city. Peanut butter cookies with three different types of flour, including sorghum? Pass. The book is okay if you're a newbie vegan cook.
