The characters are so colourful and well-developed, it really makes the story stand out! I love it when a character sticks with you, when their turn of phrase really adds to the scene, and Daniel James really pulls this off.
The world Ella Jackson is set in is complex and has its own culture, rules, etc; which really adds to the realism and the sense of being drawn into the story as you read it.
Recommend to those who love sci fi!
