Dirty is perfect lead into Dirty Little Lies, the first book in the Quick and Dirty series.
Dirty gives you the goods behind Gabe Shannon and how everything started.
He’s thrown into the world of kink and found his “dirty” side. Let’s just say he quickly found his wants, desires and limitations.
All the while learning that you never know what you like you til you try it.
Awesome novella and definitely will pique your interests about this series.

I adore Clare James, her erotic stories are volcanic in temperature and leave me gasping for breath and grasping my wine glass for hydration. The gal has mad skills. I enjoyed reading Gabe's story as much as I did the first two books of this series. Read them all if you haven't yet, and anything else of Ms. James that you can lay your hands on. She has earned her spot on my naughty favorites list for life.

This series starts with Tash & Gabe. Tash is a stripper who helps Gabe with the impotency that has been plaguing him since his wife passed away. Impotency is often seen as something that makes a man lacking, or un-manly. It doesn't seem to ditract from the sexiness of Gabe in anyway, but maybe that has more to do with Tash and her leading him down the path of sex magnet that he was destined to become.

Not and steamy
"The Rules" is the first story I've read by Clare James. It was a hot and steamy erotic novella introducing what I can imagine it's going to be a very steamy series. It was a fun entertaining read and a nice way to kick off the story. I'm interested to see where she takes this series.
If you are a fan of erotica, this is a great add to your collection.

The was a good beginning to the Fun and Games series. I liked Tash very much and wished they their ending together could be different than it was but sometimes things don’t always go as planned. Gabe was going through a rut and the only person that helped him out of it was Tash. To me, they were good together, but now I’m interested who the blonde is at the end. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I got this ebook free after purchasing something else. I'm glad it was free because it wasn't what I was expecting. I've never quite read a book like this. There is absolutely no romance. It was a stripper helping a guy past his ED problem. That wasn't really a big problem because it came up the first night. 2 women can do that to a guy I guess. There was no backstory, and no emotional connection. It was entertaining, but not a series I need to move forward with. It wasn't for me.

I am certainly getting addicted to the Fun and Games series. Another page turner! I love Gabe. To read about what happened before he met Stevie helped put his character in a better perspective. I still stand by my comment, he is perfectly imperfect. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

Beginning of this book made the character seem very weak and yet no real back story. It confused me as to why these two were friends in the first place and never felt the connection they were to have with each other. Story did help to see where the future of the series could go. Not for me I guess.

I read this prequel after the first book - The List, as it is called now. Don't read this first or it will spoil some of the best of The List. The Rules is the story of how Gabe got his groove back and was able to get back to living after losing his wife. OK. He finds out he likes being in charge. Really? The sex isn't that dirty, but ok.
This also could use some good copy editing.

Review:
It was getting late and I wanted a short book to read and relax me before I went to bed. This was not the book that I should have read to put me to sleep. The exciting exploits of Tash and Gabe as they explore and enjoy the world of BDSM Clubbing, in the attempt to fix Gabe’s problem getting “little Gabe” back up, also woke me up.
This is a funny short story full of sex as we watch Gabe get back into the game. His sex drive is gone, not that he doesn’t want sex. Oh, he most certainly does. It just that his equipment is not cooperating, making it hard (not the right word) to achieve his goal. After the girl he loved dumps him, things get soft. His attention to his business, personal appearance as well as his package. Doctors, and therapy don’t help. Tash, his new stripper friend may have a cure to his problem.
If you want a good laugh and an exciting sexual read, this is a great book. This is a prequel to the Quick and Dirty series, and can be read as a stand alone. You may be like me however and want to read the rest of this fun series.

Dirty introduces us to Gabe Shannon, a widower whose libido has been on vacation for more than two years. Almost as bad, the young entrepreneur's businesses have also been in a holding pattern, and if they get any more stagnant they just might flatline. Something has to be done, and soon.
He quits drinking (but not hanging out in strip clubs, since he's still hoping to fix problem #1), makes sure his problem isn't medical, and starts seeing a shrink. Then he decides it's time to get serious.
In the meantime he's met and befriended Tash, a stripper at his favorite strip club, and she's long been offering to fix his problem for him--all he has to do is keep and open mind. He's not quite sure what to expect, but after yet another non-productive session on Dr. Fieldin'g couch, he finally decides to go for it.
Tash takes Gabe on a series of erotic-themed field trips, and lo and behold, things appear to be (ahem) looking up. He's inspired to try his hand a new business, and it looks like he may finally get the one-on-one time with Tash he'd been craving but unable to enjoy up until that point. Things are finally looking up.
But Tash always insisted she wasn't the one for him...will she fix him or leave him even more broken?
Dirty is an intro novella, giving us a slice of Gabe's life before book one in the series, Dirty Little Lies starts. HOT HOT HOT!!!
Dirty is the prequel novella to the Quick and Dirty series so it's job is to give you the background as to how Club Venus came to be and a little back story on Gabe Shannon, the main character from the series. And apparently, also to keep you hot and bothered for approximately 100 pages.
WOW! Clare James you naughty lady.. ;) When I got the email about signing up for the Dirty blog tour, it said something along the lines of "this book contains a little more sexiness than my books usually do". Well, sign me up! Boy, she wasn't joking. From page 1 this story is over-the-top filled with hotness while somehow maintaining the integrity of the storyline which a lot of authors are not able to do. I am familiar with the rest of the series, but if you haven't read Dirty Little Lies and Dirty Little Tricks, this book would be the best place to start as it really does explain how the club came to be and gives a lot of insight into Gabe's thought process.
I really loved it and thought it was just the perfect novella to start off the series. I was given the unedited version in exchanged for my honest opinion and my spot on this blog tour. I appreciate it very much. 5*****wickedgoodstars for Dirty by Clare James :)
Dirty is the prequel novella to the Quick and Dirty series so it's job is to give you the background as to how Club Venus came to be and a little back story on Gabe Shannon, the main character from the series. And apparently, also to keep you hot and bothered for approximately 100 pages.
WOW! Clare James you naughty lady.. ;) When I got the email about signing up for the Dirty blog tour, it said something along the lines of "this book contains a little more sexiness than my books usually do". Well, sign me up! Boy, she wasn't joking. From page 1 this story is over-the-top filled with hotness while somehow maintaining the integrity of the storyline which a lot of authors are not able to do. I am familiar with the rest of the series, but if you haven't read Dirty Little Lies and Dirty Little Tricks, this book would be the best place to start as it really does explain how the club came to be and gives a lot of insight into Gabe's thought process.
I really loved it and thought it was just the perfect novella to start off the series. I was given the unedited version in exchanged for my honest opinion and my spot on this blog tour. I appreciate it very much. 5*****wickedgoodstars for Dirty by Clare James :)

Gabe Shannon knows heartache. He has lost the love of his life and spiraled out of control to the point where he is not really even running his businesses anymore.
Tash is a stripper that Gabe has become great friends with. She is also willing to help him with his issue of not being able to perform.
Tash introduces Gabe into the BDSM world. Almost instantly he has been cured of his inabilities. The business side of him also awakens. And he knows he has got to own this club for himself.
This is a very quick and great read. Gabe is introduced into a world that he knew existed but never knew he could identify with any of it. He wants Tash so bad for himself that he lets her try to fix him. And boy does it work! She was able to spark something within him that doctors could not even fix. The only problem is that she thinks Gabe is way too good for her.
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series Dirty Little Lies.
My Favorite Moment: I really loved when Gabe found out what his boundary was.

I'm not sure, really, why I love prequel novellas, but I really, really do. I love the extra insight to characters before the true story begins for them.
And in this case, we get some insight to kinky Gabe -- who wasn't always into the club scene, who had a bit of a problem with his, mmhm, member. With the help of a friend, he discovers just what he needs to get back into business.
Gabe was a fun guy. I liked his smart mouth and sassy thoughts -- even when he was demeaning to himself and upset with his inabilities. Watching the beginning of his journey was hot and sexy, and the foreshadowing to the following book was great (I did start book one, but didn't get too far before I had this in my hands, so I chose to read Gabe's story in true time-order). I cannot wait for him to finally put the past in it's place and open himself up for love.
Clare James has the ability to write a great love story, and her steamy sexiness definitely pulls through in this novella (assuming the entire series).

"Dirty" is the prequel to Clare James' kinky and fun Quick and Dirty series. This is the origin story about not only how Gabe came to be the owner of Venus, but also how he was introduced into the BDSM lifestyle. What was the impetus, the muse, and the vision. And also a little psychic perception. Gabe undergoes such a crazy amount of growth in this short novella. This little read is funny, somewhat poignant, and of course racy and steamy.

January 19, 2016This novella was the first I've read in this series..and once I found out it was a series, I was like, Uh Oh...but then I noticed it's technically book .5, the beginning. So Hey...what a time to start! And start it does. I'm hooked. Gabe's awesome. He obviously loved his wife (girlfriend, whatever she was) and I'm assuming she died, but regardless, after being able to picture himself in the burbs with kids and pets he's set adrift. After drowning his sorrows in drink, and finding out that doesn't work, he ends up at a strip club. One of the strippers, Tash, becomes his best friend...and it's her mission to see that his plumbing still works...
We get into Gabe's mind and he gets into his kink. So now, I've gotta grab the rest of the series and see how things work out! What a great prologue. Short, sweet, sexy and yep, it does it's job! Makes you wanna finish what Tash has started.
Great quick read, beginning what sounds to be a super series.

I got this book for an honest review by the publisher and I was really excited to know how Gabe became the sexy male he was on the book "Dirty little lies" from the same author.

I’ve got to say that it was a great book!
Not in the way I would have expected thought.
He is weak, hurt, broken...Nothing like the guy we know, he is not kinky... Not even a little bit.
He has lost weight and his business is going from bad to worse.
He has lost his beacon, he is indeen lost.
I think that what I enjoyed the most was the transformation, it's really hard to picture him the way he is portrait in this book...
And his lesson learned would probably be to let go, and move forward, nothing is worth you losing your life over, no matter how painful it can be.

Fun and weird
A man who's obviously has lost a love(in what way I still don't know) isn't getting it up and a women tries to help.
The story was fine and the characters are okay, but I felt it lacked more background described and it was a little shallow for my taste. That's my taste but for someone else it might be the right one. I like a little more to the story and I find that this book was not fulfilling to my needs in a read.
It's a book, and it was easy to read so feel free to read.
