She is also inspired by the unpredictable teens she teaches. If she is not creating things other than books, you’ll find her snuggled up with the love of her life watching a movie or planning their next party.

I love this series! I love the way that Cindy Hogan writes her characters. You almost feel as though you are Kate and scheming to get your parents to let you go to Italy with only your two best friends as chaperones. That's kind of the one thing for me with this book, whose parents are really going to let them go clear around the world all by themselves, especially after almost getting themselves killed by the mafia. I know there's no way I'd let our daughter.
I loved that I almost felt as though I was in Italy with Kate and Ellie. The streets and canals of Venice seemed to be as real as though I had been there (It's on my list!) and I could almost taste the yummy food they must have been able to eat while they were there.
One of the best things about this book is that action and adventure. Kate gets to travel all around the world almost on her own. But there is danger around every corner for her. The mafia is still after her. And a lot of the people that she had met in Jersey have been sent to Italy, so there are tons of people after her. She has to use all of her skills to keep herself and Ellie safe. And in the end...well you'll have to read that yourself.
I will say that the end of this one is driving me nuts. It's a complete cliff hanger and I'm really hoping that Cindy Hogan has a new one coming out really soon, because otherwise she's going to be in big trouble!
This is a cute, clean adventure book that you won't want to put down and you won't have a problem with your teen reading and enjoying!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. All I can say is WOW! This is an amazing rush of a book. Excitement, intrigue, twists and turns all surrounding one determined young lady. I love that this teen is decisive and determined to find out the answers and solutions. Great book, with strong characters.

This book is such an amazing follow up to the first book in the series, KATE UNMASKED. As with that book, I could hardly put KATE CONCEALED down. I'm not the fastest reader. But it interfered with me doing my job! haha I had to find out what Kate is doing, and what's happening to her. I can't wait to read the next two books in the series. This is so well written!

I loved the first book but this one was even better and I am about to buy the third book to see what awaits Kate's fate.

Kate Concealed is nail biting. Full of drama, great settings, choices and mysteries. It is also a clean read YA.
Kate in the first book found out about her father being part of the mafia. She still has nightmares about being forced to be part of it.
Kate, Ellie, and Colby have the chance to go to Italy for a few days. Kate finds out that her mom is keeping secrets from her. Kate has decided to give up for now on finding her mom because of no clues. Then she gets a lead.
The setting for most of the book is in Italy. I want to go.
I want to read the next book in the series now and not wait till it comes out. I like Cindy's writing style, her characters. I hated to have to put the book down.

I received an ARC to read and leave an honest review. I really enjoyed the story! I was hooked from the beginning. I have not read Kate Unmasked but still want to after reading the second book in this trilogy. I felt that there was enough information pulled from the first book that it didn't deter from enjoying book 2 and I wasn't completely lost but there wasn't so much that makes me not want to read the first book. I am going to read the first book so that I can understand what I missed. And I am excited to read book 3!!!!

February 3, 2016Wow! This is a great read. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. I didn't read the first book, but that didn't matter & I was able to follow what was going on anyway. The storyline is very realistic & fast-paced, but not too much. Kate's spunk & spirit comes through in everything she does & I love the way she tries to protect everyone she cares about. I will read the first book & cannot wait to read the next one to find out what happens. I was given a copy of this book in return for a fair & honest review.

Enjoyed this book. Cindy Hogan does a good job. The plot is interesting and has twists and turns.
