Better Homes and Gardens is the fourth best selling magazine in the United States. Better Homes and Gardens focuses on interests regarding homes, cooking, gardening, crafts, healthy living, decorating, and entertaining. The magazine is published 12 times per year by the Meredith Corporation. It was founded in 1922 by Edwin Meredith, who had previously been the United States Secretary of Agriculture under Woodrow Wilson.
Better Homes and Gardens is one of the "Seven Sisters", a group of women's service magazines.
I have had this book for a number of years and it is without doubt one of the very best cross-stitch alphabet books that money can buy. It is still available second hand from various places and worth every red cent. If you have any interest in cross-stitch then this is one book you really should have, as it will help you create many samplers of your own making. As the cost of patterns continue to rise and become less freely available it makes even more sense to buy these books while you can. I cherish all my Better Homes and Gardens cross-stitch books and mourn the day they decided it was no longer viable to keep printing, but console myself with all the beautiful books that they produced over the years.
TONS of alphabet fonts. My only complaint is that there aren't photos of each font, just the pattern. Worth buying as a reference. I got my copy from the library
