“A perfect blend of witches and mystery that keeps you turning the pages.” “A superb witch cozy mystery series that just keeps getting better. I’m hooked on Jane, Lizzy and Agatha Summers and interested to see what’s next.”
After two murders, Jane Summers just wants to get back to running her cafe in the coastal town of Crystal Cove, Maine. But this amateur sleuth is about to face her toughest case to date.
When notorious restaurant critic and long time friend turns up dead and someone is pointing the finger at Jane, she must now rely on her two batty sisters to unravel the mystery while she is being held at the Crystal Cove Police Department.
But murderous secrets and lies aren’t the only things that are about to be unravelled. Could Jane be staring down jail time?
Read all five books in the Crystal Cove Mystery Series: Witches of Crystal Cove: Murder Most Horrid Witches of Crystal Cove: Murder Most Peculiar Witches of Crystal Cove: Murder Most Sudden Witches of Crystal Cove: Murder Most Foul Witches of Crystal Cove: Murder Most Twisted
I so enjoy the family interaction Jane has while solving each murder with her sister & Dads input. Jan & Max are what a couple meant to be together is truly like, it’s working around what life throws at you and figuring a way to work around it.
This book will keep you reading and the pages turning. There are however spots where it is so slow that you want to tell the author to get on with it. Thankfully these are few and far between and does not detract from the story and characters. A Good Read Everyone!
I'm on a Emma Watts reading roll this weekend. Once you read the first book in the series, you just have to read the next book in the series. It's addictive.
I read a lot. I enjoy all kinds of books, and witch fun ones are my favorite. This series has been very enjoyable, and I will definitely read book four as soon as possible.
Debbie Jane best friend turns up on the island to write reviews on the local restaurant's, when she is found dead Jane is arrested can she and her sisters prove her innocent.
I liked the idea behind all three books, but I felt that the characters need to be fleshed out more, in order to give readers a reason to follow the series. All three books start out with the same premise, the victim fights with a bunch of people and then ends up dead. Jane is a friend of either the victim or the suspect and gets involved with trying to solve the murder with the help of her sisters. Then she solves the murder after talking to her dad. Boom, book over. It needs more content, more daily activities aside from solving the case, more back history and character interaction. At the end, it leaves more questions then answers and a big feeling of being left hanging instead of contentment of a good book that makes you want to return again and again.
I tried repeatedly to finish this book. Finally gave up slighty past the half way point. There is no flow to this story. The writing feels jagged to me. Contractions are rarely used and the conversations cone across as stilted, and forced. The story hasnt really changed from the previous ones in the series. The characters are still rough outlines that could really benefit some fleshing out. Overall a generic formula lacking any real substance. This would be more suited to a creative writing class assignment then a completed book. Grade of C with a needs improvement cavaet.
I like that t he characters seem like real people with everyday problems I like the touch's of t he paranormal such as locked doors tied shoes etc. Not so much looking like other people a bit surreal . I also like the realistic interaction between the sisters
Stories like these are hard to find. Emma Watts delivers small town charm, mystery, and a dash or three of intriguing family secrets in this series. Written so well I felt like I was in Crystal Cove, Maine, part of it all.
Fun easy read. Good hints of things to come that keep you invested in the series. Would have been four stars but needs some editing Chase Weatherby for The Soup Kitchen not David Sanders from Hot Belly Mama's had the missing tablet.
Fun little reads.....I am going through the series. Jane drags you through all of her escapades. Just when Ingo to put the book down, drags me back in.
