Alexis wrote this book in a way that kept me wanting more. I enjoyed the twist of the story. Mia started out with a challenge she thought she could win with no problem. Only to find out there was more to Mr. Big. She got hooked on Mr Big in a way she never imagined she could but when she discovered that it might have been to late. This was the perfect romance story.
This was a cute quick read. It was nice to see that even though it started off wrong it ended up ending right and two people found love in the end. I love the HEA that it had!!
This was a pretty good read. Wasn't quite sure were it was going at first, but turned out really good. Will definitely continue to read more work by this author.
Thank the author for sharing her work and putting herself out there to entertain the masses. This book unfortunately was miss for me. Does the author have talent? Yes. Absolutely! But this story was missing some key elements. Maybe it was because after reading the summary, I assumed certain things. I loved the cocktail happy hours with friends, and that all the characters were successful professionals.I also appreciated that this story had minimal grammatical errors.
The story lacked excitement, energy, lust, sex, chemistry, and passion, The relationship between Mr. Big and Mia was glazed over, as was the physical aspect of their involvement. So to hear that she/he was so in love with each other baffled me. The forced angst was bothersome. The story lacked all of those things until the last 11 pages of the final chapter. I think the story would have been better served if the "sleazy" character Will was used to some end to bring excitement. Excellent opportunity missed.
I am really confused by the high ratings. *SPOILER* the h, Mia; an educated business owner has a group of friends that finds it the thing to sleep with everyone they think is a hunk. They encourage one another to enter into these sexcapades, however non are interested in relationships. I skimmed through a lot but I'm pretty sure that the people in this book are good and grown adults. Not some fresh out of high school 18 year olds. I must say it's hard to believe that this book is about adults for adults. Very juvenile mentalities. Long story short this group of four gave Mia a "Challenge" to win an all expense trip to Italy but she had to seduce this Billionaire hunk that was dubbed Mr. Big. The name speaks for itself. This group had heard that he has a rather large anatomy. Well Mia accepts this challenge and is set up to meet him. From first encounter she goes full force although Mr. Big is very slow to be interested. She tries a second time and he then takes the bait. Immediately there is an attraction from both parties however Ms.Mia is only interested in trying to bed him. She doesn't care about her feelings she just wants to screw him *pun intended* and win her trip.. SERIOUSLY.. What grown intelligent educated woman does this tomfoolery.. Finally he confesses he has strong feelings for her and wants to take her up in sleeping together. They've had VERY little interactions with one another because they only spoke when he called to ask her out and that was it. Where is the chemistry?? After their time in bed she left while he was sleeping and set up a meeting to spill the beans to the group. All the business was shared. They didn't talk for a week then he finally shows up to her business where she so happens to be being presented with her tickets for her well earned trip.*blah* he over hears the presentation as told like she's receiving a prestigious award and he is hurt.. He should have been.. He tells her how disgusting she is and never wants to see or hear from her EVER again.. She tells the group, they encourage her to find another man to screw to get over him. Sooooo freakin Juvenile... She goes on her trip. The guy in the group tells the H that Mia screwed up but actually is in love with him. He flies to Italy to hear her out and they get married a year later. No morals for any of these sleaze balls. I wanted to give this book a one but thought I'd be kind. This was just awful. A bunch of unnecessary writing to fill pages and a lot of conversations were repeated for the second time* to fill pages* disappointed...
As excited as I was to download the sample and purchase the book, the premise/set-up and execution of the plot, differ greatly. The h remains unsympathetic, and the H is not depicted as much of a catch. The author makes him neither alpha, playboy, sex god, nor dominant, and the attraction between the h and H remains unclear, and a bit unbelievable.
I was first given this book to post a honest review. I decided that I would also buy the book to really show how much I enjoyed reading it. Not only was the storyline good the way in which it was written was nicely done. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes well written romance novels.
What was this. This was a waste of my read I g as much as I did. We Educated people all they think about the next person they can sleep with. They should've been in juvenile section not a romance section
I so enjoyed reading Mr. Big by Alexis Gold. This story was so well-developed. It had everything romance drama and heartbreak but a great happily ever after. Great book.
Although the initial circumstances around the couple is deceitful, true love always win (no matter the betrayal). This was an awesome read that all genre lovers can relate to at one point in his or her life. The plot was realistic. The characters are insanely stubborn but with a chemistry that will not be denied. This is a page turner that you will not be able to put down until completion. HEA is well deserved and the lessons that are taught along the way makes this a great read.
