A native of south Louisiana, Farrah Rochon officially began her writing career while waiting in between classes in the student lounge at Xavier University of Louisiana. After earning her Bachelors of Science degree and a Masters of Arts from Southeastern Louisiana University, Farrah decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a published novelist. She was named Shades of Romance Magazine's Best New Author of 2007. Her debut novel, Deliver Me, the first in her Holmes Brothers series, garnered rave reviews, earning Farrah several SORMAG Readers' Choice Awards.
In September 2010, Farrah joined the Kimani Romance family with the launch of her new series that follows the life of the fictional New York Sabers football team.
When she is not writing in her favorite coffee shop, Farrah spends most of her time reading her favorite romance novels, hanging around on Twitter, and trying to attend as many Broadway shows as her budget will allow. An admitted sports fanatic, Farrah feeds her addiction to football by watching New Orleans Saints games on Sunday afternoons.
I love Maplesville so hard! I'm a sucker for a Farrah novel so of course I devoured this right away! The attraction between Nyree and Dale is so immediately apparent that I began rooting for them before they were even together. Dale is struggling to define his life's work and Nyree is working hard to honor her aunt's memory by opening a salon and spa on her birthday. The two help each other out in ways they never imagined they would.
I love a little of a slow burn so watching Dale and Nyree WANT a relationship but not go after it (initially) had me turning pages. Farrah is gifted at packing so much into so little, giving us the full swell of emotion between characters in the main story as well as little side stories as well, such as Dale's relationship with the student he tutors and Nyree's relationship with both her brothers and her best friends.
This is a great, fun read when you need something light and enjoyable.

It's always interesting to see what makes a couple come together outside of physical attraction. There has to be more. The more between Nyree and Dale is what made the story worth reading. On the outside both seemed to have it all. Yet each harboring their own set of hang ups and insecurities. Dale former all American athlete having to wrestle with his past and having to overcome internal struggles. Nyree having been in the shadow of her brothers yet feeling as though she had to over compensate for everyone. As the two came together it was good to see them share each other's burdens. It's what authentic relationships are made of. Loved the supporting characters Vanessa, Dale's older sister who championed him. Hazel who planted the seed and made it possible for Nyree's dream to become a reality. Ian and Sam who are great friends to see Dale's potential and encourage him.
Enjoyable. I especially liked Nyree, with her determination (and hard work to back it up, not just wishful thinking) and her assertiveness. Dale's struggle with believing he wasn't good enough--and the circumstances behind that--was also movingly depicted.
I really dislike the presence of overprotective brothers in romance novels (guess whose sexuality does not fall under your purview, men? well, no one's except your own, actually, but that definitely means you do not control or oversee the sex lives--or lives in general--of the women you're related to!), but Rochon made it work in this context, not just because Nyree solidly rejected it, but also because the way her brothers--and not just themselves, but also their status in her family, in her community--controlled and affected her life negatively--was portrayed in a nuanced and effective way.
I have read every Moments in Maplesville novella and loved them all. I’ve learned over the years that there comes a point in every series where you don’t enjoy the book you’re reading as much as you did the others. This is the book in that series for me. It’s not that I didn’t like it, because I did, but I found something missing.
In the beginning I kept wondering where the chemistry was between Nyree and Dale. I had to wait a little while before it manifested. On a good note, Nyree is an amazing character. One of those power women who’s a little too stubborn for her own good at times, but still manages to prevail because she knows she can.
I have faith in Ms. Rochon’s story telling skills and have already preordered her next book, Any Time You Need Me, which looks delicious.
While I love this series, there wasn't enough of Maplesville in this installment. This book was pleasant to read and well written. The interaction between Nyree and Dale was a typical cat and mouse scenario, but it did not come off as trite. I especially enjoyed how the author handle the issue of high school and college athletes being used by their schools. I do not normally enjoy weak female leads, but the way the author infused strength and weakness in Nyree with her friends, brothers, mother and even Dale redeemed her for me. Even though I would like to hear more written about Maplesville itself, I will continue to read this series.
Anyway You Want It (Moments in Maplesville) Great short love story with Dale and Nyree. It was nice to hear about Ian and Sunny and know that they are now married. Sorry to hear about Sam's dad but it is nice to know that Sam will find love in Any Time You Need Me. Nyree's brother Desmond sure knows how to hold a grudge. Even though Nyree was trying to do everything without the help of her business partners they should've helped out without Dale going to has them for. Loved Dale's sister Vanessa, she had me thinking she wanted Nyree for herself; that was a little surprise with Vanessa but also very interesting.
Another fantastic trip to Maplesville with Farrah Rochon. This time it is Dale and Nyree's turn in the spotlight. Dale an ex-football star turned contractor with regrets and Nyree an overachiever with a huge renovation project and stubborn pride. Only Farrah can join the two for love in Any Way You Want It.
I loved reading the story about Dale and Nyree. I liked Dale character because even though he felt that Nyree was out of his league he still force himself to take a chance. I loved Nyree character because she was very strong, independent and determined woman. I definitely recommend this book.
Each book gets better and better! I'm glad Nyree was so persistent with her personal and professional life. I loved the sister and brother interaction too! Can't wait for Book 7.
Nyree and Dale were so cute. I love a man who will support his woman through ever storm and who also understands what she needs at moments she doesn't. Well done Farrah, I simply love my Maplesville series and this book fit right in.
Another wonderful trip to Maplesville. I liked the change of pace in this one, with Nyree having it all together, and Dale trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life. Nicely done! Got my fingers crossed that Cheyenne and Lance get their own book.
This is a continuation of the Maplesville series. This is Nyree and Dale's story. Nyree wants to open all in one salon and as Dale is working hard to fulfill that dream, they start to experience feelings for each other.
Maplesville continues to make me laugh , cry and anticipate. Farrah has knocked it out of the park again. I am waiting on the next moments in Maplesville or the next trilogy which ever comes first
