Football, anyone? Ghosties is a novel about how Irishmen, both living and deceased, come together, play their own brand of football, and reclaim their homes after the British Occupation.
A good story with especially well drawn characters. I could hear the brogue as the characters spoke and find it hard to believe the author has never been to Ireland herself. My only complaint is a preference for reading in hard copy format!
It took a while to know all the characters. Maybe fewer characters or a slower rolling out of all of them. Especially strong when the author was explaining the history. (Your journalist past has served you well! )
