Another wonderful addition to the Clover Park series. Jared does not want to put his heart at risk again and is only interested in one night stands. He is very thoughtful, but is unwilling to expose his true feelings and have them smashed again. Emily had her heart broken before by a player, who was her husband and wants nothing to do with players. They are attracted to each other but neglect talking to one another.

Emily and Jared was caught in a non-existent love triangle. I say that because it was all in Jared's head once he put some pieces together that fit but no longer belonged. Add to that the crazy events in Emily life then you have yourself a very interesting, confusing, mind-boggling romance.

Clutch Player is different from Kylie other books in the series because of the inner subject matter and turn of events but good all the same. I loved how big Emily heart was for her kids and how Jared was there when he didn't know how to be. Like Angel said, he had it in him too. Fun one-and-done and be Dr. Feelings Talker.

Way to bring love together in a different way Kylie, I enjoyed it.

I CANNOT get enough of this series!

This was another FANTASTIC addition to the Clover Park series! I blew right though the book. In typical Kylie fashion, she wove her own unique brand of comedy throughout the book; just realistic enough to get a chuckle but not slapstick-over-the-top funny. Pair that with HOT HOT HOT love scenes and you have a perfect blend for a contemporary romance.

This book was a little different than the others I had read. This one had some mildly dramatic and suspenseful elements that made the book even more of a page-turner.

Jared's internal thoughts cracked me up. Dr. One-and-Done acted like a player and even thought like one. I loved reading how he thought things through, especially after meeting Emily. (His nickname for his brother, Angel, was hilarious. Angel's story is set up BEAUTIFULLY, and I am on pins and needles waiting for it!)

This is just an absolutely amazing, low-stress, VERY entertaining contemporary romance series, and I am SO looking forward to reading the next book!!!

Addictive sweet romance with karma at it’s best!

Clutch Player tells the story of Jared and Emily, who both work at the local hospital but have completely different pasts when it comes to relationships.

One thing I really loved about the plot of this book was Jared’s feeling of it being karma catching up to him, seeing as he was usually Dr one-and-done and yet that was what seemed to be drawing Emily to him despite him wishing it wasn’t. The way the story is written, you get to see there is more to Jared than what his reputation would have you believe and how he struggles to change the views of his past behaviour to everyone, including his family to a point. The relationship with Angel and the twist there helped develop Jared as a character further I felt, as Michael’s appearances did with Emily.

Clutch Player has a strong plot that is steadily paced but never feels as though it is being dragged out. The reason behind what causes them to meet is sweet and instantly sets the tone of the book going forward and there is a brilliant twist thrown in towards the end of the book that isn’t overly obvious. I had a sneaking suspicion of how it might play out after a third incident but then thought it would be a long shot so it was a nice surprise to see it was where Kylie decided to go with the storyline. The witty style in which the story is written and alternating views of Jared and Emily draws you in so that, even during the heartfelt scenes, there is always a light undertone to lift the story. However, the high quality of writing also allows for a smooth transition into a more serious tone when needed throughout the book.

I’ve not yet read all the books in this series nor the Clover Park STUDS series but of those I’ve read, The Opposite of Wild is my personal favourite but this is a very, very close second. The author really drew me into Jared and Emily’s story and I genuinely couldn’t stop reading once I started, I was that eager to see where their story took them. As with all books in this series, you don’t have to have read any other books in this series to be able to read this book as all books are standalones with a HEA. However, if you have read all or any other of the books in the series, it definitely adds an extra dimension to the story but has no direct impact on Jared and Emily’s story and I can assure you all is tied up for the couple in this book alone; it just make you feel like you are catching up with old friends, as well as the two main characters.

Overall, this is a sweet hospital romance with a HEA and can be either read as a standalone or as part of the series! Definitely going on my favourites list and I strongly suggest you give this story a read!

Just finished reading Clutch Player and I can't say enough good about this book. This is book #9 in the Clover Park series but by no means needs to be read in order. Each is a stand alone although deals with repeat characters throughout the books.

Dr. Jared Reynolds is part of a blended family, 2 brothers and 3 step brothers, all who are doted over by his mom and step father, and the one you want on your side in a pinch. With 3 married brothers and another engaged he is teased constantly for his single player status. At work the nurses all refer to him as One-And-Done, but worth it. When his brother Vince needs him to fill in for him on Saturday mornings at the hospital for awhile as a character from their mothers popular children's book Jared is sure this will ruin his reputation.

Emily Maguire is a pediatric oncology nurse which brings a certain level of stress and heartache. Her ex brings a hole other level of stress and trouble. But when Vince sends in a brother as replacement for him one day Emily is determined to avoid the doctor with the ridiculous reputation. After the nightmare her ex has made of her life she has no intention in getting involved with any man. So staying away from Jared should be no trouble, right?

Loved to watch the evolution of Jared and Emily's relationship and how determination of wills and expectations are caught up in real life and fate. And, of course, a little family help.

Cute and fun with a few twists and turns keep this book entertaining to the end.

I Love this series and have read every book and each one is fantastic. This one is a great story and I really loved it. Its not my favorite but its a very enjoyable read in this series and I loved the characters. I also loved how we get to enjoy a cooking class with Shane and the other characters. I also loved how the children’s books Captain Cuddle, written by the heroes mom was used in this book.

This story is about Jared, he is the ortho surgeon brother and in this story Sophia is pregnant with horrible morning sickness so Vince passes the Cuddle costume to his brother, Jared. That is how Jared meets ped Oncology nurse Emily.

Jared has a one and done rep and so Emily refuses to date him. But when he saves her from a press attack she decides it might be fun to have fun with Jared. Unfortunately at that point Jared decides she is too good for him and would be perfect for his other single brother, Angel. That was the fun part watching Angel and Emily torture Jared. But after he decides he wants Emily, he knows it will never be one and done and so now he has to convince her.

I really enjoyed seeing Jared’s whole family get involved. It was genius to bring Angel into this romance because we get to learn more about Angel and his romantic feelings for his BFF. I loved the cooking class and Josh who hopefully will get a book soon (hint, hint)

This series...where do I even begin?

Clutch Player is book 9 in the Clover Park series. Don't let the number fool you, you don't have to read the others to be all caught up with this story. With that being said, i highly suggest reading the entire series because it's a memorable one, and one of my favorite series.

This is Jared and Emily's story. It all starts out with an *Emergency* Well, an emergency by one of Jared's family members' standards, that is. Do you ever not want to do something, but you do anyway because it's family? And then somehow, that choice unknowingly changes your life? That's Jared. if he hadn't done it, he may not have met Emily.

Jared's been known to be the guy all the nurses want to hook up with, but he's not more than a one night kind of guy- until Emily. And boy does she put on the chase. She's got her own baggage and isn't interested in any of Jared's player ways.

But he's persistent. And then when she's persistent, things shift for Jared.

I loved this story. It's funny, sweet, sexy, emotional, and Kylie Gilmore pulled a new one on us- added in a slight suspense element!

I LOVED seeing previous characters. I adore the family scenes, because there's never a dull moment to be found. Lots of great things coming for other family members, and I'm definitely eager for Angel's story. Like, give it to me NOW!

After being married to a "player" and finally getting her divorce....Oncology Nurse Emily Maguire vowed never to get involved with a player again.

Jared Reynolds is an Orthopedic surgeon, who after being "dumped" by the woman he loves for being too boring has decided that he will not enter into another relationship. He is known for dating nurses in the hospital....but only once. This has earned him the nickname of Dr. One-and-Done!

Though they work in the same hospital, they have never met since they are in different specialties. BUT....Emily has heard of Jared.....after all, his reputation precedes him.

An "emergency" in Jared's family causes him to fill in on the oncology ward for his brother, bringing about the meeting of Emily and Jared.

Ms. Gilmore has yet again created wonderfully developed characters who are easy to relate to. Their chemistry is obvious but both try to deny it. A blast from Emily's past, some mystery and suspense and of course Ms. Gilmore's signature humor all add up to an engaging story with an easy flow. Although this is part of a series (and I love seeing the characters from previous books pop in and out), it does very well as a stand alone. I definitely recommend this book...as well as ALL of the books in the Clover Park series.

Another great addition to the Clover Park series. Each book could be read as a stand alone but there are enough recurring characters that it makes it worth it to read them all. Kylie brings a sense of humor to her writing that shows through in the scenes & atmosphere of the entire book. Everyone knows surgeons are stuffy & arrogant so to see Jared subbing for his brother in a porcupine costume was hilarious. You can just see his face as he tries to back out of it. I fell in love with Jared when he not only followed through but then became as involved with the kids as Emily. This is a fun, sexy romance with just the right amount of comedy.

The main difference between this and the other books in the series is the sober underlying truth that Emily is dealing with pediatric patients and has an extremely tender heart. Emily had not taken any time off from the ward because the last time she did, her patient took a downward turn. She just knows that if she had been there, she could have caught it earlier and reversed it. The other underlying story line is that sweet Emily has a stalker. This adds some drama and suspense along with some twists & turns to the plot line that are not expected.

Once I picked up this story, I couldn't put it down. It is well worth the price!

OH MY GOD!
I freaking loved this book!
#9 in the Clover Park Series and definitely not the last I'll be reading.
The story is about Jared, Dr. One-and-done, and Emily, a wonderful and caring nurse on the oncology ward for children.
Both come together in what should've been a simple one time deal, but it's not long before feelings are involved and the characters find themselves not able to stick with the original plan.
Now my own feelings whilst reading this...
I cried. Yes, actual tears and before I'd even gotten halfway into the story. Seeing into Jared's mind, and how he felt about himself was really emotional.
I was annoyed with Emily in some parts because she was so back and forth, but she redeemed herself brilliantly.
And that's what I love about Kylie's books and her writing. She portrays the characters with so much realism that it's hard not to think of them as actual people.
I also loved reading more about the Marino/Reynolds family, their love for each other and also having a teasing glimpse into Angel's life.
I can't say anything else without giving away the story, but I will say that it's an amazing read and highly recommend it.
I can't wait for the next story.

Take a sexy orthopedic surgeon known as "Dr. One and Done" and a beautiful oncology nurse who is dead-set on ever getting serious with another man after a failed marriage and you have the making for a fun story. Jared and Emily have great chemistry from the start but she turns him down repeatedly, not wanting to get involved with a player. Jared never gets turned down so he makes it his mission to get her to say yes to him. When she finally gives in because she wants a little adventure and fun, there are lots of sexy times between the two who can't seem to stay away from each other. Both are afraid of getting hurt and unfortunately, Dr. One and Done becomes Dr. "I can't find the words to express my feelings" so they continue on the same path until tragedy strikes and they finally admit that what they share is more than just a fling. Gilmore infuses lots of humor and fun into the story along with a bit of mystery and danger. The characters are well developed and the story is engaging, fun and moves at the perfect pace.

Clutch Player is part of the Clover Park series but can definitely be read as a standalone.

Kylie does it again. The Clutch Player is the 9th book in her endlessly entertaining Clover Park series. This can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Believe me it will lead to you reading the other eight books. It's really a great series.

This book is about Jared. To his family, he is the go-to-guy, the Clutch Player. There for them whenever for whatever. To the nursing at his hospital where he is an Orthopedic surgeon, he is Dr. One-and-Done. Both titles he is more than happy with until he meets Emily a nurse in the Pediatric Oncology ward where he is helping his brother out by playing Captain Cuddles for all the kids.

Throughout this book you can see there is a deeper connection between the two. The infuriating thing is that they don't see it. Jared had the proverbial frog stuck in his throat unable to express his feelings and Emily was so busy living in the past that it prevented her from seeing what was right in front of her. It isn't until they almost lose each other do they find one another.

This is a story that will take you in, make you fall in love with the characters and make you never want to leave Clover Park.

Only Kylie Gilmore can get me to even consider reading a story like this. Normally, I stay away from stories that have the slightest hint of a medical story line. The bogged down medical jargon, the emotional plots and the egocentric characters totally turn me off. That is not what Clutch Player brought to the table. There were some moment of heartbreak but Ms. Gilmore had me laughing through my tears and Hoping for the best. I received an ARC of Clutch Player in exchange for an honest review. Emily is faced with serious situations on a daily basis due to her career. She and Jarod have that in common but he has a less serious, more upbeat outlook on life. He was just what the doctor ordered for Emily. I enjoy reading Ms. Gilmore because at the end of the day her stories are full of warmth and heart.

This book is about Jared who is the Dr. in the family and is known as Dr. One and done because he doesn't do commitment. Emily is a nurse on the Children's oncology unit where Jared has to fill in as a book character to help out his brother Vince. Jared falls for Emily but she only wants a fun time since she is getting over a bad divorce due to her cheating husband. I loved the chemistry and of course catching up with the previous couples of Clover Park. My only problem with the book is that Emily had dated/slept with Jared's brother. For me I just don't like that kind of story line. But I went ahead and read the book and loved it. Kylie's books are always, steamy, sweet, and funny. This one also had some suspense which just added to the story. Great series that I highly recommend and look forward to reading more of.

I have loved this series from book one and have been hooked on Kylie's writing style since. Every new story has a great hook all its own but still ties in to the community as a whole. It was great seeing some of the people from the first few books in the series in this story.

Jared has most defiantly meet the perfect match in Emily. Emily is so sweet, caring and complex. She brings out all the right sides of Jared that make him just so lovable. The ups and downs of the ride these two are taking is very entertaining to read about. I don't want to give to much away but when the loss happens I really felt the grieving of those around the one that passed, I cried so hard.

Getting to know Angel better in this book was an added bonus to this story. Really looking forward to his story.

Certainly not nurse Emily Maguire who only knows him as Dr. One-And-Done. But it’s really fun chaos because Emily has heard the rumors of his expertise. And right now she needs a little fun in her life. Needs to blow off a little steam. So she decides she’s in for the good doctor’s One-And-Done experience. Except now Jared’s out. For the first time ever he’s looking to make something with a woman that will last. Emily and Jared are at odds with two completely different agendas.

Sexy, funny, emotional. Everything you could want in your romance. Recommended!

I really enjoyed this story and great addition to the Clover Park Series. Its sweet but yet steamy with a little suspense thrown in there. The chemistry between Jared and Emily is hot! I love the banter between Jared and Emily. Jared is a known player and Emily still trying to get past her is betrayal of her ex. Emily only wants to have fun. Jared finds himself wanting more. Can both get past their issues and make it last? Kylie did a great job! You will not be disappointed.

Clutch Player is the 9th book in Kylie Gilmore's Clover Park Series. It can be read as a stand alone but it's more fun if you've read the other books too.

Jared Reynolds is known as "Dr. One and Done" and Emily is not looking for love after her divorce. Emily has heard of Jared's reputation and doesn't want anything to do with him. They can't deny their chemistry forever though. This is a great story that will have you rooting for this couple. I would definitely recommend this book.

Surgeon Jared may be a little arrogant when it comes to the ladies. When nurse Emily doesn't readily fall for him, he is intrigued. She knows his rep and isn't willing to fall for him. But fate and a certain porcupine costume intervenes, bringing these two together. Read this book snd you'll find that Jared is more than a clutch player.

Jared Reynolds finally gets his story in Kylie Gilmore's Clutch Player. "Dr. One and Done" falls for the one nurse that isn't looking for love. Emily Maguire has had her share of bad luck with men so when Jared decides that he wants more than a one time thing, Emily isn't interested.

Clutch Player is wonderful continuation of the Clover Park series. I love getting to catch up with all of the Clover Park family and I can't wait until Jareds brother Angel gets his story!

This book is another great addition to the Clover Park series. It is well written with plenty of humor and good natured teasing, along with a little mystery and suspense. This story is a little different than Ms. Gilmore's other works in this series but it is still enjoyable. I love catching up with the characters from the previous stories.
