About the author

At age ten, Alicia Dean wrote her first ever romance (featuring a hero who looked just like Elvis Presley and who shared the name of Elvis’ character in the movie, Tickle Me), and she still has the tattered, pencil-written copy. Alicia is from Moore, Oklahoma, and now lives in Edmond. She has three grown children and a huge network of supportive friends and family.

Other than reading and writing, her passions are Elvis Presley, MLB, NFL (she almost always works in a mention of one or all three into her stories) and watching (and rewatching) her favorite television shows like Dexter, Justified, Friends, Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Breaking Bad. Some of her favorite authors are Michael Connelly, Dennis Lehane, Lee Child, Lisa Gardner, Ridley Pearson, Joseph Finder, and Jonathan Kellerman…to name a few.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Liberty is a vampire hunter who is discovering herself after meeting her father who has since passed. She is torn between two men and keeping her friends safe. When her friend comes to her and says her Grandparents were kidnapped she will do almost anything to save them including putting herself in a tough situation.
Will she do what she needs too or will she do what she wants to try to keep everyone safe?
This is a great series and they should be read in order.

Although I normally don't read vampire books, I was intrigued by the cover and blurb, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Vampire hunter Liberty Van Helsing is the epitome of a delightful resilient female character. The story is compelling and fast-paced with a little humor sprinkled in to keep the reader smiling. I wish I'd read the first two in the series before this one. I plan to check them out.

Alicia Dean's crisp writing style will keep you turning pages and wanting more.

This is a super fun series! It's like your favorite CW show. Liberty continues pursuing her destiny as a Van Helsing. As she grows in her slaying ability, so does the danger. Truths about Eli's past come to light and complicate the already complicated feelings he and Liberty share.
Eli is one of my favorite book boyfriends, and I always love spending time with him. I can't wait to read the next one! Dean left off with serious trouble in Paradise. I would recommend for easy, fun, escapism. Who doesn't need that from time to time?

Vampires Rule

Liberty Empowered is a unique vampire book. Although I didn’t discover The Isle of Fangs Series until this third book, I will be going back and reading the first two and will look forward to reading upcoming books in the series and more of Alicia Dean’s books. The series was fast-paced and exciting and I enjoyed the love triangle. I wasn’t a particular vampire fan before but now I’m hooked.

I've read, and enjoyed, a few of the author's other books. So when I stumbled across this book, I decided to check it out. I haven't read a vampire book in awhile and wasn't disappointed. Despite not reading the first two in the series (yet!), I was able to jump right into the story (and plan to go back and check out the first two in the series). I enjoyed the characters and the story was fast paced.

I'm not normally a fan of vampire books. I mean seriously, how romantic can a neck bite be?

Anyway, despite my initial misgivings, I was intrigued by the cover, blurb and the preview so I had to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did! This fast paced and exciting book kept me turning pages until the very last!

Vampire stories are not my usual genre but I was intrigued by the cover. Then the action/adventure plot kept me flipping the pages of this unique vampire story. Liberty is a complex character and her resourcefulness helps save the day. I’m looking forward to more in the series and will go back to the earlier titles.

I love a good love triangle and this book had it. It was fast-paced and kept my interest until the end. Ms. Dean's writing is wonderful and I'm so glad I have found this series! Another one to add to my book habit. Highly recommend!

OMG!!!!! Love loosing love to save her mom.????!!!!! Poor Liberty goes through hell but can she truly find love again after wat Eli does to her at the end? Absolutely love it really looking forward to read the next book. Can't wait!!!! I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
