Verity was teaching at an elite boarding school for girls for four years and was crushed to learn that another teacher with more education and skills in languages was going to replace her. Although she still could teach at the academy, her classes now would revolve around grammar, spelling and mechanics. She was devastated to find out that she could no longer teach Shakespeare, Chaucer and the inspirational works she loved.
The same day that she was demoted, Verity received a letter from her cousin who moved to Montana. This sparked an idea for a new life out west. Verity begins writing to a man who advertised for a mail order bride, but what happens when he finds out that she misrepresented herself? Can Adam forgive her deceptions? Will there be a connection between Adam and Verity after their first stormy meeting? Is there hope for this blacksmith and teacher to find love?
This is a stand-alone novella and can be read independently, but is also book five in the series. Each book is a clean romance without a cliffhanger. The books can be read in any order. Verity is Charlotte's cousin from Mail Order Husband Frank for those familiar with the series, but this can be read by itself for new readers.
If you enjoy Mail Order Bride stories, this is a fun quick read. The series is fun and illustrates different personalities of both prospective grooms and eastern boarding school type women making the adjustment to each other and the environment. All have a happy ending so it makes for a nice afternoon of stress free reading. I noted a number of errors so the editing could use improvement.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my honest review. I enjoyed this romance between Verity and Adam in Billings, Montana. Verity is a school teacher and Adam is a blacksmith. It is good to read about a love story without any smut. I highly recommend this book.
This is a simple romance book with not a lot of depth. I would have liked to know more about each person. There romance is short in depth and leaves you thinking people are just ready to be in love settle down and marry in the West. Not sure I believe that. If you want a quick read this is okay for that.
Mail Order Bride Verity by Rose Jenster is a stand alone story, book 5in the series Montana Mail Order Brides Series. This is a wonderful short story. I enjoyed the characters very much. Thanks
Enjoyed the strong characters and the story flowed well. I always enjoy some drama. Thank you for generously giving this book as a freebie. Be blessed always and thank you! Regards Felicity
I chose this rating because the story was good but when his house was broken into , I just didn't think his actions were normal. He didn't get the least bit upset and I would think anyone would be. Not to the point of hateful anger but something at least.
This is a well written short story with well thought out plot and characters, both old and some new. They have sadness, excitement, adventure and the promise of a very happily ever after.
