Excellent!

How to draw a portrait is a very detailed step-by-step guide taking you all the way to the finish product. It is a short book but it does what it says and it gets the beginners started. I loved it.

I bought half a dozen books on how to draw portraits and this one, by and large, was the best. The author goes through 40+ steps for a single portrait, with painstaking explanations about why this particular step matters. You learn to essentially draw a skull and how to determine correct proportions before even starting to draw the distinctive features of a face. Excellent manual. Highly recommend!

Accurate, clear instruction

I found this instruction concise and quite understandable. The drawing I made by following the written instructions was the best and most realistic I have made from written teaching. I would recommend this book to any student, or professional artist interested in improving their portraits.

This book gave the direction I needed

Learning to draw has been a challenge for me. I have read several books and have understanding of the general principles. When I attempted to put these principles into practice the results were disappointing. The step by step approach of this book gave me a practical method that works.

No aporta más de lo que está en internet de forma gratuita.

A pesar de eso si crees que es mejor tener una opinión más entonces cómpralo, no perderás nada, finalmente es bastante económico en Kindle.

Step-by-step guide focused on drawing the head and face.

The portrait process is examined from start to finish. Every facet is fully explained. By following the process from beginning to end you acquire an innate familiarity with the elements of portraiture. An excellent guide for beginners and a valuable reference. The content is so well depicted by the illustrations that the text is almost irrelevant! Follow the illustrated technique and you will develop the basic skill set that every artist requires. A wonderful book! A treasure.
