Hero Unleashed

Rate this book
Princess Amaryllis should have been sad to be exiled from her home on the Saturn moon, but on Earth she finds freedoms she never imagined existed. She embraces her new home with big, open-mouthed kisses and establishes herself as a prominent businesswoman catering to the humans’ most intimate desires. When the former head of her father’s guard enters her domain, he rouses not only old insecurities but also a burning desire to see him lose the formal constraints and succumb to the promise in his command. Lucian Kilsgaard was a warrior without a mission until he received word that an assassin had been sent to ensure the exiled princess does not return to reclaim the throne. He goes to warn the princess and instead of the unconfident, impulsive girl he remembers, he finds a bold temptress. How can he protect her when all he wants is to sink into her softness? He vows the line between protector and lover will never be crossed, yet Amaryllis will test his resolve until he takes exactly what he needs.

Read all the Saturn books, even the one with Captain because I really like Lucian. The Saturn dudes are like a cross between Captain America and Thor. First time reading this author's works. Wish there's less bedroom scenes and more interaction or natural development of characters. Everything happened within maybe 4 days according to Jorge.

Hope

I loved the underlying theme of this story. There is always hope and redemption. It was a bit hard to discover under the kinky sex, but it was there. Two warriors found both hope and redemption in that interestingly kinky scene. Good job.

A messenger from home brings news to the former head guard to the king an assassin had been sent to kill their exiled princess. Who is better to protect Amaryllis than the Lucian? Instead of finding impulsive girl, he discovers a bold temptress. One he must resist if he can protect her. But as the owner of The Cavern catering to the humans’ most intimate desires is what she does best. She is determined to test his resolve by fulfilling the club’s motto: It’s all about receiving what you need.
Warrior without a mission. Exiled princess. An assassin seeking revenge. What could go wrong!

There’s almost always a brooding character in every series and this one is no exception. Meet Lucian. As the former head guard he has some serious underlining issues. Since Princess Amaryllis is the owner of a hedonistic nightclub who is better to deal with Lucian than her. Hello Domme! Deal with him she does in a very YOWZA kind of way. But seriously folks, even though he puts up a good fight, there is no resisting Amaryllis. The heat between them is sizzling as is their interactions. Actually all the interactions in this series are great. Author Anna Alexander has done an excellent job with all the main as well as secondary characters. She carries each one into the next book so you get to enjoy them all over again which for me is always a plus. (Note to Ms. Alexander…please give Bale his own book).

This entry into the Heroes of Saturn series definitely has me convinced this is a series worth reading. Unlike the previous book, there is a bit more of a darker side to Hero Unleashed. There is more action, more intense moments but still a very satisfying HEA. This is my second book by this author and I got to say…Me likey! This is definitely a book worth recommending.

I received this book from JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.
