This is my favorite book in this standalone series yet! Devyn is a knockout MMA fighter that crosses paths with Carly under unfortunate circumstances initially but turn into one helluva story that I couldn’t put down or get enough of reading. We’re given a great storyline that has more depth then just a quick sex fest and even has a bit of comedy mixed in. Great read that I highly recommend.

Devyn is now my favorite! He is a vicious man inside the ring but on the outside he is so much more. I want him!
Carly is so damn lucky she was working that night! I will be honest and tell you that I am jealous of this chick!
This book is good and I was hooked. It is such a short read and I didn't want it to end.
The ending was super cute and it fit completely!

Hot and surprisingly Heartwarming.
Devyn O'Dare is an unstoppable MMA Champion. He is focused, ruthless, and intimidating.
After a Title match he somehow finds himself in the ER. Mistakes were made and he's regretting his choices to drink. Not really remembering what all happened.
Carly is a struggling single mother and his nurse. She's good at what she does. She's not ashamed to tell it like it is and does so.
She rips into him about his poor choice and brings sense back into his head.
Upon discovering that a Doctor is slacking on his duties to his patient, Carly let's him know he can leave and no-one can stop him.
Carly gets a frantic phone call and she's off.
Trouble brews and she finds herself in a bind.
Devyn comes to her aid and changes her whole life.
This is a bit of an emotional story as well as a HOT and steamy romance.

haha! It's not often when I come across a story that has a definite erotica feel to it and I want to shove the dirty hot moments to the side and get more of the story because the basic of the plot was so good! Good thing I have a good imagination and can fill in whatever gaps I want. I would not complain in the slightest if the author went back and expanded this book and gave us a Brawler 2.0 and made it more a novel/novella length story and kept the insta-attraction/love bit, but made getting between the sheets a more harder-earned challenge. Devyn would so be up to it!
Quick and steamy, this story worked for an hour or so escape. I enjoyed the quicky hea and like I said, just wished the playtime took a bit more effort to earn.

Devyn O'Dare is a world heavy weight champion, he likes to destroy anyone of his opponents however he doesn't like being centre of the public gossip. Even though his mother died when he was younger due to his father killing her, but he has become quite a strong person growing up, but after one choice that he makes without realising it he has altered his life forever.
Whilst he is in hospital he ends up meeting Carly who is his nurse, but whilst he is there he notices that if he can alter things in the past and put them into the present then he will try his hardest to do so. Carly is a single mother, she is just about coping with day to day life, whilst trying to provide for her son. Carly sees something in Devyn but she isn't sure whether or not she can trust him even though he rescues her from a vicious incident.
Even though Devyn has offered to help her no matter what, and showed her that he is interested in her but he understands she wants to do right by him, will Carly offer to accept his help or will she be too proud to admit it and continue to struggle just to provide for her son. This is such a good story, and I have a feeling that you will enjoy reading it as well. Take a chance with this and you'll see what I mean.

I say this is the best one yet, story wise!
The erotic portion of this book was still HOT! It wasn't as extreme as Sloane's usual writing, but it was still amazing because it backed up the story. Meaning it was more believable.
Lately, Sloane's endings in his novellas have been abrupt, but the ending in this book was written beautifully! While the ending was written wonderfully, the story it self/the plot itself was a written well also.
I love the characters in the story. I love the fact that in Sloane's stories, the women are strong independent women roles in his books.
Shout out to the author for the strong women roles!

I put 4 stars but this book was probably more a 3.5. I liked the book and I really enjoyed the epilogue but I don't know the actual book itself felt rushed and the writing seemed kind of off. I'm not saying the writer was mediocre but some parts of the book lacked details that would make it believable and some scenes were awkward or had weird dialogue for the character. I sometimes felt like I was reading a story off of a site like Wattpad or Quotev. I think if the author made this a full length novel, or at least over 100 pages and concentrated on details and dialogue this book could easily become 5 stars. It had all the right elements, good plot, amazing characters, an adorable little boy, etc, but sadly the puzzle pieces just didn't quite match up.

A man and a child! Perfect combination!
This story is my favorite of the Bad Boy series from Sloane. Nothing compares to a sexy, determined man who loves giving back. And adding the struggling single mom element was excellent.
Who can't relate to that? I surely can.
Devyn, our hero puts himself out there so to give back to two strangers that happened to have stolen his heart. The connection he has with Carly and her son ,James will still your heart.
Sloane, this story was sweet and heart felt. Loved it so much. Wish there was more! ❤️

Without a doubt, this is my favorite of Sloane's Bad Boy series! After all, who wouldn't love the ultimate and severely misunderstood alpha male with an attitude problem, but who is also built to fiercely protect his woman and love children? Not to mention being an MMA fighter with a heart of gold! I'll tell you what - this MC can take me into the cage anytime he wants...yum!
My only hangup? The editing needs some work. It didn't detract from the story for me, but the mistakes were still there. Overall, well done! I can't wait to start reading Con Man next!

MMA fighter Devyn O'Dare is in a car accident, he's in the hospital where he meets Carly. She gives him a heads up that the doctor caring for him, is holding him so that his son can get a pic and autograph. He's not having it and decides to leave. When he does he find Carly in a bad situation with her boyfriend. Devyn takes care of the situation and Carly. Taking her and her son under his wing.
A quick read. I wanted more from this! I was disappointed when it ended!!

What a great story. Devyn is a gentle giant with killer instincts in the ring, while Carly is a strong woman because she has to be! I simply loved how fate brought them together- just a great story. The extra bonus story Chloe Comes For Christmas is hilarious and sexual lethal as far as Christ's Gifts Go!!!

Umm this chick went from having an abusive live in boyfriend that she was scared to leave her child alone with straight to the house of a guy she literally just met and has sex with.
