When Rafe and the Devil Riders rescue me from the unwanted advances of a dirtbag trucker at my night job, I somehow find myself instead working for them, in their bar - the Devil's Hideout. They're rough men, tempered by a life lived on the outside - but they're loyal, fiercely protective of their own, and they soon take me under their wing.
But just as I start to feel like I belong, that I've found my new family, my past comes hurtling back, forcing me to run once more.
My burgeoning relationship with Rafe is the hardest to leave behind, but I have no choice. I'll soon learn, though, that Rafe isn't so easy to shake off...
Rafe
The first time I saw her, being pawed at by that asshole trucker, I knew she was different. Flaming red hair with a temperament to match, and drop-dead gorgeous. I can see in her eyes, though, the walls she's built up around herself.
I'm hardly one to talk, of course. We've all got our issues, things that we'd prefer to leave in our past - and I'm no different. Two tours in Afghanistan were enough to build pretty thick walls of my own.
These days, though, I somehow find myself the leader of the Devil Riders. They're my new family, and a rougher, cruder, more loyal bunch of sons of bitches you could never hope to find.
Me and Chrissy are taking things one day at a time, and I can start to feel those old walls of mine crumbling...but then she just up and disappears one day. Seems that her past finally caught up to her.
Like my Dad always said though, you can't run from your problems forever. And I'm not about to let her get away that easily...

She finds herself needing help again, while working at a roadside diner. Chrissy get help from a group of bikers from the Devil Riders MC. After quitting her job, Chrissy gets offered a job at the Devil Riders' bar. Chrissy feels like she can only count on herself and has to continue fight. She is attracted to the leader of the bikers, Rafe.
Rafe is the leader of the Devil Riders. He owns and runs the Devils Hideout bar. Rafe feels drawn to Chrissy. He knows that he needs to save her and give her a job. Rafe and his buddy were in the military and now band together to do odd jobs. They have formed their own family and take care of each other. The bikers come to Chrissy's rescue a few more times. Rafe is getting tired of the life and wants to move on to something else.
Chrissy and Rafe both a tough exterior. Neither one want to show their vulnerable side. Chrissy feels comfortable and safe with the bikers. After Justin (the student she has been tutoring and turned down) threaten Chrissy, she goes on the run again. Rafe wants to find her, but has to finish the job first. Coincidence or Fate brings Chrissy and Rafe together again. Chrissy didn't like fate, because of her past and not being able to escape it. Rafe and Chrissy are two people who yearn for freedom and each other. I like how they made each other better and could be themselves when they were together.
The characters sexual chemistry is very hot. I loved this book and these characters. I hope that there will be books on some of the other members of the Devil Riders. * I received this ARC book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Chrissy has had enough of her billionaire boyfriends abuse, and when she runs one night with barely the clothes on her back, she lives with the fear of him tracking her down. When she goes home to her parents, she is shocked and appalled by their attitude, and runs yet again. Chrissy enrolls in school, she starts to tutor Justine, but he just seems to want her, not to learn, and then there's her part time job, but when she is attacked at work with no support from her boss, not even a 911 call, she can't believe it, until she is offered a job at a bar by the man that helped save her, Rafe. It's not an easy choice, but she needs the money.
Rafe starts to think more and more about Chrissy, but he would have his whole Motorcycle Club after him if he did her wrong. When a woman turns up at the club making eyes at Rafe and leaving to go up to his room with him, Chrissy's heart breaks, then Justin comes to where she is attempting to blackmail her, and because she wants nothing but to protect everyone she's grown to care about, she does the only thing she can, she runs away. Rafe is heart broken, but he has a job to finish before he can search for her, but when he arrives, his heart isn't on the job, plus there is now an added danger that could destroy him in more ways than one
Rafe is definitely an endearing character, one I think every girl would like to have on her side. I loved the twist near the end, and they way the story ended was fantastic, another awesome way Ashley shows her talent.

This was my first book by this author and it's obvious that she is very talented. The story was built really good and had a different amazing flow. This is the story of Chrissy and Rafe as well as the unusual eventful way they met. Chrissy run away from her abusive ex-boyfriend and changed her name. NOW before we go any further lets discuss her crazy a** parents, what kind of parents turn their child away because her boyfriend has money! Someone should beat their a**es.. Chrissy felt like she can only count on herself and has to continue fight her own battles. NOW, the story, Rafe is a retired military personnel and now the leader of the Devil Riders and rescue Chrissy while working at a roadside diner. The characters sexual chemistry and attraction to each other is steamy. Justin, a student she had been tutoring but turned down his advances threaten Chrissy, this book have so many twists and turns, it makes your head hurts but it's a good hurt. Rafe and Chrissy needed each other, at the exact moment in which their paths cross...it was inevitable. NOW the bonus story, I enjoyed Tess and Eli and I would love to read their full story. Overall, a dynamic book.....

I really like this author! She writes about strong women, and Chrissy is a strong woman. I really liked Rafe in all his hotness! If you like strong women and hot guys this book, this author is for you!

This was OK. Not your typical MC book at all. There wasn't a lot of the brotherhood or other facets of mc series. I had a hard time finishing it. I hate to rate a book so low, but I just couldn't get into it.

Arc review For honest honest review. While Christy on the run from her abusive boyfriend ,she runs into raff a hot sex bad boy biker. He shows her that men are not all abusive. Great job and well written.

Had a lot of potential. I loved the characters and would of liked to get more time at the club house. I loved Chrissy. For a smart girl she sure had bad karma with rich boys...

There wasn't anything wrong with this book, but it just didn't do it for me to continue the series.
