Still reeling from the revelation that her present family is involved in the Flamestone Society, Elaine has made it to a rugged settlement called Wompitt, a town made up of escapees from the Dweller mines. That's good...because she's going to need all the help she can get to rescue her friends from the mines and stop the evil Society from selling any more souls to the depths.
Or is it? It seems the people of Wompitt have one thing on their mind: survival, and nothing else. Worse, the leader of Wompitt thinks she might have connections to the Society, and there's only one punishment for that—death. And it gets even worse than that. Someone inside the walls really is working against them all, and Elaine's the top suspect. Can she survive long enough to mount a rescue mission for her friends?
Holly Hook is the author of the Destroyers Series, which consists of five young adult books about teens who are walking disasters...literally. She is also the author of the Rita Morse series, a young adult fantasy series still in progress, and After These Messages, a short ya comedy. Currently she is writing Twisted, a spin-off of the Destroyers Series due out in December. When not writing, she enjoys reading books for teens, especially ya fantasy and paranormal series with a unique twist.
Title: Found Author: Holly Hook Genre: Young Adult Fantasy Format: Ebook Pages: 168 Rating: 4
Main Characters: Elaine
Supporting Characters: Jaden, Welsie
Summary: Now that Elaine has found other people that have escaped the mines she has to prove herself to them. Will she survive long enough to save her friends?
Thoughts: I like Elaine, she won’t give up but knows when to back down. I enjoyed this book a little more than book 1, there was more excitement I thought. But I understand book 2 wouldn’t really make sense without book 1. I look forward to seeing how it ends.

Found picks right up where Alone ends and immediately grabs you into the story and keeps you engaged to the end. Elaine has just escaped her stepfather who she has learned isn’t who she thought he was and has made it to the settlement that her friend/pet Pit has been leading her to since she found him. Now Elaine needs to earn the trust of the people who have managed to make a life here so that maybe she can get some help to go back to the mines and free her friends from the Society. The leader doesn’t fully trust Elaine but there is more going on that meets the eye. Elaine meets new people and makes a few new friends. Some of the people of the settlement have never even been to Earth having been born there from others who have escaped. But they are making it by learning from others and experimenting. But danger is nearby and coming in the darkness on skittering feet. I found that Found drew me in more and was more engaging than Alone, the first book, was for me. This second book is a bit faster paced and engaging as there are more characters to bring more dynamics to the story as secrets are revealed, a betrayal is discovered and more of the truth comes out. This book is really well written and will have the reader gripped all the way to the end of the story and wanting to know what happens next. Elaine and her friends are in a struggle and a fight for their lives and the only way to find out whether they will succeed…is to read on to the next book. I would definitely recommend this book to others and I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

Still reeling from a huge revelation about her position in the Firestone Society, Elaine has made it to the settlement of Wompitt, a town made up of escapees from the Dweller mines. If she can prove herself, hopefully, they'll help her break her friends out and get back to Earth.
But the leader of Wompitt doesn't trust her, and all the settlers have on their mind is survival. Even worse than that, though, is there looks to be a mole in their midst -- someone is working with the Society, and Elaine is suspect number one.
I read this book as part of my #yearofindiewomen. I read this book during Dewey's 24-Hour #readathon.
Elaine thinks she's finally going to get home when she gets out of the wilderness and finds the settlement of Wompitt, but as it typically happens when humans get involved, things get a lot more complicated. Elaine continues to evolve a lot throughout this novel, and we see even more of the awesome and scarily beautiful world of Selwyn. We also see how awful humanity can be through the Flamestone Society.
I just have to say that Pit is the star of this series, honestly. He's the best. Without him, they'd all be dead. Not to mention, he's cute and funny as heck!
Just like 'Alone', I devoured this book and quickly moved on to 'Freed'. This series made the readathon just fly by!
Found is book 2 in Holly Hook's Flamstone Trilogy.
Elaine has survived the alternate world she has found herself in and made it to a settlement of of escapees called Wompitt. She should be safe now right? She'll have help to rescue her friends now right?
The people of Wompitt value survival above all else. The leader of Wompitt is suspicious of Elaine from the beginning, of having ties to the Flamestone society and when it is revealed there is a traitor in their midst all fingers point to Elaine. Can she uncover the real traitor, save herself and rescue her friends?
In this instalment of the trilogy, Elaine is trying to fit into and adapt to the abrupt changes of her new way of life at the Wompitt settlement, until a traitor emerges and disrupts the fragile peace she has managed to find. She now has to fend for herself and prove her innocence and circumstances lead her to a futile rescue attempt of her friends.
Hunger Games meets Maze Runner. Fast paced action scenes and plot twists to keep you guessing until the end. A very worthy addition to the trilogy.
I need to also make mention of the two major plot twists in particular, one of which I did not see coming but am totally glad it did. As I try to keep my reviews pretty spoiler free so I won't give too much detail, but if you read this, you will know which part I mean when you get to it in regards to twist number 2.
I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This was a great book. Elaine finds the settlement of Wompitt, which is made up of escapees from the mines. Immediately their leader Ned does not trust her and believes she is working with the Flamestone Society and the Dwellers. Ned reluctantly allows her to stay because she doesn't have the Flamestone Society tattoo, but makes it clear that she's being watched and doubted. She settles into life in Wompitt, doing chores and learning their routines, but still wants to find and save her friends in the mines.
She becomes close with some of the residents, including the resident science genius, and the things he tells her about the Dwellers and Flamestone are really intriguing. Elaine also begins to teach Jaden how to read and write, which I thought was really cool.
There's a Dweller raid, and Ned assumes Elaine is responsible, and she is banished. This begins a series of events that are devastating and life-altering for Elaine. She, Jaden, and Welsie are asked to bring back an arm of one of the Flamestone Society. They agree, but cannot bring themselves to do it, or leave. There's another raid, and they save everyone -- and a traitor is discovered.
What happens after that is an unbelievable, twisty adventure. More shocking revelations for Elaine, more hard decisions. It ends on a cliffhanger, so be warned.
But it was great, and I can't wait to read the next book.

Found is the continuing story of the high school student, Elaine, after she escaped from the Flamestone Society. Author Holly Hook again delivers a thrilling story, filled with twists and turns that are unexpected and keeps the readers on the edge of their seats as we learn more about the Flamestone Society and what they really do.
The story picks up immediately from the previous one. In this book, we learn there are others who have escaped, but will Elaine be able to fit in? Like the Walking Dead, appearances of peace and safety can be misleading.
However, again, I have to rate this book down because of the same editing issues I ran into with the previous one. Instead of being able to really lose myself in this story, I found myself being thrown out of the story every time I would find a " and extra spaces that wasn't supposed to be there (which could have been a case of just not knowing how to properly format for Kindle), or a word that may have been spelled correctly, but wasn't the right word for the sentence.

Elaine finds the settlement at the end of Alone. Found is what goes on in the settlement. Ned is the head guy and he does not trust Elaine. Elaine becomes friends with the people there and then things happen and Ned decides that Elaine and her friends have to prove themselves and bring back the arm of a Flamestone Society member with their tattoo. Instead they go back to the settlement underground. They find who the traitor is and the Dwellers come and take Antoine, a kind of nerd guy. Elaine, Wesley, Jaden and Baxter all go looking into the mines for Antoine. What comes next will be an BIG shocker!!! This book leaves you with a major cliffhanger!!!!
I can't wait until Freed comes out so I can finish this trilogy!!! I am on pins and needles wanting to know what happens!!! Found was an excellent read!!! I was in the edge of my seat reading this book because there are so many twists that I just didn't see coming!!!!
This series just keeps getting better. Now having found others who have built a compound in this other world all she needs to do is convince them to help her rescue her friends from the mines. But then all hell breaks loose and we find out about this society and the other people and more creatures. Wow I have no idea how this was done but this series is strong with a great story line that just sucks you in. The way the lives intermingle and the characters grow and the action just flows. Great story and characters. I can't get enough of this series which is a little different from the others Hooks has written but just as AWESOME!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I read the first book in this series the Flamestone Trilogy and the second book does not disappoint. It picks up right where the first book leaves off with Elaine trying to find her friend Talia and her boyfriend Shawn. She now has met some of the natives of the planet that she's been taken too and the mystery behind the Flamestones and the connection with her stepfather picks up some speed. Loved the characters of Weslie and Jaden and their interactions with Elaine in this book. Can't wait to see what happens in the final book of this series. Holly Hook doesn't disappoint. Glad I discovered her books.
I was given an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
I do love this series. It's short and exciting and easy to read. It keeps me on my toes and is unlike anything I've read before. The characters are fairly raw, when you first meet them, but their growth through the story is very apparent, which adds a lot to their development. I can't wait to read Freed and see what will happen next. I'd recommend it for any YA fans.
I took off one star for a few grammar mistakes. But there were so few that I wish I could have only taken half a star.
Amazing sequel. Elaine has found a temporary home, but there is a lot of mystery surrounding the camp. She has to quickly learn the ropes and deal with a unforgiving leader. All the while, trying to maintain her anonymity and determine her next move. This was very fast paced with a lot of twists and turns. I certainly did not see any of them coming. I am looking really forward to the finale.
I received a copy of this book in return for an honest and unbiased review.
I received an arc for an honest review. Wow Holly sure knows how to keep her readers occupied. I just couldn't put this book down. It was a roller Coaster ride with lots of twists turns and dips that made you breathless to read what was next. This one starts where Alone left off with Elaine having made it to the Settlement, Pit the harehound with her. Elaine now in Wompitt has to figure out how to rescue her friends still in the underground with the Dwellers. And Garrett her step dad
I was given this book in return for an honest review. This is the best in the series so far! I loved it! Lots of surprises in this one! Quite a few twists!!! Elaine has made it to Wompitt and is working to find a way to rescue her friends. This book is fast moving and things happen rapidly. I am very excited and anxiously awaiting Book 3!!!!
I received this book for free for an honest review. This is an amazing addition to the Flamestone Trilogy. This tells the story of Elaine after she gets away and to safety. She continues to be the awesome heroine I have cone to love. Even when things go bad she sticks to her purpose and works toward saving her friends from her evil, leader of the society, stepfather Garrett.

Several unexpected plot twists add to the already wonderfull story! Survival, a conspiracy, courage, friendship and moral all add to the mix and make this trilogy worth your while. Wow!! I love this book!!! Elaine is a ferrous young lady and I can't get enough!! The Flamestone Society doesn't stand a chance! I can't wait to read book three. To go through a cave into another world, what an amazing story. I just love reading Holly Hook's books. She has a new fan in me!!!
I was given this book for a honest review. What a great addition to the Flamestone series. I think I actually liked it more than Alone. Found kept me in suspense the whole book, and left me eager to find out what's going to happen next.
I got this book in exchange for an honest review. This was the second part of a brilliant series by holly hook. This was impossible to put down. Can't wait for more.
