I'm a pure American badass, and she's carrying my baby I've got enough in my jeans to satisfy any girl, but my heart only wants one of them. And she hates my guts. I can't blame her. My family ruined Kait's life, took everything she and her father had. I didn't know it back then, but Kait doesn't care. As far as she knows, I abandoned her and ran off to the Marines. Now I'm back, and the military has made me tougher, harder, and hotter than ever. You'd think they'd treat me like a hero, but everyone in town hates me and the cops won't stop screwing with me. Worse? If Kait's brother finds out that she's carrying my baby... he'll kill me. But I lost Kait once. I won't do that again.
**This brand new novella contains a hard bad boy marine who knows how to use his... skills! This romance collection is for fans of filthy smut and the hot guys who can't get enough of the women they love.**
A USA Today Bestselling Author, Nora Flite lives in Burbank, California where the weather is warm and she doesn't have to shovel snow—something she never grew to love in her tiny home-state of Rhode Island. All of her romances involve passionate, filthy, and slightly obsessive heroes.
Hearing about all the women he'd banged while being 'obsessed' with the h was a turnoff. I don't think this author is for me; most of her H's appear to be manhos and a bit in your face with it...

I received this ARC for an honest review. What I loved about this story was how balanced it was written. After the individual introduction's of Mal and Kait, the story just rolled along as it should for a novella. Mal's return and his reasons for completely dropping out of touch with Kait wasn't drawn out with the "why, or how could he?" nonsense. The way Kait dealt with his return was mature and level-headed. This story was a bit heartbreaking, a touch of sexy, and mostly heartwarming, as the two main characters try to move ahead and start a life that was clearly meant for them. Nice job ~ enjoyable storyline ~ lovable H & h ~ just wished it was longer ~
Love how the first chapter was all about the many women he has been with all while loving and pining away for the h. Lol these books kill me. I find it impossible to believe in a HEA when you have this scum sucking pig as the H. He disappeared for 8 years and didn't attempt to contact her or her brother in that time and he sure as hell didn't even attempt to keep it in his pants. I sure am glad I got to read about how much he enjoyed the many women he had in that time. I was even more stoked to hear about all the girls he paraded in front of h in high school. Dear author, sometimes less is more and reading less about his sexual history would have helped this tremendously.
This is a quick, sweet read about second chances and making up for past mistakes. Mal and Kait were childhood friends, and briefly step-siblings, when circumstances beyond their control caused them to be separated for 8 years. Mal has finally returned home and is determined to make things right with Kait. I enjoyed the fact that there wasn't a lot of long, drawn-out drama between the 2. Once they had a chance to discuss what had happened in the past, why Mal disappeared like he did, they were able to move on and the relationship that never really had a chance when they were teens was able to develop and grow into love. Mal is a sweetie, who never intentionally set out to hurt Kait. Although Kait's brother, who was Mal's best friend growing up, thought the worst of Mal, Kait didn't let that cloud or influence her feelings for him.

After 8 long years, Malik returns home to reclaim what is his. Kait has had a broken heart for just as long, but Mal is back to make things right. Past hurts and mistakes, he had no control over, come back to haunt him. He knew they would and he is prepared to do what it takes to win Kait's trust. Love will conquer all, right? Mal' s going to have his work cut out for him . Not only does he have to win Kait back, but also, her brother Brendan. Easier said than done. Kait is willing to forgive Mal. Brendan, not so much. This was a love story with redemption. Mal is a HOT, ALPHA MARINE with a soft spot for the only girl he's ever loved. Kait is SWEET, SHY AND SEXY and Mal hasn't been able to get her off his mind since the day he was forced to leave. These two meet their many obstacles head on. They fight for their love and make no apologies. The SEX between Mal and Kait is SCORCHING AND PASSIONATE ! Such great characters! LOVED IT !
3 1/2 Stars, This is a fun fast story some was a little over the top but I enjoyed it. I wish it was longer so that we could have had more of their story as well as Mal's brother but all in all a good story.
This book comes with two stories: OBSESSION (a novella about Malik and Kait); and OUTLAW ROAD (a full length MC novel about Ronin and Flora). Both stories are stand-alones and there is absolutely no connection between the two. It's just two stories for the price of one.
OBSESSION is told in dual POVS and, being a novella, the story of Malik and Kait is a quick one. That being said, I think the only event that seemed to come along too quickly was when they had sex, which was the first night Kait knows Malik's back in town. The rest of the story flowed quite nicely and not once did I feel like I was missing something or that "this part" would have been better if it was fleshed out a bit more. Everything was explained in the end, fences were mended and we got a very nice HEA.
OUTLAW ROAD is also told in dual POVs. I'll be honest, I'm not really a fan of MC reads and thought about not reading this one. But I had it there, so I thought "What the hell.". Overall, it wasn't a bad read and there was plenty of action, but I thought the relationship side of the story was a bit weak. I liked Ronin well enough, but Flora annoyed me a little with her constant poor choices. This one ends with an epic gun battle, the bad guys getting what they deserve, and a HEA.

I received this book as an Arc for an honest review. It was a short and hot book about Malik and Kait who see each other again after 8 years that Malik's been gone. Kait and her brother were friends so Malik and his mom stole money from their dad and split town. Malik didn't know what his mom did until after they left but circumstances made it difficult for him to return. Kait's brother blamed Malik for his fathers breakdown and subsequent death. Basically, Malik never stopped thinking about Kait and vice versa. Malik explains things to Kait and after a few beatdowns poor Malik received at the hands of Kait's brother, things work out for them all. It's a quick story of forgiveness and love never forgotten and of course the main event is Kait getting pregnant with Malik's baby. I really enjoyed this story.
This was like a mini mini story. It didn't go into much detail about the past, and the present happened so quick by the time you though the story was finally beginning it was the end.
Huh? Ok... So I completely understand that I was purchasing a Novella and that there was an included second novel at the end, however I didn't realise that the story I read the blurb for FINISHED at just 30%. I was disappointed from much earlier but kept thinking 'it's only 15/20/25% I'll give it a bit more and it might improve. Sadly it ended before that happened for me. And the second story didn't entice me as I'm not a big fan of MC romances (purely personal preference).
But other than the length of the novella I was disappointed by the story too. I honestly hate writing bad reviews and usually avoid them, but with every single review for this book with 3 or more stars, I thought there may be readers who would appreciate another point of view. (and this is purely my personal point of view which I'm sure will upset others) **possible light spoilers** Firstly the story was completely predictable, no twists, no turns or anything unexpected and amazingly smooth sailing for every character. There were obviously different moods, but I didn't feel that any of them were explored enough to create any feeling of angst for the reader which I enjoy. The title itself should have warned me, but the blurb gave me the impression that there would be more to it, but sadly it moved at an incredibly fast pace and 'told us' rather than 'showed us' about how the two main characters built their relationship. At one point there is a timeline introduced by a character saying 'in one month I will hear you out' then immediately on the next page it is 'one month later' and the author tells us their relationship has been great as they were communicating on the phone during that month and had some steamy conversations and they can't wait for the date. Then all of a sudden it's the date and as the reader I felt like I missed out on crucial moments that helped to build and shape the relationship. Then the feud between characters was all just resolved and concluded very fast with a pretty red bow and BANG the story is finished. The End.
Not enough depth for me and it wasn't because of the length of the story. I've read a number of novellas that have managed to blow my socks off but sadly this one didn't. If however you are looking for a simple story that you won't get too involved with, by all means, this one might be for you. And you'll even get a bonus MC story to boot.
And lastly... I agree with the other reviewer who asked about the title. I also don't understand the relevance. I wouldn't have linked this story with 'Obsession' nor 'secret' but that's just my opinion.

This is a quick novella Length type style type story about Kait was very much in love with her brother’s best friend and he was in love with her. Their love was new but intense when suddenly he disappeared out of her life for good it seems. Her brother and what was left of her family hated him. Kait was miserable because the man she loved up and left her with no warning. Now her man was back-Malik has returned home to his woman and is ready to explain what happened all those years ago . Malik knows his friendship with Kait’s brother is so broken but he wants to try and repair this as well. There is something that happened with Malik’s mother and Kait’s father 8+ years ago that caused him to have to leave and all the problems now. Malik didn’t know until after he and his mom left what had happened but the shame kept him away. Now he is ready to face his love and fight for their love. There are twists and turns in this story that keep you glued..you will root and root hard for Kait and Malik that they get their HEA. It’s hard though when Kait’s brother finds out Malik is back in town and he makes it really rough for them…things come to a head the night of the fire. Will Malik have to die for forgiveness to be had? What about Kait and her feelings? Her love never died for Malik and now her love has grown fruit…their baby. What is the outcome and will HEA be in the cards for them? I loved this quick and sexy story of the 2nd chance love story about two people who were victims or pawns in the fallout of what happened when their parents had an affair and then there was fallout. Kait was a fiery, independent and sweet girl who wanted to get her happiness and was willing to fight for it. Then there is Malik-he is one sexy alpha male who has seen some craziness in his life and has been a stand up brother. He is back in a place he would rather not come to, in order to get his girl because that is his one true love. You will swoon, and you will at times cry at how alpha Malik is. There is some great humor and there are some awesome action and suspense scenes –what a fantastic ride in the name of true love. This is an awesome story and am eagerly awaiting the next story by this author.
My rating: 4.8 stars *****

I really enjoyed the two books in one. The first one was a great short story, but did not prepare me for the bigger book to follow. I enjoyed both story lines and liked hearing about Kait and Malik and the obstacles they overcame. Especially once Brenden came into the picture. I could not imagine having to sneak around like they did, in the small town they lived in it must have been difficult. I was kind of impressed when Mal rose above his personal issues and treatment from Brenden to do what was necessary and show Kait he was truly the man she thought he was at one point in their lives from before. I really enjoyed reading about Ronin and Flora. He seemed like a lost man not caring about a single thing or himself. She seemed like a lost woman not knowing what she wanted but determined to help her sister at any cost, even her own life. Neither seemed to think much past what was going on in their lives. Ronin only did what he did with Flora because he was mad at the Knight's president. If he had not cheated I hate to think of what may have happened to Flora, and they way they helped each other and did what they could to look out for the other person, even when it conflicted with their personal agenda at the time. They helped each other grow, and get to where they needed to be, not just where they wanted to be. Ronin helping Flora and her sister was amazing to see. I liked the little bit of real life added in with Ronin/Connor being an ex-junkie to help show he understood everything and that the addiction never truly goes away. Also seeing the way it effected Flora when she was forced to use as a person that never used, made me want to stay that way. I am hoping for more Ronin and Flora, but this seemed to be wrapped up pretty tight at the end.
Obsession: A Bad Boy's Secret Baby My rating: 5 STARS
This was a beautiful and well-written story about redemption, second chances, hope, and starting over. The storyline is intriguing, and enthralling; with engaging, likeable characters that make this story believable. However, what I liked the most, is how the love and the passion surrounding Kait and Malik was almost tangible.
This is a short, quick, fabulous read with a HEA which I greatly loved and enjoyed, and “I highly recommend.”
I can’t wait to see what this amazing authors have for us next!
Outlaw Road by Nora Flite and Adair Rymer Status Read on June 04, 2015 My rating: 5 STARS
What an Amazing combo (Nora Flite & Adair Rymer). Nora Flite never seize to Amaze Me with her Wonderful Talent and Her Groovalicious Stories!
MC Stories were never my thing (I could never connect with the stories in the past, so I stop trying), but anything with Nora Flite's "signature", in my personal opinion is just PURE BRILLIANCE.
I loved the chemistry between the main characters, which as a result makes me fall deeper in love with this captivating story! I couldn't put the damn book down. Great stories draw you in and leave you thirsty for more.
So, I can officially announced that "This is where my addiction for MC Romance begins, so this two Fabulous Authors better be ready with more!"
P.S. This brand new novella contains an ENTIRE bonus standalone novel: Outlaw Road, which I bought separately, and is worth any money!
If you want a quick feel good romance book Obsession fits the bill. It was about wo people who were pulled apart when they were teenagers and now after eight years they are finally having their second chance. Malik and Kait’s story has you hoping that they will give each other a chance at true happiness.
Malik was torn away from Kait all those years ago by his mother who had wronged Kait’s family to the point of having her dad commit suicide. Brendan was Kait’s brother and Malik’s best friend back then but now Brendan holds Malik responsible for his father’s death. Once Malik hits town again Brendan swears that there is no way he is letting his former best friend anywhere near his sister. He couldn’t stand to see her hurt all over again from the one guy she loved with all her heart.
Is Malik willing to take everything that Brendan hands out in order to get his shot at trying again with Kait? Even if it was Malik’s mother who made him leave back then in the dead of the night without a trace does Malik really have a legitimate excuse for being gone so long without any contact? Kait also has a surprise of her own for Malik. Is this surprise something that Malik will stick around for or is this the time for him to run again?

Obession: A bad Boys Secret Baby is a Novella Book of a second chance love story. Malik Long and Kait Sutherland thought they were promised forever, but fate stepped in and they were torn apart and their lives were separated. Eight years pass before they were reunited and everyone and everything was against them. “It was the smile of a phantom from my past that made the whole world pause. Mal was back.”
“I just wanted a perfect night with the Mal I loved eight years ago. In the moment I didn't care that it all might be a lie. I just wanted that little bit of hope. Was that so wrong?”
Mal had changed so much. He'd always been the boy of my dreams growing up, but what I saw now was so much more than that. Here was a man unlike any I'd ever seen before and that thrilled the hell out of me. I may have loved him and then hated him, but I've always desired him.
Was there actually hope for us, for two people ripped out of time and thrown back together in a world that couldn't allow it? If she wasn't willing to give me a chance, she'd never have gotten on my bike. We were together finally. That was all that mattered. At least for the moment.
This is a second chance romance novella that throws two people back together and whatever wants to keep them apart fate has other plans.

Is her long lost friend came back or is she really seeing things. ARC was given for a honest review
Oh my goodness. What a cracker of a story. I just knew it would be a roller coaster of an emotional ride. Malik and Kait knew each other as kids, and Malik and Kait's brother were best friends. Malik's mother betrayed Kait's family, forcing Malik to leave Kait behind, and not return for 8 years. All he wanted was to return to Kait, but his whack job of a selfish mother used his brother Kyle as a means to keep him away from Kait, so as not to get her into trouble for what she did. Malik goes his best friend Brendan's wedding, and reunites with Kait. She is very reserved, as this was the only way to protect herself and live every day without Malik. The story continues with a lot of drama and action. It made my heart hurt, the way they treated Malik, without knowing the whole story. Another thrilling and captivating book that I could not help but read in 1 sitting. I just cannot get enough of these books.
From the very first few pages of this sweet and sexy and sometimes intense little novella, I was hooked. What was not to love? A tough and tender former Marine, a strong, beautiful but loyal woman and some family ties that are hard to break or repair when smashed to bits by past troubles. It had a lot of heart and a lot of steamy scenes (with this writing duo I would expect no less) and intelligent, thoughtful dialogue that didn't annoy me when it very well could have lapsed into melodramatic nonsense. Another hit from the women who brought me Outlaw Road as well as their solo books (I have read them individually as well as their joint projects)...and although it was too short, it packed a big emotional punch. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
**** 4 **** "forgive, move on and fall all over again" stars
Great story about love and forgiveness. Malik had grown up in the same house as Brendan and Kait when his mother dated their father. One day, his mother took off with him and his brother Kyle. It was years later when he found out that his mother had stolen all of Kait's father's money when she ran off. Threatened with the loss of his brother Kyle, he kept his mouth shut. But now, 8 years later, he is back and wanting to see Kait. Brendan has other ideas on his mind. He hates Malik for what they did to his father and being a policeman now, has the guys watching Malik and beating him up. He took whatever had had to take to prove to Kait that he was not going away again. Would Brendan ever forgive him for what his mother did and accept that he loves Kait. This short novella was a nice little story that kept me interested the entire time. You will love it!!!
*ARC received in return for an honest review* I enjoyed this short little romance. It features an tough as nails ex-Marine, Malik, who has been separated from his true love, Kait, for eight years, but now he's back to claim her, and no one is going to stop him, not even the cops who are out to get him, who include Kait's brother Brendan, Mal's former best friend. Brandon might want to kill him if he finds out Kait is pregnant, but Mal wants his best friend back too, and isn't afraid to risk his life to accomplish that. This is book includes a bonus novel, Outlaw Road, which I never read before, but loved.
It's been 8 years! 8 long years since Malik long and his family left town leaving behind a life of lies, deceit, and broken hearts.
Kait never thought she'd see Mal again...so seeing the mirage of him at her brothers wedding she once again thought she was dreaming! If only that were true. In a tale of fast love and forgiveness the 2 rekindle what they once had since now after one time there's a baby on the way!
I loved this short read but it was just that! Too short! I wish there was more and everything worked out more slowly for the 2! But I loved it none the less!
These two authors are both absolutely amazing! But when you put them together? Fireworks! I absolutely loved this story! Such a gut wrenching can love be found again type romance straight from the heart. Kait and Mal were truly in love, but things had happened that he had no choice but to leave. Not knowing exactly what had happened many years ago , and kaits brother especially doesn't want him anywhere near his sister again. There's only one huge thing that may hold the it together. That's a baby. Will they do anything for love or will Mal have to end it all ? This is a really fantastic storyline, something felt so real, the characters fit well ,and the details were fantastic
A mother that destroyed everything and a son that would give anything to set things right
Malik has come back to town to secretly attend Brendan's wedding. They were best friends until his mother ruined it all. His sister Kait was his love and even she hates him.
Kait must be seeing things. She swears she is seeing Mal, but surely her eyes are lying to her.
These two are still very much in love but can they get past what their family had been through.
This was truly a delightful book. Beautifully written with a great storyline.
Circumstances beyond his control forced him to leave & not return until now. Drawn back to his hometown after many years away, Malik comes back for girl he couldn't forget. Kait couldn't forget either. Because of "the scandal", they have to keep their love a secret. Take this journey with them as they go up against the odds (and almost everyone in town), to fulfill their dream of being together. Will their love be enough to pull them through? I Promise You won't be disappointed with this romantic, sexy (quick) read. Great collaboration of Adair Rymer & Nora Flite.
This book is a very good book. I was able to read it in one sitting (about 2 hours). Very easy and quick read. The book had nice intrigue and turns that keep you wondering what really happened. Malik's story is one that is left to piece together as time goes on and Kait is pretty much an open book on how her story goes. It created a great mix leading to a good plot. Lots of loving. The only part that I did not like, per say, was that the book seemed to end rather abruptly. It seemed like it climaxed and then it was over. It did have a good ending which made it okay.
Malik left town and broke a promide eight year ago. Now he was back but why. What or who made him want to return. He had one person he could never forget.
Kait was friends with Malik. They were close as family. They were almost family. Her dad and his mom but then something caused the families to be ripped apart. Now he was back. Would she learn the truth about what happened would she for give him.
