About the author

While Parker Mayhem isn't her real name, she deemed the change necessary since she considered her real name too ordinary and forgettable to “slap on the front of books”. Parker started writing young and managed to make it a small, but lucrative business, trading story for pudding or pocket change in grade school. This lasted through junior high and into high school where her fellow students would pay or barter goods for a custom story written through their school planners. She later said farewell to her young fiction career to focus her studies on more “grown up” things like automotive technology and technical sales. After leaving college Parker tried out several jobs including ground equipment mechanic for a commercial airline, where she once caught a small kangaroo, and some seasonal clerical work for the government where, more often than not, they made box forts and played card games. Time went on and nothing seemed to be the perfect fit. Her love of writing reared it's ugly mug again and she couldn't ignore the siren’s call.
So here we are.
Parker currently lives with her wife and daughter in Utah where they run a paranormal investigation group and frequently make impulsive “not so grown up” decisions, like following passion and making a career writing books on the interwebs.

In the mood for a little dub-con F/f? Look no further. This kinky dub-con kicks off a five part series. In this first one, Skylar and Kallie are caught by the owner of their company, Luce. The set up of this is a little weak for blackmailing unless there is a morality clause at the office. Still, it brings into play the fun of dub-con with Skylar getting double teamed by both her lover and the head boss.

This is where it goes downhill. Even though Luce says she doesn't want to come between the two women, she is a LYING CUNT. Luce wants Skylar for her very own pet and she abuses her authoritative position to get Skylar alone and dependent on her. For those who are looking for a sweet romance, this is not the book for you. For those who enjoy dark stories where it is highly questionable if consent is really being given, this is the spank-bank material for you.

The sex scenes in here are rather light. They are a bit edgier because of the possibility of being caught. The impact scenes are not too heavy, just right. The mind games is really what may cause people to be flipped out. Still, the scenes are alluring enough I want to read the next book. There is very little world building or plot. Well, other than Luce being a homewrecker and wanting to steal someone else's submissive. Recommended for f/f readers who want a little "alone time" material.

This book contains bdsm elements, making it a dark romance. 18+ only. I read this book because of the title, and I have to say I am disappointed there is no captivity in this book. If the title and book cover represented the book properly, it could have had at least had another star, but I don't agree with dangling my favorite trope in front of me and not providing it.
The writing was decent: not many grammatical errors, yet it still seemed a bit amateurish. There was no depth to the characters. I don't really care about any of them. Maybe this is the author's first book?
There is no ending. Just a thought as to 'what's going to happen next?'
I will check out the next book only to see if my favorite trope shows up. Other than that, I feel no reason to continue this series. And I certainly wouldn't continue if it wasn't KU.

The storyline is good, although luce is your classic homewrecker who saw what she wanted and took it

It lost 1.5 stars due to the writing. The overuse of the word "girl" or "woman" threw me out of the reading.

Spoiler Ahead This was a short quick read that I wanted more of. Skylar’s life was a drug addled mess until her long distance mistress insisted she leave her shady past and move in. Now, in a new city, Kallie bends the rules to get Skylar a job so she can keep an eye on her and keep her under control. One evening while doing a scene in a BDSM club Luce Sullivan who is on the prowl looking for a new sub sees them and she wants Skylar and she knows just where to find them. I hate Luce she used her power against Kellie and Skylar. This was a short quick read that I wanted more out of the sex scenes were violent and graphic and although I don't read a lot of F/F this was an ok read although I didn't like the cliffhanger. The book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Intense

I enjoyed it as it took an interesting turn. It is a good read and not just about sexual aspect of the story.
