Jet's peaceful existence in Kosovo is shattered when unexpected enemies surface to settle old scores and make her pay in blood. Spanning the globe from Russia to Syria to Romania to Washington, nothing is as it seems, and her adversaries will stop at nothing to destroy her and the new life she, Matt, and Hannah, have built.
I hate that Jet and Matt aren't able to find peace, that people keep coming after them. The only good thing about this is that these adventures show case Jet's skills and how she seems to get the better of everyone. I continually be stunned about the jams that Jet gets into. Like how Jet ended up in Russian jail. While any jail is a bad place I can only imagine that a Russian jail would be a very bad place. Of course Jet managed to find the one person that could help her escape and get out of Russia. But things weren't straight up, Jet managed to cause a lot of upset and get the person that caused this latest drama in her life. While I really like seeing Jet's skills, I hate that Matt is on the sidelines with Hannah. I know someone has to take care of her, but I would like to see Matt and Jet work together again.
OK so this was not quite the scary ride of earlier capers but still Jet and her family are threatened by others who have agendas initially unknown to either her or Matt.......but what it does is lead to a separation with Matt & Hannah hiding out and Jet trying to escape cature and then identify who wanted her so badly. It ends calmly without too many issues but also leaves the door open for more people to chase them...........a quieter read but still well written and engaging.......roll on the next episode! :)
'Incarceration' was a great story. The premise is different for Jet , and that makes it intriguing. Jet is thrown into some pretty hairy situations. Jet being the bad-ass that she is, she always comes out on top. I like that the author tests Jet in different scenarios and it seems to make her stronger, both mentally and physically. I look forward to reading more. A great add to your tbr list.
Jet and Matt are safe again... for a while? We’ll see. But, Blake has made me feel like I’m part of the book each time. He pulls me in with his wordsmithing. There is always a line here or there that just says something in a way that shows that he is a man with talent! On to #11
They are pursuing Jet with mighty power. And they'll stop at nothing. From Russia to Syria to Romania to Washington, her adversaries will seek to destroy her.
I'm so caught up in this series. It's fast-moving. The plot keeps me interested, as I can't put the book down. Jet's an interesting character, seemingly not afraid of anything. I ready for the next book.
This is one that gets off to a slow start. Almost 10% into it before Jet and Matt are revealed. A lot of character introduction. Other than that weak point, once they come into the picture the story builds into a riveting tale. The action commences and you are off to the races. Jet has some harrowing close calls but it is a great read.5
Just when they think that they're finally safe, their world comes crashing down in the form of their pasts. It's going to take some serious luck to get through their current situations, but hopefully they'll be able to, as well as be together again soon. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Once again, Russell Blake brings us an exciting thriller with one of my favorite characters - Jet. She's got mad skills, a quick intellect, and the survival instincts of a panther. Her adventures are just fun to read and completely enthralling. Another great read that was fast and fun.
Enjoyed the story, very sad for her daughter and wondering if taking her from the other family was the right thing to do considering she is constantly in peril and being uprooted.
This is a nonstop action imagining horrific events in Russia and Ukraine but it appears that this series may have come to a conclusion as the pursuing organizations may have finally realized they have met their match?
This is one of the most believable stories in the Jet saga. Not so much over the top activity and heroics seen in most of the other books in the series.
The peace that Jet, her daughter, and Matt have found is shattered when they're found...again. How did this happen? Who's behind the discovery? The only thing Jet knows is that she's been caught and ends up in a Russian prison cell. She hopes desperately that Matt and Hannah escaped the same discovery. Now she needs to escape, evade, and get back to her family. But...who's still after her?
This tenth book is a catch-22. I was happy that they'd all found a semblance of peace and safety, but I'm glad that this tenth book came out! There are still people connected to the villains that Jet had to defeat and they've locked on to her. But threatening a mother's family...will they ever learn?
Mr. Blake still has it, writing fast action, impossible odds, emotional twinges, and an unbelievable pace around the world! This series is still a MUST read and I wholeheartedly recommend it! Extremely well done!
so Is it the final? IDK! Anyway, I thought Russell Blake had quit his annoyingly long painfully dragged out setting descriptions...alas it's not to be. Page 1 and it's all here again. Yikes. It can only improve though! I have enjoyed the series to date.... on I go! anyhow, decent read this round in the end, much less family bullshit and more action and spy work. what a drama this round too! this is book 10, no info anywhere on this is the Jet series completed or not. even tweeted the author but to no avail. my guess is it is, but a final book usually tells ya.... what's up Mr Blake?
The first half of this book was a disappointment. How many times will the author dig up yet another relation who desperately wants revenge against Jet. I had hoped the last book had cleared them all away and we could start a new adventure, he is really ‘flogging a dead horse’. I’m also getting fed up of reading a series where the heroine only makes guest appearances, instead there are numerous chapters about corrupt officials and amoral villains. Fortunately the second half of the book was a big improvement because it concentrates on Jet.
Another action packed explosive mystery thriller from Russell Blake. Jets and Matt's past resurfaces. Someone again is trying to eliminate them, for good. The Russian brother of one of Jets assassinations, has vowed to kill her. Matt is also targeted. But for similar actions in his past life. A full array of sinister villains laced with deceit and betrayal. A stupendous read!!!
Jet, along with Matt and Hannah, continues her attempt to 'retire' from the covert action business. After a few months of relative peace and quiet in Kosovo, she again finds herself on the radar of her enemies. With her options diminishing, how long can she continue to avoid them? INCARCERATION, while it has a lot of action, from central Europe to the Central African Republic to Syria to Moscow, just doesn't have the zip and zing of the previous books.
Fast-paced, written in a way that the reader feels like they're in the scene and not reading a story, Jet Incarceration is another great, action-packed addition to the JET series. In fact, I think it's the best JET yet!
This book was a good quick read! Jet has her hands full in this story! I don't want to give any spoilers, but will say I am eager for the next book in this series!
Fast-paced winner again. A little confusing at times with the side stories that didn't involve Jet or Matt directly. Not as much collateral damage as usual, which I liked.
