Hooker is the story of Jade, a high class call girl, and Brock, the man she want's but can't have. She got into the life when she turned eighteen and learned that her adoptive mom didn't take her in because she needed a home, but rather because she was beautiful and would grow up to be a stunning woman. Trained from a young age to act a certain way, dress a certain way, and to behave a certain way, Jade had no idea it was all for her future career in sex. On her eighteenth birthday she could have ran, left the life that was trying to be forced upon her. But to where? She had no friends, or other family, and she had no money. So she stayed, and now she's a hooker.
Brock grew up very different from Jade. He was wealthy and free to do what he wanted. And now that he's older he's rich with his own wealth and can have anything he wants. Which currently is Jade. He doesn't care about her circumstances, he want's her and would do anything to have her.
I really liked these characters and their story was one that had me forgetting reality for a few hours. Jade was a strong person to go through a life like that and yet still have a positive outlook on life. She took her pleasures where she could get them, even little things like a snickers bar, and never took life for granted. Brock was so badass to not care about Jade's past, and instead focused on helping her get out of her present life. I liked that there wasn't any drama when he found out about her profession, and it made me life his character so much more.
Their story was suspenseful, sexy as hell, and sometimes so sweet it will make your heart skip a beat. It was told in dual POV which really made the book stand out by allowing us to get both Jade and Brock's perspective. Bottom line, I enjoyed this reading experience and I think it's a book many will like.

This is nothing like what I expected from this author, Jade has had the most horrific life imaginable, just when she thinks life has given her a break, think again, her life before now had nothing on what she's enduring on a daily basis under the care of M.
I'm a princess, and my new home is a castle.
Jade can't believe her luck when someone finally adopts her after being shunted from one foster home to the next for the past eleven years. Her mother sadly died hemorrhaging during child birth so Jade has been in the system ever since.
Over the years, I've been inappropriately touched, mentally and physically abused, and almost sent to the brink of starvation by one incredibly cruel family I was unlucky to be placed with.
Eleven M sent jade to elocution lessons, and on weekends she attended one of the finest finishing schools money could buy.
When Jade turned fourteen, she was allocated a personal trainer to make her stay in shape
It wasn't until Jade turned eighteen when it all became clear, M was grooming her, she was shaped and groomed into her new life as a high class escort.

I LOVED these two characters, Jade was strong, tough, and so so like-able, I connected with her character on all levels. Even though life threw many hardships her way she didn't let them define the person she was within.

WAY too instalove for me. It skipped their dialogue with things like "we talked for hours" or "we were captivated with each other" type of statements instead. We only got very little (if any) actual quality interactions. It felt like I was told they had a connection instead of feeling it. When they were already smitten after 2 partial days of these types of statements and a sex scene with very little for me to connect with, I just didn't understand their profound connection (AND after only a few chapters!!). I know lots of people like instalove in stories, but it's just not for me...

When I read some time ago excerpt to Hooker, I was absolutely certain that I have to read this book. I was captured right away and I could not wait to see how this story develops. And despite some gaps, I was not disappointed.
About the plot: Jade life was not easy. She was shifting from one foster home to another, harassed and abused. So one day, when she was eleven and was adopted by a rich woman named Madam Melody, she hoped that her life finally change for the better. Since that time, Jade had everything: the best clothes, a big house, the best possible education. From street child become a lady, but never experienced mother's love. Everything became clear when she turned eighteen and found out that for everything she will have to pay. With her body. M owned the most exclusive, high-class escort agency, and she became her protege for next seven years.
Now Jade had two more years of the contract and her only free time is a week of vacation, during which, still under the rules and bodyguard, she can go and have seemingly her own free time. During her trip to New York, she meets Brock Weston. They have a few random contacts at the airport and on the plane, but when he sees her in his hotel intends to use the opportunity to meet the woman who drew his attention. He is smitten with her, when she discovers that behind the facade of a sophisticated woman hides delicate and funny girl about which he wants to learn more about.
They have a short but wonderful time together, which must end with the back to real life. The universe, however, has its own plan for it. And they will meet again, and their lives will never be the same again.
Final thoughts: This is a wonderful emotional book with a dark twist. It's definitely suspense, lots of action and some dangerous events. It's all kept in tension until the very end. Some things probably too easily have been resolved, but the plot keeps more to romance than criminal aspects. Jade and Brock relationship doesn't have easiest path, and they will have to cope with many bumps along the way. You will not have a problem with stay engaged to the plot.
I really like the heroine of this story. On the one hand she was a prostitute and was able to keep up elegant and refined appearance, but behind closed doors was a simple, sweet, even an innocent girl. Damaged and enslaved. Her story can break the heart. It's easy to like and cheer for her to get free from this life. And Brock in this story is her real hero.
What is cool in the Perry's books, is that the story doesn't end right after as the problems was solved. We have the opportunity to read more about how the characters are doing before the start of the epilogue. And this is nice. Especially if you like the story and don't want to end it. And I very much I like a romantic HEA, which has been written here.

The title says it all, this book had me hooked and I read it in one sitting. I loved this sinfully seductive story with all the feels and an incredibly romantic vibe. J.L. Perry’s writing and storytelling were just perfect for me. This was my first book by her, but it will obviously not be my last.
As a child, Jade Davis thought she was cursed. Her mother died in childbirth and her father abandoned her when she was a few months old. Since then, she has spent her life in various foster homes. As time goes by, she has abandoned all hope of a better life, but she is a little survivor, with a strong character. When she is handpicked for adoption by Melody Sinclair, she thinks that her happy days have finally come. But she is wrong, she has been chosen based on her looks, and even if her new home is luxurious, it lacks affection just like the others did. In reality, her new mother professional name is “Madam Melody”, M, and she intends to groom her to become a high-class escort. At eighteen, Jade is forced to sign a contract binding her to M for the next seven years, in order to pay her back for her education.
She has been trapped in this miserable escort life for five years, when she is allowed to travel to Paris for her one-week yearly holiday. At the airport, she crashes into Brock Weston, a wealthy businessman with the same travel destination as her. It’s love at first sight for both of them. Brock is tender, charming, confident and used to getting his own way. He gives Jade a taste of what her life might be like if she was free of M.
Brock is desperate to show her how special she is to him. He wants to protect her and intends to buy her freedom, he truly is her knight in shining armor. But Jade is scared of M’s reaction. And obviously, she is right. M is a twisted, evil and dangerous character. She refuses to give up without a fight and has no qualms about resorting to violence.
This book was everything that I love. It consumed me from the first word to the last. The author’s writing is exquisite, romantic and spellbinding. I got lost in this beautiful, suspenseful and sexy story and will definitely re-read it in the future.

So the story basically follows Jade and Brock and how they met and fell in love with each other.
Jade is an orphan and has had a quite rough childhood and was forced into prostitution since the age of 18. Brock on the other hand is a Casanova, he hooks up with his staff and other people until he met Jade and everything changes for both of them....
The story was kinda emotional because I shed some tears.
The plot itself was really amazing.

The story was kinda emotional because I shed some tears.
The plot itself was really amazing.

I am very confused about my feelings about this book because the first half of the book was like 10 stars for me. I was feeling euphoric having found that book but then, the second half of the book was something like 2,5 stars in comparison. Go figure my disappointment and confusion!
This book is about the tragic life story of a sweet girl who has to sell herself as a prostitute/an escort girl for the rich. She cannot run away from her chains.
There comes our hero, the real knight in shining armor, into her life.
This is the story of Jade & Brock.
What Jade and Brock have seems to be something exquisite, something very real and special but she leaves him knowing what she is and how impossible that relationship is.
Then, fate somehow brings them together again. This time, Brock knows her reasons. Although there are huge barriers between them, he is determined to save her from her keeper and make her his.
The first half of the book keeps you on edge and I read the first half breathless, hoping for the best for the poor girl who never wanted this life. This first part of the book made me feel so much. I cried for her tragic life and I felt all the sadness, the hopelessness and the unfair side of fate. Then, I saw the glimpse of hope with their insta-love and all the deep feelings the hero and heroine felt for each other.
Theirs was lust/love at first sight but I believed in it. It was convincing enough. However, theirs was a nearly impossible love to blossom in the awful conditions she had to live in. So, I had a million theories of things that may go wrong and some more theories as to how a happy ending they may have.
The thing is after the first half of the book, things started to go too easy peasy and too smoothly for my taste. I felt that the story lost all its tension and the second half was mainly a very long happy end. Major problems were solved easily, the problems I thought would arise never became an issue (??!!). So, it all turned out to be a sweet fairy tale like romance in the second half after the dark and tragic past story that dominated the first half of the book.
The other woman story felt like much too forced. (Safety: there is no cheating on his part but there is her occupation on her part).
And lastly, there were too many coincidences in the second half as to how their lives were in fact connected.
I have one more criticism. I needed to read more dialogues between them as to her past life, how they can survive the reactions of other people etc and I definitely needed more inner dialogues as to how he feels about her past and how he overcomes his feelings of disturbance. What I got was a few sentences as to how angry and sad he felt and then, how he couldn’t live without this woman. I would have appreciated more depth there. I like dialogues more than the sum-up of feelings and thoughts.
Still, it is a decent book to read. I thought for a long time whether I should give it a 3 or 4 stars and because the first half of the book was so good that I finally decided to go with 4 stars out of 3,5.

Oh, J.L. Perry has done it again! She’s made me fall in love with her stories, and I'm officially addicted to them.
Jade thought her happiness was about to start with finally being adopted, but little did she know, it would honestly be the beginning of her worse nightmare. I hated Melody with such a passion for doing this to Jade, but when I started to think about it, I realized this was a realistic thing for many.
Brock's living life to the fullest, and that means getting off with whomever he wants and hey, they know that he's not going to offer them anything but a good time. But when he bumps into Jade at the airport, he realizes he's been missing out on the "real life".
Jade and Brock have an AMAZING night that binds them whether they realize it or not. Though Jade believes nothing will come out of it, little does she know that Brock will do ANYTHING to keep her with him, and let me say that he plays dirty!! Whew.

They say you usually know by the first sentence if you are going to love a book but I knew when I read the Epigraph.

Hooker is told by Jade and Brock's POV. I loved reading from both of their POVs. It was so fitting for this book. What I wasn't expecting was the roller-coaster of emotions that J.L. Perry was going to take me through. This is not your typical contemporary romance. It has suspense with some dark elements. J.L. had me feeling ill at times, biting my nails, screaming at my kindle, swooning and getting hot and bothered, screaming again and feeling compassion. Then at the end, when I didn't think my heart couldn't take it anymore she healed it.
We start off with Jade's childhood and we know by the blurb that she's had it rough. My heart just breaks for her with everything that she went through and continued going through in her early adulthood. When she thinks life is finally looking up for her, it throws her another curveball. I hate Melody and everything she stands for. They say people are put in our lives for a reason but I think the devil put Melody in Jade's life. As in this instance, J.L. Perry.
I absolutely LOVE Jade! She's such a strong character and she embraces her fate like a queen. She's a strong, independent woman. No matter what happened, she held her head up high and got through like a pro. Even though it was hard at times she never let it get her down and I admire her for that.
"Plain old Jade Davis, the orphan-the kid nobody wanted-the hooker. The person who, until he came along, was sure she was unlovable. He could have anyone he wanted but thankfully he wants me."
We are introduced to Rupert early on in Hooker also. I usually don't write about secondary characters but he plays a huge role in Jade's life. Near the end of the book we learn a lot about him and why he's working for M. I fell in love with the compassion and protectiveness he has for Jade but after reading his story my heart went out to him even more.
Brock is from a different world than Jade. He's from money. Has a job that is not being a hooker. But his family life just sucks. His dad is a prick. I loved Brock right off the bat. He knows what he wants and he goes after it with respect and boundaries. We see the gentleman side of him even though we know by reading his side of the story he is anything but. He's handsome and women flock at his feet but we don't hear about his exploits much. Can he handle all of Jade's skeletons? You will have to read to find out. Despite the quotes above, true to the book, they tease us and often may mislead us.
Hooker was/is another of my top reads so far for 2016! J.L. Perry had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book and I couldn't read it quick enough! This is a must read for any fans of Ms. Perry!

Failed to understand the developement

Fmc adopted (age 9) fmc beautiful so she was taught in best shcolls, wearinf the finest clothes, having best food, gyms ect>>>>>> Be a hoker, YES!
The adoptive mother groomed her and slapped her with a 7 years sexual contract to pay with her body for all the money the mother spent during childhood.
Fmc had of course a terrible first sexual experience at the hands of an old pervert and only one man was it for her. That was the finish of the prologue indicating her meeting (in first chapter hopefully) the Mmc after 5 years of being a hooker.
First chapter opens up with her going into a hotel AND we have the details of that horrible first sex experience. Why the time whiplash?
Then we read about Mmc having a woman who works for him blowing him under the desk. Of course because the Mmc is soooooo handsome that can't be statutory rape!
Our Mmc can have any woman he wants and he has "dark past" yada yada. Fmc never had an orgasm and she hates men. Yet they meet at the airport and they are both smitten.
They have sex. She does not tell him about her job. Runs away. He sees her at the hands of a man and learns about her job. Insults her and a second they make love declaring "you're mine" that was in like page 90 of 380 pages book.
Don't care what happens next. They are both stupid.

Persze, Jade annyira különleges szépség, hogy csak őt hozza ki a Madame az árvaházból. Hóóógyne. El is higgyjem. Meg Rupert is maradhatott az állásában azok után? Having already read her best seller “Bastard”, I didn't hesitate when given a chance to read her latest work. Since reading “Hooker” I can say that Jade and Brock made quite the impression. They are hot, mysterious, and full of suspense that keeps readers on their toes. Perry did it again bringing us another steamy read that leaves us guessing and captivated till the very end.
Jade Davis has grown up always fulfilling others demands, first from social workers when she was moved from home to home, then her adoptive mother which soon leads to giving any man pleasure that pays for the privilege. Living her life with no control over anything including what she eats and what gentlemen she spends time with, Jade quickly becomes enamored with the devastatingly handsome Brock Weston. If only seeing him and feeling the way that she does about him was allowed. Can she ever have a normal life and love that brings her happiness or will she forever be under someone else's control? Jade is the perfect combination of sexy, sophistication, and wide eyed innocence to immediately capture and hold Brock's interest. Perry walks us through Jade's past and shows us first hand how much abuse and loneliness one person can endure and still find love. I was fascinated to see Jade shed her sophisticated seductress role and reveal the down to earth woman underneath who loves her comfy t-shirts, jeans, forbidden snickers bars, and the mouth-watering combination of pizza and beer.

5 star Review Hooker by J.L. Perry
This was a new author to me and I have to say I have no idea why. This is one of those books that I did not want to put down. I was riveted from the first to the last page. Hooker is told in dual points of view from Brock and Jade and I think this really works well.
Brock comes from a privileged background and is the head of his family’s company. They say money can’t always buy happiness and this is true in Brock’s case. A strained relationship with his mother, loathing his father, his brother is the only family that Brock wants to have anything to do with.
Jade is a product of the foster care system gone terribly wrong, she has been forced into the life of a high class Hooker by her adopted mother M; she hates her life and the only bright spots in it are Rupert, her driver who has become a friend.
The only break she gets from her regime is when she is allowed to go on holiday a couple of times a year to either New York or Paris. Even then M controls as much of that as she possible can. After buying a Snickers bar, she bumps into Brock at the airport and they are both instantly attracted to each other.
Despite her attraction Jade knows nothing can come of it, after all she has another 2 years left on her contract with M and she knows what happens when someone tries to defy her. When fate ensures these two meet again in New York, what Jade doesn’t count on is Brock’s determination to keep seeing her.

I was so invested with this book that I truly hope that J.L. Perry considers writing a follow up book.

I finished this book, and my reaction- "What the fuck did I just read? What was the point of this fucking awful book? What the hell was the fucking genre?".
Imagine finishing up a book and not knowing what was the fucking genre which is supposed to be the essence of any book. Was it an erotic thriller? Romance? Action? Sci. Fi.? The only thing I can be sure of is that it wasn't either of the last two.
Erotic? Talking cringy-ass-shit while having sex doesn't turn anyone on, honey. Even I, a virgin, know that.
Thriller? Kidnapping someone then being found in like a day without a fight, without anything making your heart race isn't thriller.
Romance? Fuck, this book tried to be over-romantic... Both characters kept telling each other and themselves how incomplete they were without the other one, how much they love each other, how they can't imagine a world without the other etc. etc. Like, dude, chill... You love each other, we get it.. no need to tell us about that on EVERY FUCKING PAGE.
This book failed to leave a mark on me. At first look, I actually thought it would turn out to be something good, something about finding yourself anew... Technically it was about that but the cringe worthy shit overpowers the good stuff. The characters barely grow and this book supports the notion of the ancient society- Girl is all elegance and kindness and beautiful and vulnerable, boy is hot and the over-protective bastard who saves the weak girl.
This book fails to make you laugh, cry or feel anything but frustration.. if love is like this, I say- No, thanks. Think I'll pass.
This novel actually could've been something fantastic, because the roots of the story are good... The dark past of both the characters could have been culminated into something of a wonder for a story, but the author refuses to take any risks and makes the story a typical Bollywood film + sex.
So, gist- a bloody awful novel, which sucked far more than can be articulated into words.

I enjoyed this book and it is a lot more than what I was expecting from this story. It does have some darker elements to it, especially at the beginning, but is not too graphic in detail. From the beginning I was pulled into Jade’s story and enjoyed the twists along the way.
Jade is a great character, she has had an awful start in life and just when you thought things may be working out for her the person that should have had her best interests at heart betrays her in the worst way. Jade is made to work as a hooker of the high class kind and it is not a life she enjoys despite the luxurious trappings it comes with it. Despite this she has an innocent somewhat naive element to her character which is endearing though she is a lot stronger than you would expect.
Brock is just yummy; I wasn’t sure of him at first as he seemed the typical CEO type with the world at his feet and a privileged life but we soon learn that he has his own issues. He was just perfect for Jade and I loved that he struggled with his feelings for her but went all out to get her. I loved that even after hearing of Jade's vocation he still wanted to have more with her.
Jade and Brock’s story starts as a one night stand after a chance meeting but mainly revolves around the horrible world Jade had been dragged into and the fallout of the actions of M the madam that had her in her grip. It gave this book a great suspense edge to it though some solutions to what could have been quite intense situations fell a bit flat for me but then they may not have fit the story. There is a host of great characters in this book too, especially Rupert who my heart broke for, including some rather nasty ones that you want to do an injury.
Overall another great flawlessly written book from this author, who I always enjoy reading.

J. L. Perry has a way with words that will keep you hooked from the first page of her books.
Sensual, intriguing, romantic and passionate, Hooker is one of those books that will keep you on the edge until the very last page!
This is a beautiful romance between a very sexy man and a beautiful woman who's been suffering since very young.
Almost like a fairy tale, they meet, they lust, they fall in love... but nothing is as easy as it seems. They will struggle and fight for their love, they will stand for their beliefs and they will find happiness in each other's arms.
I LOVED Brock!! Boy... what a wonderful man! His confidence, his protective side, his romantic vein is to swoon for!! Everything he done to make sure he could rescue Jade from M's hands and give her the freedom she deserves is astounding.
Jade... so beautiful, such a good soul, even after everything she went through since so little, she's always hoping for the best... although very mature, I found her a little naive. I'm sure if she was more confident and sassy in some situations it would make the story even better!
I loved the way they met, it was fantastic! I think I will always remember this book every time I see a Snickers chocolate!
The whole plot is so well developed and intriguing, everything fits wonderfully and will not make you wondering about anything in the end... well one thing maybe, and I truly hope J.L. Perry will give us Josh and Theo story in the future, I'm sure it will be bombastic!!

Wow. I was HOOKED - the story follows Jade, who has been brought up in the foster system until, at the age of 11, she is adopted by a seemingly wealthy socialite. Madam Melody (or is it Monster Melody?) ensures that Jade has everything she could ever dream of, personal trainer, clothes, vacations, finishing school, but never love or affection. It soon became clear that Madam had big plans for Jade, and at the age of 18 she was groomed and ready to face life as a high class escort.
Brock on the other hand grew up privileged, owned his own company and never had relationships. When Brock and Jade meet at the airport en route to New York the attraction is instant. Jade knows that nothing can come of this, she still has 2 more years with Madam, but when their paths cross in a New York hotel, the temptation is just too much. One night together changes both their lives forever. Brock is used to getting what he wants, Madam Melody never lets her girls get involved with other men. It's a battle of good versus evil with so many twists and turns along the way. I loved the plot, loved the dual POV, some super hot chemistry between Brock and Jade, interesting characters and lots of emotion all make for an entertaining read.

From the Cover to the Blurb and every word in Between, Jodi L Perry wrote a phenomenal book.
Hooker is a book that will have you sucked in, grab a glass a wine or coffee, chocolate, make sure the kids can fend for themselves and lock yourself away, as you won’t be coming back out until this book is finished.
Hooker is exactly that, the heading tells you exactly what Jade is, what is doesn’t tell you, is that you heart will drop, you will scream, you will fall head over heels in love with Brock, you will want to adopt Jade as your own, you will want to Murder M and Brocks dad, you will feel so many emotions, that the heading of this book is so deceiving as there is so much more to this book than Jade being a Hooker.
Brock on the other hand, move over ladies he is taken!!! Holy hotness where did this man come from? A new book boyfriend is about to hit the book world, so Jodi be prepared…

The title says it all, I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down..
Jade is brought up in the foster care system moving from home to home until she is adopted by a wealthy socialite Madam Melody. On the face of it life is rosy she has vacations, clothes and a private schooling but life is not always as it seems. M controls Jade and has her under contract.
When Jade walks into Brock at a airport shop the attraction is instant, but for Jade the attraction can go no where she is still controlled by M what she didn't expect was Brock's determination to keep her in his life.
This book is a love story that's full of emotions, its a rollercoaster, it has twists and turns but most of all its good v evil .
Can true love win, will Jade escape M and will she be able to move on...
"You may not be able to change the past, but you can shape your future"
This book is told in dual POV and I loved it. I loved the characters and the bonds they had.
This is an amazing book and I'm not sure my words give it justice so I'm going to leave you with you need to read this book .

Brock - He wasn't looking for a relationship but one chance meeting with Jade might have him changing his mind about relationships.
I thought the chemistry with Jade and brock as good. Jade was so strong and I admired her for that with all that she had to endure. This was a good read for me.

Magnificent love story! A story of overcoming what life throws at you. This is nothing like I thought it'd be...it was BETTER that I could've imagined! A story full of tears, laughter, love, hot sex, and redemption....you won't want to put this down. This will definitely go on your top favorite list as it has mine!!

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A GREAT STORY WITH PLENTY HOTNESS LOOK NO FURTHER
A pretty woman type romance
Jade was put into foster care when she was a baby At the age of 11 she was then adopted by a woman who she thought was going to be her new family and someone to love but Jade was groomed, taught to be a seductress and when she reached the right age transformed by a greedy uncaring woman into a high class escort to make Madam M money.
Jade was controlled and only had her body guard as a friend. Jade was allowed one week vacation time so she went to New York this is when she literally bumped into Brock Weston while enjoying a chocolate bar in the airport, Brock was captivated by Jade and she became Snickers girl in his thoughts until he saw her again at the hotel.
Both characters had instant chemistry but a relationship wasn't allowed for Jade.
I loved the journey in this story which was told in first person dual pov's, you could feel what the characters were going through and read the thoughts of both characters.
"It’s funny how one person can change everything. Change you. How one fleeting moment in time has the ability to redirect your path in life. To give your future meaning and hope. How something as simple as love can heal even the most damaged heart."
Brock is a one night stand kind of man but after spending one night with Jade the hot multi millionaire that is determined to find his snickers girl.
There are twists in the plot and I was completely captivated from start to finish, The sex scenes were off the charts hot too.
A fairy tale ending and the author left nothing to the imagination following it through right to the end with victory for Jade and a very, very happily ever after.

An Enjoyable Read!
I really enjoyed reading about Jade and Brock, and how their relationship developed from what initially appeared to be short term and without a future, to them needing to be together and trying to manage all the obstacles in their path.
Considering the content of this story, it really isn't overly graphic with descriptions of what Jade has been through, and I didn't find it to be too dark a read - Jade having a horrific childhood......going on to be adopted by Madam Melody. Who, at the start doesn't seem to mistreat her, but has the long term plan of making her a Hooker. She is very strict and restrictive regarding Jade's lifestyle.......to Jade then having a chance run in with Brock which will in the end completely change her life (YAY!). Overall, Jade comes across as a positive person doing the best she can, looking ahead to what the future may bring her.

When you have buddy friends this prepares you to book or surprises which hiding in story.. Before starting this I knew what will happen and like or dislike book..Thanks Dilek... First part of book was really nice. Characters, twists, attraction.... middle of the book tension started dissappear and through the end I didnt like it.. But when I think it as a whole I can say book is like 4 stars... (first part 5 second part 3 and end 2 to be honest)

I am not going to lie - this is the first book by Ms Perry that I have read (even though I have had her books on my kindle and my bookshelf for what seems like forever).
Hooker had me hooked from the first word to the last.
From the minute we meet Jade I had a sense of hope for her - but with the title of the book I also had a sense of foreboding that I should have known what was going to hit me.
It was gut-wrenching, heart-breakingly sad.
Until Brock. Can I just take a minute to swoon over Brock Weston.... OK, I am back. I don't want to give too much away about him, but you will agree with me when you read him
Jade and Brock's story is one heck of an emotional rollercoaster. Hate. Despair, Love. And most importantly... Hope.
Hope for the life Jade wants to live. Hope she can get away from the situation she has been put in. Hope the she and Brock can have a relationship. Hope for love.
This was not your ordinary romance. I felt it was so much more.
Ms Perry grabbed my attention right from the start, and I was drawn into Brock and Jade's world, dragging me along for one heck of a ride.
The story flowed, was well paced and as much as I wanted to get to the end to find out what happened, I didn't want it to end.
Like the advertisements say, "Snickers really satisfies" (you will get this when you read)
Now, I am off to grab her other books off my shelf and kick myself for taking so long to read them.

The story begins with Jade literally bumping into Brock (Mr. Delicious) at the airport where she is taking a much deserved vacation, making her drop her most precious of indulgences, a Snickers Bar. Immediate attraction, a heated chocolate moment, and Brock is very intrigued by Jade. They meet again by accident at the hotel in New York where they are both staying and Brock invites her on a date, first obtaining permission from Jade’s bodyguard and friend, Rupert.

What ensues is a rollercoaster of events that will leave the reader’s head and heart swimming with emotions, a deep hatred of M and her henchmen, a gruesome discovery that gives Rupert some closure, but also wondering if Jade and Brock will get a HEA. This is a wonderful, dark romance from JL Perry and I highly recommend 1-clicking this to get the answers!

What ensues is a rollercoaster of events that will leave the reader’s head and heart swimming with emotions, a deep hatred of M and her henchmen, a gruesome discovery that gives Rupert some closure, but also wondering if Jade and Brock will get a HEA. This is a wonderful, dark romance from JL Perry and I highly recommend 1-clicking this to get the answers!

Beautiful! This story captivated me from start to finish.
There is so much to this story. So much meaning and depth. It’s full of many emotions: hope, despair, worry, heartache, and love.
Seeing into Jade's past and learning everything she's been through and what led to her life as a hooker is heartbreaking. The things she’s been through will clutch at your heart. Jade is such a beautiful character. She’s so incredibly strong and she's got a heart of gold. No matter what is handed to her, she somehow always finds light. Her will to survive and never give up is incredible.
“I’ve learnt over the years that there’s no point dwelling on things you can’t change. Accepting things for what they are and moving forward as best I can is something I’ve mastered. It’s how I survive. I could easily let it get me down, but what good would that do me?”
When Jade meets Brock, things change. Get ready to fall head over heels for Brock. This guy is everything, and the leaps and bounds he goes through for Jade will melt your heart.
